13/09/2026: A large, rustic dining room, richly decorated with the restaurant's emblem, a rooster. A large, shaded terrace with comfortable chairs. Perhaps best avoided on summer evenings due to mosquitoes. The manager's welcome was average, even cold, unlike her husband's. It's like night and day. As for the cuisine, it's traditional, generous portions overall, featuring mostly local products. Good homemade desserts, especially the Chartreuse iced soufflé.

11/10/2026: A real treat last night at Brasserie de l’OM! We had a lovely dinner last night at Brasserie OM Café on the Old Port… and frankly, we had a wonderful time! The setting was fantastic with a view of the port, and the atmosphere was friendly and typically Marseillais. The service was top-notch: smiling, attentive, and efficient, we felt truly welcome. The dishes were excellent: fresh ingredients, generous portions, and bold flavors. We loved our meal from start to finish. Special mention for the atmosphere, which really makes you want to come back. In short, a wonderful evening, we'll definitely be back! Go OM! 💙🤍

09/10/2026: A must-stop after the market. A typically Provençal spot in the middle of the square with its fountain. Plus, you can eat dishes prepared by the market vendors right there – we love it!

08/10/2026: After ordering four glasses of white wine, the waiter told us the price per glass and the price of the bottle, without offering any other wines. He even mentioned that his colleague had opened a less expensive Chardonnay, but that he would bring us the local wine (which was more expensive), without letting us tell him we wanted the Chardonnay. Since the bottle wasn't opened in front of us, and its quality was only average, we will always have doubts about the wine we were served.

10/10/2026: I don't usually give restaurants bad reviews, but with an average rating of 4.1/5, I couldn't help myself. First, the service was nothing special. But hey, we're there to eat, after all. So, as for the food, for €28 for the set menu (starter/main/dessert), I got a rather uninteresting salmon crumble, Thai chicken with very basic rice, and finally, a crème brûlée that was nothing special. Overall, it wasn't bad, but very disappointing nonetheless, not to mention a glass of red wine that cost over €5 and was frankly awful. I understand it's by the sea, but you can find much better places for a similar price just a half-minute walk away.

23/09/2026: The food was excellent and of high quality. However, the service was very disappointing. Although we arrived before other customers (clearly regulars), they were served well before us. The wait was particularly long throughout the meal. It's a shame to give a mixed review when the food is definitely worth the trip, but equal treatment of customers and time management are also part of the overall experience.

02/09/2026: A very busy place, outside particularly. Wonderful food, we had Fritto Misto to start and Moules to follow. The Moules à la Normande was truly delicious and large. I can't fault the service, definitely on French time, because of the number of diners. Very good value for money. I would certainly return. PS The menu de jour looked lovely too. Thanks to all the staff, especially for their patience, as I was trying desperately to get back into speaking french on my first day back in France.

28/05/2026: A very good stopover, excellent food and a very varied breakfast featuring high-quality local products! Pleasant and attentive staff, very good value for money! Very comfortable beds, and a magnificent location on this lovely 17th-century square.

21/10/2026: The Au Boeuf Noir restaurant is located in Hésingue, in southern Alsace. The cuisine is prepared with the freshest ingredients, highlighting autumn dishes. The pan-seared foie gras, hare à la royale, and the revisited chestnut tart dessert were all delicious. The dining room is warm and inviting, perfect for a pleasant meal.

11/10/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful time at Le Bœuf Noir! A huge thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome, kindness, and flexibility. There were 13 of us celebrating a birthday, and everything went perfectly. The restaurant even allowed us to bring our own decorations, which made this special occasion even more special. The service was top-notch, and the team was incredibly accommodating! We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! 😊
