23/10/2026: A wonderful discovery! We had booked lunch for three people on Monday, October 19, 2026. The welcome was fantastic, the decor was lovely, and the establishment was very clean. It's close to Place de la Comédie and easily accessible by tram. We chose the set lunch menu. The food was excellent, and the portions were very generous. The service was top-notch. A great place to discover, and we will definitely be back.

18/10/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. I ordered a foie gras for €14 that tasted exactly like Fleury Michon duck mousse, with the flavor, of course. Then, an entrecote as thick as a pork chop, full of sinew and fat, like chewing gum, all for €23. My friend ordered a tasteless carpaccio with jelly that I suspect was frozen. And their waiter? Don't even get me started. In short, avoid this place.

07/08/2026: We went to the restaurant for our son's birthday, and since my husband is a connoisseur of rum… what a wonderful surprise! The sea view didn't detract from the generous and delicious cuisine, nor from the friendly and welcoming service. The rums were divine, and Andrea's tour made the experience truly special! I wholeheartedly recommend it, and I wish them a bright future in the world of rum; they have all the ingredients for success!

28/09/2026: We arrived at 6:30 PM! The restaurant was about 1/5 full. There were 6 people serving. We had to wait until 6:45 PM to order. We asked for 25 cl of rosé wine, but white wine arrived, followed by a terrine which we refused since we hadn't ordered it. At 7:45 PM, after we had to ask again, our main course arrived: two kebab skewers with fries! The fries arrived cold, so we sent them back. The kebab skewer was overcooked and far from great! Our neighbors at the next table (2 people), who arrived much later, were served before us and received their aperitif in the middle of their meal. At one point, the waitress, who was at a nearby table serving, said she needed to sit down because she felt like crying, which she did. We didn't order dessert given the chaos. When we got to the register to pay, my table, number 106, didn't correspond to our menu! And with so many people at the till to pay, she was completely overwhelmed! She had to figure out who had two skewers at their table! On a show night when the restaurant should have been doing well, even though there were only six people serving and not a single grill cook! There was absolutely no organization. I think some people must have left without paying! It was a total fiasco. I won't be going back anytime soon! No wonder so many Courtepaille restaurants have gone out of business.

27/09/2026: As a loyal customer for years, for the past few months, I haven't been able to find my Courtepaille. Twice in a row we've tried to go... the first time was on a Sunday evening at 7 pm... there was practically nothing left on the menu 😓 The second time, we arrived around 6:40 pm, we were going to a show at the Zenith at 8 pm, the restaurant was almost empty, but the manager told us we wouldn't have been able to leave before 8:30 pm because they were short-staffed. In short, in over 10 years, we never had this problem, but since Mokhtar and Flavien left, it seems like nothing is running smoothly anymore. We're disappointed because we loved going there to eat, often even twice a week, but now, I don't know if we'll go back.

22/10/2026: What wonderful encounters! We booked on a whim, drawn in by the description of the restaurant's homemade cuisine and charming atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were warmly invited to share a table with a lovely young Swiss couple, where we exchanged recommendations. The meal was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We felt so comfortable in this restaurant that we immediately booked for the next day. The following day, we shared a table with a regular customer who is a friend of the owners. Throughout the meal, we learned so much… it was a truly enriching experience, both culturally and personally, not to mention the delicious food and even the complimentary appetizers! We are outraged to read some of the negative reviews… this couple who run the restaurant are simply genuine, down-to-earth, and authentic! Stay just as you are, and too bad for those who miss out! The number of regular customers is a testament to the quality of these wonderful people. We will definitely be back just for you!

26/09/2026: We came as a group for lunch; the setting was very pleasant, and the food was really very good. However, the service was more than mediocre... We were rushed at every point during the meal, and at the end, we were practically ushered out with a "clap, let's close up!"... Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day, judging by the other reviews...

04/10/2026: I hate leaving bad reviews, but this is ridiculous. We booked a table for 20 people through Privateaser. The website offered different sections of the terrace for reservation, and I chose the front terrace. Reservation confirmed, a nice little message from the owner, everything seemed fine! Upon arrival, the reservation had been "lost." The staff, extremely unpleasant, asked me if I had a confirmed reservation and seemed completely unconcerned. We were eventually offered a poorly located table, but oh well, we didn't have much choice. There were about twenty of us, so finding something else at the last minute would have been difficult. The waiters were unusually aggressive and rude. They were incredibly pushy when taking our order; we were barely seated when they said, "Well, we didn't reserve a table for you just so you wouldn't order," (the nerve!) and kept coming back every two minutes to ask if we'd chosen, to hurry up (the nerve!), etc. (It was 10 PM and the restaurant closes at 2 AM.) The dessert we ordered at 11:30 PM to celebrate our birthday, so we'd have it in time for midnight, arrived at 12:25 AM, with a MATCHING LIGHT instead of a candle. After several reminders, the servers became aggressive with one of my friends: "Did you order from me? No, go ask the person you ordered from." The second server left when my friend asked, and the third asked, "But you even ordered?" He then checked the order pad, realized we had indeed ordered, and without apologizing (of course), said he was going to take it back. Mistakes in the orders, a very unpleasant atmosphere, catastrophic customer service... For an establishment that forgot a reservation, you'd expect better service. The retractable awning for rainy days was never set up, which is really convenient when half the people end up with the rain at their backs. The pushy server who insisted we blow out the match/candle while we were singing. It was extremely difficult to communicate with them; they were incredibly dishonest and uncaring. Just because a place is well-located doesn't mean you can get away with anything. In short, the service was deplorable. Out of 20 people, we all had the same opinion: it was a disaster! Avoid at all costs!
