22/01/2026: Price-quality ratio too high. Heard a lot about it. What a disappointment! Even the table next to us packed up and left! Extremely long wait to eat. Something that's pretty typical for us. The charcuterie was mediocre and too salty (in my opinion, anyway). Grated... charred on top and barely cooked inside... and the absolute worst part... four mâche leaves... four! Amazing, right?! Dessert and coffee rushed... and we finally got there after two hours... Never again. A quick note: "Sorry for the wait, but there are only two of us to serve you" would have made up for my disappointment. But hey... we're not all cut from the same cloth.

24/11/2025: We had an absolutely wonderful meal! The Fourme cheese fondue was delicious; we loved it, and it was a new discovery for us! The only downside was that the fries and potato pancakes were a bit too greasy/oily! But otherwise, it was perfect. I highly recommend it!

25/11/2025: A wonderful discovery, made entirely by chance. The restaurant was almost full on a Tuesday lunchtime, which was very reassuring. The set menu was €17.50 (starter, main course, and dessert), with generous and beautifully presented portions—exactly what was needed for customers heading back to work. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The setting was pleasant and very clean. Well done, keep it up!

24/11/2025: The cassoulet was absolutely top-notch! My colleague's duck breast was cooked perfectly. The waitress was beyond amazing! I'd even come back from Pau!

16/01/2026: New owner and new name. The new owner, who is friendly, offers a menu of traditional dishes made with local ingredients (from nearby farms). I stopped by at 11:30 am and it smelled delicious. I encourage you to go and see for yourself.

28/10/2025: I'm in the restaurant right now. It's not my first time here; I eat at a lot of restaurants about once a month because of my job. I'm always warmly welcomed with a smile, and the food is good and fresh. And it's not expensive at all. I highly recommend it. If you want to eat well, have a good time, and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, stop by.

29/11/2025: Aside from the beach view, this restaurant is terrible. We arrived as a couple to order a pizza and a plate of mussels, and they were completely out. They should find another line of work. Avoid it.

20/10/2025: A must-see beachfront destination! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the warm atmosphere. The service is welcoming, attentive, and friendly; you immediately feel at home. The food is flawless: fresh, perfectly prepared ingredients, authentic flavors, and beautifully presented. A special mention goes to the absolutely divine homemade desserts 😋 The setting is both elegant and relaxed; you can enjoy the sound of the waves while savoring refined and generous cuisine. 👉 A real favorite, we'll definitely be back!

29/10/2025: We have known and frequented this establishment for several years. It was with great pleasure that we returned this October for three nights. What can I say? The room is beautifully decorated and clean, the breakfast is very good, and Simone is wonderful. I highly recommend this guesthouse, which knows how to welcome its guests. It's very well located, just a stone's throw from Chaudes-Aigues and its thermal spa, Laguiole, and La Chaldette, another spa town. Thank you very much for your hospitality, and see you soon... 22/10/2025: Very pleasant stay. We were very well received in this old hotel, the entire space (bar, kitchens, lounge, etc.) was at our disposal. The rooms are very comfortable. Ideal for small groups of hikers.

22/12/2024: Oblige to put a star otherwise I would not have given any yesterday order very dry Greek without sauce or onion fries overcooked inedible and to finish I had a fish for my 2 year old child the fish was not even cooked I I called the restaurant to show my dissatisfaction, no excuses, I was told to contact Uber and hung up on me, I called again to get the manager directly, no one answered, I would go directly, it's shameful

16/09/2025: Welcoming! They allowed me to arrive after closing time exceptionally! You can cook great there! Simple and sober decor in the room I had...with a beautiful view of the mountain which was nice!

19/08/2025: Perfect! A small, clean apartment, very well-equipped and ideally located, with comfortable bedding. Arrival and departure times were convenient and flexible. Excellent value for money as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

28/08/2025: On our recent trip to Provence we found this gem of a restaurant that serves good honest food and has a very friendly waitress and owner You can get a 3 course meal with wine and coffee included for €17.50 Superb value we loved Cafe De L'universe, its where the locals & workers go and we loved being amongst that atmosphere....try it you won't be disappointed
