The tarte flambée with Munster cheese was very good, the small salad delicious, not to mention the dessert: a kugelhopf French toast style that was excellent. A big plus for the very quiet location. 27/09/2026: Visited on Friday, September 18, 2026, for dinner. The fish soup was indigestible; I vomited it up for one to two hours after eating it, resulting in a very bad night's sleep. The soup must have been well past its expiration date. However, the woman who also took our orders was very friendly.

05/09/2026: A small, simple but very well-run hotel right in the center of Brignoles. The rooms are modest, but impeccably clean and the bedding is comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and functional. But above all, the breakfast reflects the hotel itself: simple yet generous. The staff is helpful and very pleasant. And to top it all off, I appreciated being able to park my motorcycle in the shade in the small parking lot directly opposite the hotel. I didn't have dinner there, but the dishes looked mouthwatering and had the delicious aroma of home cooking. In short, a highly recommended place with good value for money.

20/08/2026: A wonderful discovery on our way to the Black Forest! We stopped at the Auberge du Waldmeister for lunch and had a lovely time. The Norwegian salad was generously filled with bacon and delicious. But the real highlight was the homemade chocolate mousse… absolutely excellent! A truly authentic mousse that reminded me of the one my Belgian grandmother used to make. Needless to say, the Weck didn't last long! A great place to stop again if we're ever in the area. 🤗🍫

15/09/2026: The waitress with the two-tone hair is simply awful, unfriendly, and arrogant. She does, however, have one great quality: she knows perfectly well how to drive customers away! In other words: go to "La Finca" café on Boulevard Richard Lenoir instead: a nicer place with competent staff. A thousand times better! And Le Paris: forget it!!!! *** Update: your response is wonderfully off-base: no, you don't go back to a place where you're treated badly!!!!!

14/07/2026: If I had known they would put me in a dirty, under-construction room, I would have never booked this place. To make matters worse, they only inform you *after* you check in that there are absolutely no cancellations allowed. It feels like a trap to lock you into a 4-night stay once you see how bad the accommodations actually are. The Room: I wasn't even in the actual chateau; they put me in a stuffy, under-construction annex building. The carpets were filthy and looked at least 20 years old. The AC: The air conditioning made a loud, disruptive shooting noise all night, making it impossible to sleep. The Service: I had to ask twice over two days just to get anyone to look at the broken AC. They have no concept of customer service. Like some other reviewers mentioned about the customer service of the staff, smiling is optional. The Restaurant: The only saving grace. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is decent. The rooms are worse than a cheap motel for a huge price, and the management's policy and attitude are not friendly. Do not book this place.

08/09/2026: Perfect location; look beyond the front, to the garden under the magnificent tree that provides perfect natural shade. Free, easy parking in their own parking lot across the street. I watched my own meals and those of all the neighbors closely, spied on them. Sorry, but without exception, perfect for a small price. I had their specialty, their sirloin steak (see photo), with delicious blue cheese sauce. Lunch was rounded off with an off-menu (?) cheese selection, a cheese board, and a 'Colonel'. I'm going to make a detour for this from now on! The daily menu is 14 euros, but two of us also had the mix of fresh tomatoes and mozzarella (buffalo) cheese as a starter. Wow!

23/08/2026: We come to Gigi's every year and are never disappointed! It's like a holiday ritual! The setting, the service, the food—everything is perfect! This year, the mussels and fries were amazing, very generous portions, as was the plate of fried calamari with homemade béarnaise sauce.
