We were touched by the thoughtfulness of Olivier and Pauline (if I'm not mistaken about her name, but she'll know who she is). Our guests were delighted, and for those who hadn't tried the restaurant before, it was a wonderful discovery. The dessert perfectly met our expectations. Best wishes to all.

23/11/2025: Very disappointed. The restaurant was cold. The cod fillet was more like a loin, as I got the tail, and it was very dry, even grilled. The portion of rice was small. The chocolate mousse was just cream. I really expected better.

21/01/2026: You know, I've been through some tough times in my life… this one's in my top 10, and spoiler alert, it's not 10th. I was expecting a complete dump, given its proximity to the train station. But surprisingly full, I decided to give it a try. A €16 set menu that also looked quite tempting. The dream was short-lived. We received our goat cheese tarts less than two minutes after ordering. I can tell you they weren't exactly fresh, just like the salad, which must have grown in the basement of Matabiau station. The main course was much the same: a sirloin steak more rubbery than the tires on my Peugeot 205, and the same weeds… er… sorry, salad. Honorable mention for the fries, which were actually pretty good! After the first two rounds, we weren't sure we'd make it to the third, but if we were going to be stuck in the bathroom anyway, we might as well get a proper search. And then our Viking appetites got the better of us. The result? A beautiful panna cotta with a red berry coulis made with toothpaste… mind you, no need for chewing gum to finish the meal. In short, save your immune system and walk a few extra meters to eat. You won't miss your train.
21/01/2026: A very pleasant surprise: a daily special with perfectly cooked rare sirloin steak and fries for only €10. On top of that, we were served very quickly. Simple, efficient, and excellent value for money. If you need to eat before catching a train, like I did today, I highly recommend it!

29/10/2025: Hello, after reading the other comments I thought, "Okay, this looks good," but I ended up with a whole container of oil. I took three fries, and when I squeezed them, there was an enormous amount of oil. Well, at least the advantage is that you don't need a can of soda since there's plenty of oil in the fries. If you like oil, I personally recommend it. This is the first time in my life I've eaten a kebab with a fork, and if I have stomach problems, I'll see a doctor. I'll say I ate at the Petit Four de Saint Arnould, and we'll see what happens next. They should hire more cooks or close down for good.
26/10/2025: Nothing to say about the quality, but when you order a honey goat cheese, I would like there to be honey. And especially that the cooks in the kitchen discreetly say "don't put too much honey". In any case, the goat cheese was good, I hope that next time the honey will be too

22/10/2025: The Gymnase Montparnasse was an unexpected delight on the corner of Bd Raspail, 3 or 4 doors down from our boutique hotel. We knew from the Les Frenchies FB page to look for restaurants that feature their daily offerings on chalkboards. Check! And to look for where the locals eat. Check check! We went out to find a light supper on our first day in Paris, and heard only French conversations among everyone eating at the small tables outside. We made our selections from the chalkboard and were very pleased with the smoked salmon appetizer and the burrata veggie salad appetizer! The serving staff was busy but oh so friendly! We felt we made instant friends with our local eatery and highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet, low-key but fun eatery off the beaten path!

23/08/2025: A small, unassuming restaurant, but well worth the detour. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The staff is simply adorable. We are of Caribbean and Réunion Island descent, and we loved the cod fritters and the sausage rougail. Our compliments to the chef! If you're passing through, don't hesitate to come by.

02/02/2026: How to put it? The word is bland. The setting is beautiful, but it was very difficult to find the restaurant due to the lack of signage. After a pleasant welcome, the rest was more than mediocre. The order taker had a heavy-handed sense of humor, the food was cold or bland, the wines were offered without any explanation, and the light fixtures were covered in dust right in front of us. In short, we won't be going back, and it certainly doesn't inspire confidence for fine dining. It's a shame because the setting is truly lovely.

07/09/2025: I came to eat on Saturday evening, I ordered a Caesar salad for €19 and after 2 bites of salad I realized that the salad had a taste that didn't suit me so I didn't eat any more, I paid and I only left after midnight. I was very sick with hot flashes, heartburn and vomiting. It's a shame this is the 3rd time I've eaten in this establishment during the MotoAlpes festival but this time it was the last time.

21/11/2025: Look at this apple and Calvados tarte flambée! You can find it in many restaurants, but this... This is the Mona Lisa of apple tarte flambée, a masterpiece that tastes as good as it looks 🥲 The other tarte flambées are also excellent and equally refined. We also tried the kidneys, the veal escalope with cream sauce, and the sirloin steak, and they were all delicious, made with high-quality meat! We highly recommend it.
19/10/2025: I'm only giving it two stars because the wait was too long. 15 minutes between each flame is a long time. It's true that there were a lot of people there that night, which perhaps explains the wait. We'll come back another time, hoping for peace and quiet, because tables of 20 and 10 and the resulting noise aren't pleasant if you want peace and quiet.
