18/11/2024: La nourriture est originale mais nos plats n'étaient pas très chaud. Les desserts sont eux très riches et manque de finesse. L'addition peut vite grimper! Je ne pense pas renouveller l'expérience là prochaine fois sur Avignon!

12/09/2024: Service ok. But lousy meal, foie gras ok as a starter, but after main courses langoustines and me full of sauces which completely distort the taste of the dish!!!. Specialty soufflé crepe dessert, meh, nothing more. Fortunately we had chosen a good wine to wash this down. Price €210 for 2. It's not up to standard and there are much better in the region, particularly in Uzege.

07/09/2024: First experience at l’Evidence: successful! Very accommodating and friendly waitresses (or bosses?). Food: Chicken skewers - Eggplant caviar - Tuna and Panacota rillettes Chestnut cream: Excellent...and very nice decor (room upstairs). I was waiting to find a new place like this or feel good. Fair prices. I will come back to test Live Music.

17/08/2024: Back here after around a year or so. Same staff, friendly welcome as before. Three had fish and chips, myself the burger and chips. All very good, decent quality and plentiful. Couple of us had desserts, cheesecake and a chocolate type mouse, finished with coffees. Excellent draught Guinness served too. A really enjoyable evening.

29/09/2024: A very good surprise. As soon as you pass the door, you arrive in a very cozy interior. Lunch on a Sunday noon with people but not very noisy because it is spacious. Very tasty 33 euro menu and presentation of dishes worthy of a Michelin star, succulent meat (bavette and duck breast) fish also very good with original desserts (rare these days) Impeccable service with very welcoming owners. To do again!

30/09/2024: Today, we arrived at the hotel for check-in at 3 p.m., as confirmed in our reservation. However, we were informed that an ambassador was occupying our room and had just checked out, leaving us to wait for the room to be cleaned. Disappointed, we walked around in the rain with no clear timeline, even though 3 p.m. was the confirmed check-in time. After waiting over two hours, at 5:20p.m., we were finally told our room was ready. There were no apologies, no complimentary drinks, or any form of gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the delay, almost as if we should understand that we were secondary to an ambassador. After entering our room we both commented that this looked very much like a standard room, not becoming of an ambassador, the room was not what we saw when booking it online, (it showed a newly updated room). The room was very dated in some areas, our room bathroom needed an upgrade, the the grout is very dirty, the bathtub plug did not work, the wall in the main bedroom area had water damage, and the hotel does not have a fine dining restaurant, which is a significant defficiency for na hotel claiming 5 star status. We asked to speak to the hotel manager but were told he was unavailable and that they would have him contact us. Our stay with you with expectations of a 5-star facility on the occasion of our 25th anniversary has not begun well, and to top it off we spent the first night trying to find another hotel to check into for the next day, so much for our special day. We contacted by the Hotel Manager Sean the next day and we requested to cancel our next 2 nights, as we wanted to find another more updated 5 star hotel. Since we had already paid an astronomical fee for the first night, we certainly didn't want to waste any more money on this hotel. We should have been compensated by a partial refund if anything. 29/08/2024: Friendly staff, good simple and efficient meal, the cook must be in love because the meal was a little too salty for "OUR TASTE" I specify. The portions are correct and even plentiful for children.
