20/08/2026: WARNING!!! Under new ownership since December 2024. The menu, staff, and prices are completely different. Very disappointed that they advertised "homemade" food that was anything but. A grumpy waitress, a minimalist menu that's all over the place... In short, all good things must come to an end, and our favorite holiday restaurant is no more...

14/08/2026: We initially stopped there for a light snack on the terrace (the Liège waffles were excellent). And, looking at the menu, we were drawn to their Savoyard cider fondue... So we decided to try it and went back one evening. What a great decision! The fondue lived up to the first good impression we had made with the Liège waffles. The food was excellent, and the staff were welcoming and very accommodating. In short, a pleasant atmosphere, and we enjoyed everything there. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a good place for a meal, a snack, or even just a drink.

Today my daughter was crying and desperately needed to use the restroom. We explained the situation to the manager and told him we were willing to get a table, but he and his staff still refused to let her use it. She was a child in obvious distress, yet they chose to turn her away. Whatever image of elegance this restaurant projects, basic consideration for a child in this situation should come first. The way the manager and his staff handled this situation was completely unacceptable. It was an experience we will not forget, and it left us with an extremely poor impression of the restaurant and its management. This is not the level of hospitality one would expect from an establishment of this kind in Paris. --- This is a very nice restaurant with an upscale appearance, but unfortunately our experience was deeply disappointing and disturbing. We explained the situation to the manager and told him we were ready to take a table, but he and his staff still refused to let her use the restroom. Regardless of the image of elegance this restaurant tries to project, a minimum of consideration for a child in such a situation should be paramount. The way the manager and his staff handled this situation was completely unacceptable. It's an experience we won't forget and one that has left us with a very negative impression of this restaurant and its management. This is not the level of service and hospitality one has the right to expect from an establishment of this caliber in Paris.

11/10/2026: One of the only cafes open on Sundays in Grenoble with Wi-Fi and power outlets, but they turn away students who come to work because computers are "forbidden on weekends." Having come to work one Sunday afternoon, we (me and about twenty other people, who were the only customers in the cafe) were asked to close our computers after an hour, thus preventing us from working (after having ordered, of course). What's the point of setting up a cafe that seems designed for people wanting to work, while prohibiting them on weekends, which is the only time we need to work (libraries are closed and we have classes during the week)? I understand the intention to prioritize families, friends, and groups, but judging by the clientele, the cafe is favoring a clientele it doesn't have at the expense of its already established customer base. Very disappointed, I won't be going back.

13/07/2026: My go-to restaurant!!! When I read the negative reviews, I wonder if these people have actually had lunch or dinner at Violette! The welcome is unparalleled in the neighborhood, the dishes are perfectly representative of true French cuisine, and the wine list is simple but offers a more than sufficient selection. A family restaurant, the kind that's all too rare in Paris. Enjoy it without moderation! And to all those who are still dissatisfied, I recommend the Burger King at Saint-Lazare! It will probably be more to your liking and more budget-friendly!

09/07/2026: A brasserie with a welcoming and typically Parisian atmosphere. Although the prices are quite high, starting at €30 for a meal, the quality remains excellent, with fresh and well-prepared ingredients. My suggestion would be to add a set lunch menu (main course + dessert, for example).

05/08/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a cozy atmosphere; the nautical-themed room is lovely. The food is delicious, made with fresh ingredients. The only slight drawback is the limited selection of desserts.

15/09/2026: A restaurant where the food is excellent, with flavorful cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and very pleasant service. Special mention goes to the octopus casserole. A great restaurant for lunch with a really nice set menu, and for dinner with a lovely à la carte menu featuring high-quality, well-prepared dishes bursting with international flavors. A must-try!
