06/07/2025: Thanks to the entire team at the inn: professional, dynamic, and friendly. We had a wonderful time with friends for a sleepless night, especially in terms of clothing. The owners provided a wonderful welcome. We had a wonderful time from start to finish. A beautiful place with its pond, its animals, and its light displays at night.
A big congratulations to the saxophonist who carried us away with his music all evening.
I highly recommend L'Auberge de la Tour. Thanks to FIFI for introducing us to this magical place.

The suite we occupied, with a double terrace and jacuzzi, was exposed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to continuous and noisy construction site noise, forcing us to keep the windows closed (which did not completely solve the problem). Without mentioning the problems of access to the site and traffic.
We complained about this situation, which had not been mentioned during our reservation, to the hotel reception team who of course provided no response or compensation, remaining bunkered behind the counter. Typical reaction of poorly trained staff by negligent and distant leaders, incapable of empathy and spirit of service.
However, we learn that this work is being undertaken by the hotel due to expansion, which makes them doubly responsible.
Too bad, the hotel is well equipped and pleasant, and the housekeeping and catering staff are very friendly and attentive.
Wait until this work is completed to book, the place is currently unbearable.

15/09/2024: Conosco il ristorante Santa Maria da diverso tempo e si conferma un’eccellenza di Calvi. Situato sotto la cittadella, si caratterizza per un’atmosfera accogliente e piacevole. Favoloso il polpo alla mediterranea piatto forte del menù del locale. Eccellenti anche gli spaghetti alle vongole. Ottimi i desserts. Consigliato.
01/09/2024: Plats très bon et copieux. Seuls les beignets de fromage en entrée ont été une fausse note. La pâte à beignet est farineuse et prend le dessus sur le fromage qui n’a pas de goût. Tout le reste était impeccable et c’est une très bonne adresse.

We preferred to stop there and turn around even though we had reserved.
At this rate, another door that we will soon see closed! You don't have to wonder why!

17/08/2024: Bel endroit. Le tataki de thon était très bon. Pour le reste il faudrait pouvoir goûter toute la carte pour se faire un avis. Les serveurs sont sympas et le service plutôt rapide.
16/08/2024: Serveurs très sympa. Service rapide surtout quand on veut qu'un verre afin de continuer promener. L'endroit propre par rapport à l'autre restaurant à côté.

Nous suggérons que Daddy propose également un menu ou quelques plats et desserts pour les enfants.

05/09/2024: Very good little bistro! I advise you to try the daily specials, which are always excellent. The service on the other hand is a little slow and the room can get noisy but personally I find that this is part of the charm of the place.

05/09/2024: An exceptional culinary experience at La Table de Castigno! This gourmet restaurant nestled in the heart of the village of Assignan was a real discovery.
The proposed menu was a journey for the senses: each dish, prepared with local ingredients, surprised us with its inventiveness and exquisite flavors. The combinations of tastes were sublime and the presentation of the dishes was very careful. Special mention for the dish in 3 preparations of Mediterranean Amberjack which combined bold flavors with incredible finesse.
The atmosphere of the dining room, with its refined decor and garden view, perfectly complemented the dining experience. The food and wine pairing proposed by the sommelier was also perfect, allowing us to discover local wines that went perfectly with the dishes.
Small negative point, the butler's service unfortunately did not match the quality of the cuisine. It lacked friendliness and attention, which somewhat contrasted with the professionalism of the rest of the team and the refinement of the establishment. A small downside which, I hope, will be improved in the future so that the experience is truly perfect.
I highly recommend La Table de Castigno to all food lovers looking for a unique experience. We will undoubtedly come back to relive this magical moment.

Thank you to Chefs Stephan Paroche and Justine Viano for their professionalism and perfection in this area. The sommelier is very professional and very involved in the choice of alcohol and drinks. A small negative point is the butler where he was non-existent in the middle and end of the meal.
