13/07/2026: A family lunch at La Cabriole, in a peaceful and authentic rural setting, with a superb view of the Haute-Loire countryside. Here, everything is prepared on the farm: the delicious goat cheeses, the kid raised on-site and cooked to perfection by Mrs. Grangeon, not to mention the excellent homemade desserts. Thank you to Jean for his warm welcome and advice, especially for discovering the local Mazesté beers and regional wines. A true farm-inn where people come for the quality of the products, the simplicity, and the authenticity. A truly wonderful experience that we will gladly repeat.

27/06/2026: I discovered this place in May 2025; their dishes were incredibly well-crafted, complete, and generous. This year I'm returning to this town partly for Le Marquis de Royat, which is still just as good. The quality/nutritional balance/price ratio is excellent, with a daily special for under €10. Thank you! The people of Royat are lucky to have you.

Each creation is made with great care and expertise. The welcome is warm and the service lives up to the pastries on offer. An excellent place to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion. 17/07/2026: I can't imagine starting the day without a coffee at Le Métro. The morning team at the bar and in the dining area is so friendly and welcoming; it's like meeting up with other regulars, a truly convivial atmosphere that's hard to find in bars around here anymore! And the soundtrack is always fantastic and perfectly suited to the occasion (a welcome change)! In short, I highly recommend breakfast at Le Métro... I hope the planned renovations don't take away this special neighborhood vibe! Thanks to R, B, and S, the 5 stars are yours!

15/07/2026: We loved our meal at Au Métro sitting outside with the fresh breeze next to a quiet square. The waiters were decent and the food was delicious, the resto is huge and can accomodate a lot of people. The only downside is not having AC. I recommend their confit de canard and the boeuf tartare.

21/05/2026: I don't really know what to say. We went in, asked for a table for four, and were told there would be a wait. I understand, but why? There was no one there, and we felt like we were bothering them. So, we just ordered one dish and left. Just look at the color of the fries in the photo. The place smells strongly of tobacco.

31/05/2026: Great experience for the PSG match, however, one of the waiters made a very inappropriate comment when I tried to help a friend who had a stain on her pants in the restroom… he implied that we should go one at a time… okay, fine, but then the “what are you going to do in there? Take cocaine?!”…?

Pleasant service with smiling and professional waiters, reasonable wait times, and a spacious restaurant. A very good experience from start to finish; we will gladly return!
