17/05/2026: +: A hotel at the foot of the mountain passes, well located. A spa and swimming pool that are a welcome treat after a day in the cold Auvergne weather. A hearty breakfast, good croissants. Bike parking. Owners who are accommodating to large group bookings. -: Basic but clean rooms! A cold welcome and patronizing, almost inappropriate remarks. Sometimes you get the feeling you're intruding even when members of the group ask "normal" questions (like the cold shower water...). It's a shame, because the setting is lovely.

12/06/2026: Disappointing. The road leading to the inn offers a beautiful view. Unfortunately, the inn is surrounded by trees whose canopies almost completely obscure this view. €30 Set Menu Starter: either half a buffalo mozzarella, or lettuce with three thin slices of cheese and "Italian charcuterie," a pompous term for four very thin slices of coppa. The main course was served on chipped plates! Either a quarter of a duck breast, already sliced ​​and overcooked, or a very dry grilled duck confit leg, accompanied by a small amount of potato gratin heavily flavored with nutmeg and very few seasonal vegetables. Desserts served: Avoid the croustade, which lacks butter. The baba isn't a baba at all, but rather a kind of pound cake soaked in a sugar syrup where you can barely detect the Armagnac, and topped with a tiny amount of canned whipped cream. The strawberry melba is served with a scoop of low-quality vanilla ice cream. Overall, very disappointing. It had been a long time since we'd been there, and we won't be going back.

26/05/2026: The hotel is well located in the historic center of Briançon, making it easy to explore the old town and enjoy the superb view from the square. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, several aspects were disappointing: We were not informed of the step at the entrance to our room, which is genuinely dangerous. The breakfast is also far too expensive for the quality offered; there are no local products, and overall it's quite mediocre!

The atmosphere and service would be perfect if the owner were less aggressive towards the staff in front of customers (shouting, verbal abuse, etc.). Overall hygiene is good, apart from a few minor issues (poorly washed cups, food scraps in our dish, poorly cleaned equipment, etc.).

28/07/2026: New layout at Bagel Corner in La Valentine, very trendy! Ordering at the kiosk is now available, there's a counter for donuts, muffins, and drinks, and a yellow cube serving as the kitchen. Too bad! You can no longer see the bagels being made. The wait to be served was long even though it wasn't very busy… it's reopening time! Major drawback: the area isn't non-smoking because the employees smoke in front of the open door, and the smoke fills the restaurant. 🤢

We were a group of cyclists staying and eating... the hotel staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful and accommodating. Would absolutely return with a group or solo. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great evening!

The food was very good, the menu changed daily and was very varied, featuring homemade cuisine. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The setting is full of charm, typically warm and welcoming, perfect for sharing a good meal in a friendly atmosphere. The service is attentive, friendly, and very professional. The dishes are generous, tasty, and prepared with quality products—true local cuisine, just the way we like it!
