03/11/2026: Excellent food and pleasant service! I recommend it!

03/11/2026: Giving in to a craving for an aperitif, we decided to head to the brasserie to try what we thought would be a good spritz. Served quickly, we realized with the first sip that it was more like a glass of water with syrup than a spritz. The knowledgeable waiter offered us another spritz, specifying that this time he would personally take care of it. The second spritz served was a bit stronger in Aperol but completely flat... in the end, the waiter concluded: "That's really bad luck!" Which we agreed with, considering the €9.50 for the unfinished spritz... So, since it wasn't our luck, don't try yours...

06/10/2026: Excellent service, and where my French isn't up to par, the waiter helps with his English! Definitely not a given in France. Delicious food and a menu just the way I like it, reasonably priced with top-notch flavor. Perfect. I'm not a fan of anything too fancy, but I prefer a convivial place away from the touristy, and that was Bistrot de la Place for me. Thank you 🫶🏻

28/09/2026: A very warm welcome. A varied and delicious menu; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Very reasonable value for money. A very pleasant waiter. The owner was truly very friendly. We had a lovely evening. A bistro we highly recommend. We will gladly return if we have the opportunity to come back to Versailles.

29/09/2025: We came for lunch on Saturday and had a very, very good meal. The food was very good and very well prepared. We each had a Caesar salad, a blueberry tart, a real delight, and two scoops of ice cream. The welcome was excellent, and even better for the welcome from your wonderful dog (I don't know her name ;). Thanks to you, we had a very pleasant time in your restaurant. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

03/10/2026: We had a wonderful time at L’Horloge in Semondans! As always, the owner and Tiffany were pleasant and attentive. The dishes were homemade, excellent, and generous. We highly recommend it for couples or groups.

24/08/2026: It's a Chinese couple, Christian and Aline, who run a tobacco shop. They're great; they only serve daily specials, and it's always good. I highly recommend it.

22/07/2026: I stopped to get a smoothie. They almost charged me €1 more at first, then the cash machine didn't give me the correct amount, and the cashiers didn't say a word except "I don't know." All that just to get a completely bland drink. Disappointed.

07/07/2026: The crepes have become so small compared to before, it's a shame. They used to be generous, but now they're tiny.

04/09/2026: A very fine daily menu, with unbeatable value for money, very pleasant service in a friendly setting.

16/08/2026: We ultimately didn't try the restaurant, given the initial reception we received for a simple lunchtime aperitif, which we found particularly unpleasant, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes between our arrival, ordering, and finally receiving our drinks at the table. This wait was completely disproportionate for such a simple order. Above all, we felt like we were being treated like tourists to be casually dismissed. It seems the establishment benefits from a regular clientele, particularly generous with their reviews, but whose comments strike us as far removed from our experience and the level of professionalism expected from a restaurateur. The experience was disappointing enough from the very start to discourage us from continuing and trying the food. Treating tourists like idiots is part of their DNA: this bar and restaurant should be avoided when visiting Prayssac, a charming little village.

27/08/2026: Lovely setting on the banks of the Clain. We were greeted and seen off by an unpleasant manager; luckily, the young waitress was very friendly. The salad was poorly washed and lacked dressing. Despite a good previous experience, this time we should have stayed home!

22/08/2026: Very good. Very happy with this dinner, both in terms of quality and quantity.

09/10/2026: We had reserved a table for three, arrived relatively early, and the restaurant was practically empty. Well, we got the worst table in the whole place, right next to the kitchen door, tucked away in a corner. The staff waiting for the food were right in front of our table (less than a meter away)—so much for privacy! We started with three glasses of champagne, one of which was smaller than the other two. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she just said, "Oh, well, that's how it is." We really had to insist to get another glass the same size as the other two. While we were taking our time drinking our aperitif (which didn't even include a bowl of peanuts), the waitress came back three times to take our order. The scallops were swimming in sauce and hidden under cauliflower. The fried carp was reheated, rubbery, and tasteless. And with the mussels, they offer fries, but they don't tell you that the bowl costs €7 (very expensive for frozen fries). In short, an experience definitely not to be repeated.

07/10/2026: A mixed review. While the food and service are impeccable, it's regrettable that the atmosphere—on Friday lunchtimes—is made unbearable by the presence of a group of regulars who, not content with making sexist, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, etc., remarks, unfortunately do so loudly, matching their vulgarity. Our full support goes out to the waitresses.

25/09/2026: Ah, the Cabestan of yesteryear!...welcoming, well-maintained, with a generous restaurant and galley offering impeccable service...perfect for returning from the beach...It will return one day...in the hands of professionals...

We were both pleasantly surprised by the place, the welcome, and the service we received. • The welcome was pleasant, no complaints there. • Room 6 was perfectly adequate, clean, and charmingly old-fashioned. • The meal was wonderful (we thoroughly enjoyed it; thank you to the chef!). The breakfast was also very good, with fresh, local products, which is exactly what you look for in this kind of place. • The spa was excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed the two hours we had during our stay.
