22/02/2026: A very good experience! We were a little worried about tourist traps that don't really showcase local produce, but this restaurant didn't disappoint! The menu was reasonably priced, with generous portions that weren't excessive, the presentation was impeccable, and the setting was simple yet perfectly in keeping with the Saint-Malo spirit. The two waitresses were very friendly and managed their service well. I highly recommend this place!

17/11/2025: Medieval cuisine is certainly different from what we're used to eating today. Some dishes might, at first glance, seem a little bland, or at least not the kind of thing that would immediately make our mouths water, because our 21st-century palates are accustomed to tastes that are too sweet, too fatty, or too salty (clearly not the best for our health!). However, the kitchen team rose to this challenge brilliantly: each dish was perfectly seasoned, fragrant, and truly delicious. This made the culinary experience even more successful. The experience is further enhanced by the entertainment offered throughout the meal, as well as by the choice of costumes at the beginning, which immediately immerses us in the medieval atmosphere. We also greatly appreciated the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, with only one seating at lunchtime: no constant coming and going, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! Until next time!

24/12/2025: A fantastic lunch spot in Aix! The ingredients are fresh, top quality, and everything is clearly homemade. You can tell from the sandwiches to the daily specials. The desserts are delicious too! The value for money is excellent, especially for Aix-en-Provence. Simple atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. A place where you'll eat well and return without hesitation!

"Le Comptoir de Cayac" lives up to its reputation, a truly lovely promise. With a refined sense of hospitality, devoid of any hint of familiarity, this team demonstrates a touching professionalism. The work in the kitchen is masterfully orchestrated. The 64° egg, incidentally, is presented without the famous title of "perfect" (further proof of rare humility), but it certainly is, like all the other suggestions on the menu. The pace in the dining room is just as pleasantly controlled. A conscientious young man discreetly steers the ship, elegantly highlighting the magic happening in the kitchen... Thank you, sir; teamwork is the key ingredient. It's worth noting that the "pet-friendly" trend is unparalleled here. Your four-legged friend will receive the royal treatment. A gleaming bowl placed in the courtyard, just as naturally presented at your table. A truly humane establishment.

The menu offers a wide selection, and you can eat (soft drink, starter, main course, dessert, and coffee) for under €25 per person (and much less if you have a smaller appetite... But we arrived hungry and left completely full and happy! A very good lunch spot!
