12/07/2026: Last-minute stay, one phone call and it was all sorted. Booking made with complete confidence over the phone. Modern, quiet, comfortable, and very clean room. Excellent meals, enjoyed on-site, with attentive service. We will definitely return; the conversation with Alexandre and his warm welcome made all the difference (that's my Norman side showing 😉).

29/06/2026: We spent one night at this hotel during our motorcycle road trip on the RGA. The location is pleasant and the rooms are adequate, but the restaurant was very disappointing. The salad advertised with homemade smoked duck breast and homemade foie gras arrived without duck breast (it was replaced with smoked ham) or foie gras, consisting mainly of salad and a few pieces of Beaufort cheese. The ham tasted questionable. The dessert selection was very limited and unappealing; we ultimately decided to go elsewhere for a decent dessert. The next day, my wife was ill (vomiting, stomach pains), which forced us to stop at a pharmacy, strongly suggesting a problem related to the meal. Not ideal for a motorcycle trip. We do not recommend the restaurant at this establishment.

01/08/2026: A well-known chain, so you know what to expect. However, this one is quite slow. Between the wait at the register and the preparation time, allow...20 minutes. Not ideal when you only have an hour.

21/07/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Very bad experience at La Tortola in Saint-Laurent-du-Var. Upon arrival, no one greeted us or showed us to our table. We had to find our own seats at a table that wasn't even set: no cutlery, no napkins, no glasses. We ordered drinks, but after a 20-minute wait, they still hadn't arrived. However, the tapas platter was served before the drinks. I had to ask for the drinks to finally receive them. Once we had finished the platter and drinks, we ordered more. Same scenario: another 20-minute wait. The new drinks arrived, but the table wasn't even cleared. The empty glasses and dirty platter were left in front of us. We had clearly stated from the beginning that we would order a main course after the platter. No one brought us the menu; we had to ask for it. At the same time, we ordered two more drinks... which never arrived. After waiting even longer, we decided to leave. I asked to see the manager to calmly explain the situation. To my surprise, she tried to charge us for the two drinks we never received. When I pointed this out, the drinks conveniently arrived at that very moment. Her reaction was to say, "Give them to the table across the hall; they're very nice." Then she added, "If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place to eat." We weren't in a hurry. We were simply expecting normal service and a minimum of consideration. Such disorganization and such an unprofessional response from the manager are unacceptable. I unfortunately cannot recommend this establishment. And if I could give zero stars, that's what I would.

20/07/2026: A fantastic experience at Tortola! Since the new owner took over, everything has changed: a new decor with a great atmosphere, a very successful new menu, and a super friendly new team. Everything is really great, it's a pleasure.

04/08/2026: Extremely disappointing. Shameful value for money. The waiter didn't follow proper etiquette; the cutlery was poorly washed; the salad was simply processed and expensive for what it was; the tuna was either overcooked or undercooked; the fries were like a Kinder Surprise egg—either slightly overcooked or not cooked at all; the wine was tasteless. The toilet door was open and the seats were sticky. In short, too many things were wrong. Normally, zero stars... but that's not possible.

27/07/2026: The restaurant is no longer what it used to be, which is a shame 😥 The food has deteriorated significantly, and the atmosphere is dull. I hope the restaurant improves.

15/06/2026: Too expensive for what it is; we ordered a bottle and the drink arrived in a small glass, and there was no carbonation in the drink.

25/05/2026: What a shame! It's disappointing to still find this level of quality in a tourist area. The mussels marinière are cooked with garlic, without onion or celery. The €2 coffee comes from a Senseo machine... In short, I was very disappointed with this experience. The staff's friendliness can't make up for everything!

24/05/2026: I'm not a picky eater, but everything is frozen. I ordered a rare hamburger, and it was well-done. The fries were frozen too. There were very few people there, yet I waited 40 minutes. The smell was overwhelming. Some customers wanted to come in, but they left immediately, holding their noses. There were peas on the toilet seats. In short, I don't recommend it.

19/04/2026: Refused card payment when the bill arrived, nothing mentioned on the terrace, appalling attitude ("it's your problem, find a solution"), strong tendency to belittle the customer as an average Parisian (which they are not), avoid at all costs

28/12/2025: Avoid this place. No credit cards accepted, no receipt, and they made a mistake with the change, which was against me. This establishment's practices are highly questionable. Keep walking; there are much nicer shops nearby!

30/12/2025: My first experience and I was very disappointed by the Christmas logs (the Provençal and the Hope). The shop's atmosphere is also poorly designed.

02/06/2026: An absolutely outrageous experience. I had a package delivered to this store, and it was marked as accepted, but it was nowhere to be found when I went to pick it up. As a result, I had to make countless calls, go through numerous procedures, and waste a considerable amount of time trying to locate my package. The most unacceptable aspect is that a package should never be registered as received if it isn't properly handled and identifiable. This negligence puts customers in an extremely complicated and stressful situation. If you don't have the capacity or the necessary organization to manage a parcel collection point service, then don't offer this service. Stick to your core business instead of wasting your customers' time. A business that accepts packages has a responsibility to handle them properly. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using this parcel collection point.

30/05/2026: Arriving at 1:45 pm, the manager told me they were no longer serving, despite the opening hours being until 2:30 pm.

13/05/2026: Good value for money for lunch. The order was taken quickly, the food arrived quickly, the dishes were good, and for dessert I had a strawberry tiramisu… it was good, but I've had better.

22/07/2026: The welcome was good, but the bread wasn't good, the pastries were average, and the portions were small and very expensive. Excessive pastry prices seem to be common in the Vendée region.
