07/12/2024: Un repas impromptu, pas de problème avec le fait que nous n'avions pas réservé, même s'ils étaient très occupés. Très sympathique et accueillant, excellent service à la clientèle. La nourriture (Burger Ultime) était délicieuse. J'ai demandé un verre de vin rouge et on m'a offert un choix de 3, le Pinot Noir était fabuleux. J'aime toujours terminer mon repas par un café - ils font un décaféiné délicieux !

03/11/2024: Très bon accueil et excellent repas. De plus, magnifique vue sur la rivière "la Colmont" et ses rives boisées depuis la salle.

20/01/2025: Very good time at the Garden Ice café. This establishment enjoys an exceptional location on Place Ducale. We have been coming there for over 5 years, each time we visit Charleville Mézières. It's cozy, well decorated and we are well received. We finally tasted the cuisine. Our server MAXIME was impeccable: polite, smiling and good advice. We ate very well. We will come back, that's for sure!

07/07/2025: An inn like they don't make anymore. The style is rustic, but the food is superb. The menu is varied, fresh, and frequently updated. The food is homemade, and that makes all the difference. The service is a bit slow, but you have to wait for good things.

15/12/2024: Authentic restaurant. I took an essential tartable cut with a knife by Carole. An exemplary Chef, who has character but it is necessary! Remember to book and arrive on time. From starter to dessert, it was perfect. An authentic atmosphere like that is rare.

08/07/2025: Very nice discovery of this restaurant, friendly welcome. Many rooms including a terrace overlooking olive trees to discover in summer. Excellent meal, succulent and tender ribeye steak. Dessert that reminded me of my childhood with this French toast. A nice menu awaits you with many choices. Small downside, 2 choices of rosé wine see with the cellar of Coudoux (St Hilaire) which is a stone's throw from your place that I know 😉. To be seen again. Back, this Sunday, July 6, 2025. Always many choices, ordered octopus plate, what a shame to drown this octopus with this tomato marinade from which the taste is no longer there. Then we ordered Ribeye steak requested rare returned overcooked, what a shame. Then given the number of customers, why not separate them a little, it would avoid hearing the dirty conversations of the neighbors. So, we shortened our meal, no dessert, no coffee. Our joy of having a good time is gone 🤨

30/11/2025: Not really worth the Michelin star or the price. The food was ok, nothing special though. I would have been perfectly happy to receive it had it not been the star. Also, 10 minutes with an empty wine glass is a lot when buying the full bottle.

29/11/2025: I tried Loiseau des Ducs a while ago (I forgot to leave a review), and it's a Michelin-starred restaurant that perfectly lives up to the high standards of fine dining as defined by the Michelin Guide. The restaurant is nestled in the Hôtel de Talmay, a 16th-century building listed as a historical monument. For me, it wasn't just a meal but a true sensory experience. The service is impeccable, the pace is perfect, the flavors are refined, and the ingredients are of exceptional quality. I think it's one of the best first restaurants to discover in Burgundy. The prices are naturally high, but the experience is well worth it.

26/10/2024: disclaimer : j’ai été 3 fois avant dans ce resto de Pont-de-Barret (en juillet 2024, en 2022 et aussi en 2019) et donc je pense avoir une appréciation juste de cette auberge dans le temps et j’ai pu constater sur plusieures occasions leur cuisine et le service. C’est toujours très bon, belle variété de plats, prix très raisonnables (excellent rapport qualité / prix), le resto est souvent voire toujours bien rempli (voire complet et d’ailleurs parfois le service peut semble long). Bref, que du positif vraiment. En ce mois d’Octobre, a l’heure du déjeuner la terrasse extérieure était fermée et le resto n’avait ouvert que la grande salle indoor (bien remplie). Pour info, le resto fait sa fermeture annuelle de mi-novembre a fin fevrier donc profitez-en pour y aller car il serait fermé plus de 3 mois et demi (il rouvrira en Mars 2025). Yann le patron est a l’ecoute des clients, notre serveuse Elsa super serviable et souriante, et c’est le père de Yann qui avait fait les desserts (tous excellents). On reviendra c’est sûr !

06/07/2025: We were looking for a reasonably priced brasserie for a decent dinner. This place is perfect. A very friendly server, a tempting menu, and a great daily special that evening. My duck breast skewer was great, and so were the beef skewers! In short, I highly recommend it.

05/07/2025: Bad service. Pasta arrived cold. A little disappointed for a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
