21/08/2026: Our lunch at L'Ambroisie, for my daughter and me, felt like a moment outside of time. Calm. Gentle. Thanks to the attentive, smiling staff, full of thoughtful touches. Chef Taormina's cuisine is bursting with flavor. He even managed to get my daughter to eat duck—an admirable feat! For my part, I was particularly taken with the crab and the apricot trompe-l'œil. As a wine enthusiast, I was delighted by Ms. Taormina's choice of wines to accompany our meal. See you very soon, L'Ambroisie!

12/08/2026: A very warm welcome. The waitress was lovely. She took our requests with kindness. We even got a sparkler on the cake for my aunt's birthday (even though I misspoke and it wasn't her birthday ☺️). The dishes were all delicious and beautifully presented. A small skewer to accompany the aperitif, a little cookie with the coffee... All these little touches were much appreciated. The setting is very pleasant: the terrace is nicely shaded, and despite the heat outside, we were very comfortable and cool. We understand why the rating is so high, and it's so well deserved. Our hostess is always on the go and must be quite tired in the evenings.

01/10/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant for several years, but unfortunately, for us, the experience ends here. The service isn't bad per se, but we remember a time when it truly lived up to the establishment's standards. Just a few years ago, we came regularly, sometimes even once a week for lunch, especially to the magnificent olive press room. We particularly remember a young woman who was always smiling, very well-groomed, with her hair pulled back, who knew the menu perfectly and really knew how to make us want to try the dishes. The service was natural, warm, and impeccable. Today, we unfortunately feel the complete opposite. The servers give the impression of reciting a memorized script rather than genuinely welcoming customers. The head waiter lacks spontaneity, and the owners' welcome seems much less warm than before; there's a lot of tension in this establishment. On top of that, the prices have increased considerably, without us seeing a comparable improvement in the quality and experience offered. It's a shame, because we enjoyed this place for a long time and came here with pleasure for several years. But today, the price, quality, and service no longer meet our expectations. We therefore prefer to cherish the memory of what this restaurant was like a few years ago.

08/09/2026: A magnificent experience at Frédéric Simonin restaurant, with exquisitely precise cuisine and service worthy of this fine establishment. The evening began with a superb amuse-bouche featuring foie gras, accompanied by a port wine reduction and a parmesan emulsion. A particularly successful marriage of flavors, at once indulgent, refined, and perfectly balanced. I then had the pleasure of tasting the quail stuffed with foie gras, which was absolutely remarkable: perfectly cooked, exquisitely delicate, and a wonderful combination of flavors. The turbot was also exceptional, cooked to perfection and perfectly complemented by the accompanying accompaniments. Special mention must also go to the peach dessert, so fresh and elegant, which provided the perfect ending to the meal. A huge congratulations to the entire team, both in the kitchen and the dining room, for their hard work and attention to detail throughout the evening. And a very special thank you to Agathe, Romain, and Alexandre in the dining room for their warm welcome, professionalism, availability, and kindness. Their service was precise, friendly, and pleasant, contributing greatly to making the experience memorable. Congratulations to the entire kitchen staff and the whole restaurant team. 08/09/2026: One of the true highlights of our time in Paris. The cuisine at Frédéric Simonin was exceptional: beautifully executed, thoughtful, refined, and memorable. What elevated the evening even further was the extraordinary warmth of the service. We were dining with our young son, Claude, who is learning French, and the team could not have been more gracious with him. They encouraged him to speak French, made him feel completely included in the experience, and even took the time to show him around the kitchen and introduce him to the chef. He was absolutely thrilled. They also brought out the autograph book, which made the evening feel even more special and gave him a memory he will carry for a very long time. That combination of serious culinary excellence and genuine hospitality is rare. Nothing felt forced or theatrical. The entire team simply seemed to take real pleasure in making the evening special for us. For me, the service was among the finest we experienced in France, and the meal itself easily stood among the best of our trip. Frédéric Simonin is exactly the kind of restaurant that reminds you why a great dining experience is about so much more than the food. We left incredibly happy, grateful, and already hoping to return on our next trip to Paris. An absolutely wonderful restaurant and a very special evening for our family. We will 1000% be back next trip.

19/09/2026: We had a wonderful time. The service was efficient and friendly, and the food was excellent, with a special mention for the high-quality meats, cooked to perfection. I only gave it 4/5 for the atmosphere because the downstairs dining room became increasingly noisy as the evening went on. This was due to some inconsiderate customers... but the owner can't be held responsible for that!

11/09/2026: An unpretentious restaurant with good food. The decor is simple; the focus is on the food, and that's just fine. A few items for sale, like a small grocery store, and a bar. There was a slight hiccup with our order, which hadn't been processed by the kitchen, but we were apologized. Public parking is available nearby.

13/09/2026: Admittedly a little further from Saint Guirec beach, but only a 2-minute walk, don't hesitate. Excellent food, pleasant service—this place is a very pleasant surprise. A superb John Dory, and a delicious dessert, a verbena parfait. It truly lived up to its name. Thank you for this delightful evening. You deserve to be better known.

13/09/2026: While on vacation in Ploumanac'h, we went to this restaurant for dinner as a group of four. The food was perfect, the dishes generous, flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, what spoiled the experience was the unpleasant waiter, who seemed to be the owner's partner, and who didn't seem to understand that customers might have specific cooking requests. For him, it was inconceivable to ask for the fish served that evening to be "well-done" and not "pink on the bone." He even suggested ordering meat if the fish wasn't cooked to our liking and refused to ask the chef about it... Unacceptable! Yet, the chef, who came to greet us at the end of the meal, seemed perfectly open and friendly. We would have given it 5/5 if this "pseudo" professional had been less obtuse and aggressive. It's worth noting that the waitress was very smiley, pleasant, and helpful. It's a real shame because the chef's cuisine is definitely worth trying.

11/09/2026: Superb restaurant! We were glad we went a little further from the city center, but the decor is superb, the cuisine is very refined and sophisticated, and the service is incredibly welcoming. The €33 set menu (starter, main course, dessert) is well worth the price.

The service was impeccable - Joseph gave us great suggestions for what to choose for dinner. The food was beautifully served, and so delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is also quite charming with an interesting selection of photographs. We had a perfect evening in Jardin Mazarin.
