29/07/2026: I had a lovely lunch today with my daughter at Au Chien Qui Fume. My server, Gaspard, recommended the very fatty and yummy oysters to me that I never had it before! I had escargot, duck, prawn and dessert . Definitely all the food is tasty and will come back again for sure !

10/08/2026: After eight days in Corsica, I finally found a restaurant where the quality/price ratio is more than fair! A three-course Corsican menu for €19.50!! Friendly staff, generous portions, and a beautiful location. I highly recommend it if you're passing through Corte. It may seem a bit touristy, but trust me, the food is good. P.S.: For tripe lovers... definitely worth a try!

19/07/2026: I came with a friend for his birthday. I had a wonderful time in a setting that was both calm and beautiful, from the decor to the tableware. Everything is designed to make you feel comfortable. The service is impeccable, the staff is lovely, smiling, and passionate. Everyone takes the time to chat and answer questions. Thank you to the chef for personally coming to each table to explain the restaurant's approach and take our orders. The food is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire introductory menu (completely vegetarian). Vegetables are the centerpiece of every bite, and we rediscovered their taste and appearance at the root, without them being any less skillfully prepared. All this with flavor combinations that are as delicious as they are sometimes surprising. I was transported back to my childhood, in my grandfather's cottage, eating raw fruits and vegetables. It's fresh, flavorful, clever, indulgent, and always presented with delicacy and harmony. The bread and focaccia are absolutely divine. What more can I say except thank you. Thank you for bringing vegetables to such heights. And thank you for making this experience so accessible and inclusive. Keep up the good work, I will definitely be back.

28/07/2026: The usual menu with consistently high-quality offerings. However, the overall experience was somewhat lacking, with smaller portions and less sophisticated vegetables, which used to be a strong point (no braised vegetables).

10/05/2026: We had a great lunch here after a morning of moving house. They were friendly and welcoming even though it was nearly 2pm when we arrived it was not a problem for us to eat lunch. The burgers were excellent as was my plat du jour. Also the chips were delicious!! Service was very friendly and the proprietor is delightful. We will be going back!

19/04/2026: Back to "Le Mot Passant" and it was another wonderful experience. A warm and attentive welcome immediately puts you at ease. The atmosphere truly gives the impression of "leaving home," of escaping for the duration of a meal, which is particularly enjoyable in its unpretentious setting. As for the food, we opted for a Savoyard hamburger and an andouillette sausage: two generous, flavorful, and well-prepared dishes that reflect genuine expertise. In short, an address we wholeheartedly recommend for a pleasant time over a delicious meal.

The flavors are exquisitely precise, harmonizing with the perfect notes of music. Special mention goes to the chef, who manages the kitchen and service with a soothing calm and confidence. A rare find, where mastery and serenity are reflected in every dish. A symphony of taste and masterpieces crafted with the finest ingredients.

09/08/2026: We made a last-minute reservation for 20 people. Everything was perfectly organized, the food was delicious and arrived quickly. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. There was live music in the evening, and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended; we felt right at home! 😍

24/05/2026: An authentic Corsican establishment. A fantastic welcome. An amazing restaurant. A very local sheepfold with a lovely little private pool (thank you for setting the heat pump to 30 degrees for us 😉). We'll be back.

20/05/2026: This is a review about the restaurant. Avoid. If you don't like the food, don't say a word, pay and leave right away! The owner started insulting me during checkout for saying the food was bland. He did ask how I liked it, but he probably knew already because I had told the waitress earlier, who was nice about it. He called me cheap for not ordering water (I ordered a beer), postured inches in front of me like he was going to punch me in the face, and waited for me in the parking lot for more insults. Anyway, food is not very flavorful and slightly lower prices than Sartene (which has bigger portions) if you're headed in that direction. Haute-ville in Bonifacio is very good, lots of homemade dishes but more expensive. This restaurant charges 3 euros for filtered water (restaurants must provide water for free by law if you order food, which every restaurant we went to does). Insults and intimidations are free. Totally unhinged. Don't stop there.

The dishes are local and simply well-prepared. The service is patient, friendly, and respectful. A lovely shaded terrace, perfect for summer.

Finally, a true Landes salad with duck legs, gizzards, duck breast, and foie gras at a very reasonable price. Thank you again for this marvelous moment!
