09/12/2025: The name "Brasserie" could easily be replaced by "restaurant" because this is a place where you'll enjoy a truly delightful meal from start to finish. Through a window, you can watch the chef busy himself with sauces, fish, and other preparations, and then comes the tasting... a delight... flavors that explode in your mouth... I recommend it 100%... make a little detour, it's worth it...

21/02/2026: I booked a table for two for a friend's birthday. The restaurant manager kindly agreed to print a menu without prices at my request and also to provide a candle for dessert. The service staff was very friendly, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and most importantly, the food was delicious.

16/02/2026: We dined at La Maison de la Truffe in January and, overall, the experience was very pleasant: excellent cuisine, a lovely setting, and professional service throughout the meal. However, the end of the evening unfortunately marred this impression. Just as we had finished our coffee, paid the bill (which came to nearly €1,000), and were about to leave, we were asked to leave so that the table for four could be freed up for the next guests. This remark, unnecessary at that point since our departure was imminent, seemed inappropriate and out of step with the establishment's claimed standard and prestige, especially since other tables were still available. In a restaurant of this caliber, we would have appreciated being treated with more elegance and tact until the very last moment. This is regrettable, as it leaves a final negative impression that does not reflect the quality of the rest of the experience.

27/02/2026: Hiking from Bidart to St Jean-de-Luz, I was so happy to find this bar open on February 26th, under summer-like weather! A very warm welcome, a fantastic location with a breathtaking sea view, and excellent food (special mention for the red berry panna cotta). I promised to leave a (good) review... and here it is!

22/02/2026: A disappointing experience from start to finish. There were two of us, and we arrived at 1:10 PM. We were told there would be a 20-minute wait; after 40 minutes, I had to remind them we were still there. We were finally seated. Another 25 minutes passed before anyone took our order. The appetizer arrived quickly, but then… more than 40 minutes of waiting without ever seeing the main course. We decided to leave and made our dissatisfaction known while paying for our appetizers and drinks. No apology, no consideration whatsoever, and to top it all off, a member of staff called me an “idiot.” I understand they were busy… but still! Lack of organization, a complete absence of professionalism, and unacceptable behavior from some staff members. Truly disappointed!
