13/07/2026: As a cartoonist, I’m not wealthy enough to ignore restaurant prices. When I decide to spend a little more than usual, I expect the quality to justify the bill. I don’t mind paying premium prices—I do mind paying them for mediocre food. Les Mondes Bohèmes is one of those places where the dishes cost a bit more than comparable meals in many Parisian restaurants and brasseries, yet the quality of the ingredients leaves no room for regret. The terrace, which could have been unbearably hot during the summer canicule, was made surprisingly comfortable thanks to an automatic misting system. I’ve always believed that you can judge a restaurant by its salads. A well-composed salad reveals the chef’s attention to detail, both in the choice of ingredients and the dressing. I had the Italian salad, which was fresh, beautifully presented, and very enjoyable. My only reservation was the rather generous amount of cantaloupe—delicious, perhaps, but a bit too much for my stomach. Overall, though, it was an excellent dish. My only real complaint concerns the Sunday menu: it completely overlooks chicken lovers! Please remember that we exist. Not everyone wants red meat or fish. A single chicken option—especially on Sundays—would make the menu much more welcoming.

01/05/2026: Extremely well-run. Not just delicious homemade galettes, but also a menu of fresh dishes prepared by the chef. Enjoyable cuisine. The galette was very generously filled and beautifully presented. Spotless and, above all, the owner was incredibly kind. They've just taken over the establishment and it's excellent.

01/05/2026: A very warm welcome. The couple were lovely and extremely kind. The restaurant is very well run. Simple, good-quality cuisine made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Good value for money. I recommend it for a stopover.

20/06/2026: Visiting my father, even if it's just for two days, is a chance for me to reconnect with a must-try: Jacob Bakery. It's become a tradition. I can't imagine waking up without my pain au chocolat or pain aux raisins from Jacob. As for the bread, I can't find better anywhere. My go-to loaves are the Orthezienne and the Graine, two breads I always enjoy because their quality and flavor are exceptional. Even on vacation, I get up at 7:30 a.m. to make sure I have the chance to leave with a loaf fresh from the oven, still warm, fresh, and perfectly crusty. And what a pleasure it is to sometimes have to wait a few moments before being served! It gives us time to admire all the delicious treats in the window and to drool over your magnificent pastries. I've been a loyal customer since you opened, and I sincerely hope you'll be here for many years to come. The entire team does a remarkable job, which is reflected in the quality of your products, but also in the pleasure of visiting your establishment. My vacation certainly wouldn't be quite the same without this breakfast that I eagerly anticipate. Thank you to the whole team for your expertise, passion, and dedication.

02/08/2026: Yes, the setting, the service, the wine list—everything is top-notch, but that's to be expected, given the establishment's stature. However, the eggs mayonnaise (world champions 2022) were disappointing, the chicken was good but nothing extraordinary. And above all, we felt very nauseous all night… In short, don't change a thing, but perhaps aim higher with your dishes, like the top-floor restaurant across the street, for example.

02/08/2026: Excellent! Last Paris evening on a walk and happened to see their terrace right on the Seine at the intersection of the Tournelles bridge and quai. The recipes are from the affiliated Michelin starred Tour D’Argent, a great wine list and the duck terrine and duck tagliatelle were wonderful and the ile flottante dessert the best I have had. Views are great. Best to reserve. Great posters of old Paris in the bathroom.

03/08/2026: We stumbled onto La Mère Cottivet at an awkward hour, when most places were closing up and we just wanted a light lunch. We were welcomed with open arms. The service was genuinely wonderful; they invited us to taste a few wines before we even chose what to order, which set the tone for the whole meal. I had the La Merière aux fromages, a cheese plate that was fantastic, and my husband loved his steak tartare. We couldn't resist finishing with both a crème brûlée and ice cream with liqueur, no regrets. The space itself is quiet and eclectically decorated, with a wonderfully witty name to match its personality. My husband speaks French but I don't, and I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place, just genuinely welcomed. We'll absolutely be back, and I'd recommend this spot to anyone visiting Lyon.

28/06/2026: Just came to the restaurant for lunch. The starter, main course, and dessert of the day were very good. I enjoyed the quiet little terrace at the back of the restaurant. The service was very quick. I thank the waitresses for their kindness. Ramps for wheelchairs are available to access the terrace. If I return to the area, I will gladly return to this restaurant.

21/06/2026: As a group of Motorcyclists we stayed here for a week in June 2026. It was a perfect venue for us for touring the local area. The staff were amazing and evening meals were all superb. We were allocated two garages to lock the bikes safely away at night. The wi-fi is free and there is a great terrace and a good bar frequented by locals. We had fabulous time and will be back and would certainly recommend this hotel.

26/07/2026: A very pleasant surprise, this inn nestled in a verdant setting. A traditional pub with regional dishes, wood-fired grills, and delicious beer. The desserts are incredible, a real treat; I highly recommend it.
