10/04/2026: We had dinner last night at Le Coq en Poulpe restaurant and it was an excellent experience! We chose the €36 Le Coq menu and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The snails were delicious, perfectly prepared, and the beef chuck with its shallot sauce was simply incredible: melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. Special mention also goes to the warm Saint-Marcellin cheese, which was absolutely perfect. A very pleasant evening in a friendly atmosphere, with generous and expertly prepared dishes. We highly recommend it!

From the moment you arrive, you feel at ease: a great atmosphere, a top-notch welcome, and a really positive energy in the restaurant. Laurie and her entire team are lovely. Attentive, smiling… it's so refreshing to see people who genuinely love what they do and enjoy hosting. And the food… frankly incredible. We savored every bite. Generous portions, bursting with flavor, beautifully prepared, and made with high-quality ingredients. Kudos to the chef for this superb work. Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful evening. Clearly, this is a place we wholeheartedly recommend, and where we will gladly return.

05/05/2026: I felt the need to review this because the food was so bad. I feel that the good reviews must be fake. I got the veggie burger and my husband got the regular burger. My veggie burger was two hash brown patties 😟 and my husband ordered a medium-rare burger that came well-done. The saving grace was the wine was decent for only 3.50 a glass and the fries were pretty good with the dipping sauce. Also, the service was good and the atmosphere was nice (the town is just so picturesque). This just ended up feeling like a tourist trap, but we were starving so we ate the food anyway. This was our first night, so really hoping the rest of the food isn’t so bad in town.

19/05/2026: I recently came to this restaurant and honestly, I have no regrets. I'd been walking past it for a while while exercising, but I never thought of it when booking a restaurant, and what a regret that was! Because honestly, this restaurant is worth the trip. The service was great, the staff very pleasant and understanding, and the food was simply delicious. Now I can't wait to come back as soon as possible 😊

17/05/2026: It was my first time, but I was disappointed. For a €43 set menu: leeks vinaigrette, a bit basic; turkey with polenta, very little polenta; and the rum baba for dessert, half a baba! It was cooked properly, but this menu doesn't justify €43. The service was quick, perhaps too quick. It's a shame, because the place is very pretty, and the terrace must be lovely in the summer.

01/05/2026: A very pleasant surprise! A simple restaurant with a varied menu. Generous portions and very good food. Excellent andouillettes, for example. Very friendly service, especially on the terrace like today.

26/03/2026: Passing through the area, I stumbled upon this restaurant. The set menu was €15.90, including a starter, main course, and dessert. The daily special was €9.90. It was excellent, generous, and fresh: tender filet mignon with a creamy olive sauce and homemade fries like you rarely find. The decor is a bit vintage; you don't go there for the ambiance, but for the quality of the unpretentious, simply delicious meal, like a Sunday at Grandma's (if she knows how to cook ;-) ). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with regulars. Outdoor seating is available. In short, I highly recommend it.
