07/07/2026: We had a lovely time at Jardin Mazarin. The service was impeccable and the waiters were very attentive. The food was also excellent, at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in Aix-en-Provence!

20/06/2026: Reservation for two people for my partner's birthday. A very mixed experience. It started off rather oddly, with a mix-up between still and sparkling water. A minor detail, of course; if it hadn't happened, we wouldn't have even remembered it. Then, we were brought two (identical) cocktails that we hadn't ordered. For a few moments, we thought they were welcome cocktails to go with the appetizers, but the waiter left immediately without showing them to us, so we figured it was another order mistake... two in five minutes. Sure enough, a few minutes later, a waiter returned and apologized, saying they'd brought the wrong table, and took the drinks to another table... without even checking if we'd tasted them or not. Again, if we'd left it at that, it would have amused us but wouldn't have affected our dinner, despite the amateurishness we encountered during the first fifteen minutes. Then came the rest, which was less amusing. We ordered wine; my partner had a glass of sweet wine, no problem; as for me, I ordered a glass of red. When it arrived, I found it was already quite warm, clearly not 16-18°C, but well, let's just say I'm no expert, so let's move on. What was more concerning was that after tasting it, I noticed something floating in it... Delicately, I took my knife and managed to use the tip to extract... A maggot. Yes, a maggot in my wine, no doubt about it. Not wanting to cause a scene, I tactfully went to the bar with my glass and the maggot still on the end of my knife. The waitress apologized, of course, seemed genuinely sorry and embarrassed, and brought me a new glass (the wine was at the right temperature this time, by the way) and a new knife. It must be said that the rest of the meal went smoothly, thankfully, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant because of the maggot incident: firstly, when it came time to pay the bill, not a word about it, not an apology, nothing. Not the slightest gesture of goodwill. We're talking about a customer who found a maggot in his drink, after all... Perhaps I was too polite and too discreet? Perhaps if I had been less friendly I would have gotten something? Apparently, that's how it works now... Furthermore, after consulting with wine professionals I spoke to, it seems this isn't the kind of thing that happens "occasionally" or "by chance" (like a barrel that was contaminated from the start)... No, according to the professionals I spoke with, wine undergoes far too many steps during its production. Therefore, there's a very high probability that the presence of a maggot in the wine stems from a lack of hygiene on the part of the establishment: corks never cleaned between bottles, bottles not always properly sealed, combined with possible contamination of the storage area... In short, the exact reason for the presence of this maggot in my wine will never be determined, but it raises serious questions about the hygiene of this establishment; moreover, the complete lack of any gesture of goodwill is quite deplorable, anywhere, but especially in a restaurant that claims to be upscale. Not great for a birthday party.

26/05/2026: I discovered this place last weekend while working as a wedding photographer. It's a safe place for children, the team is welcoming and friendly, the pig was cooked to perfection, and the portions were generous. I highly recommend this venue for events!

04/08/2026: A lovely time spent at this restaurant. I particularly enjoyed: - the mackerel and beetroot starter, presented with a well-balanced wasabi sorbet to enhance the flavor. - the pork main course: a very tender and perfectly cooked pork tenderloin, wrapped in bacon, with a rich and flavorful jus, button mushroom duxelles, black pudding puff pastry, pig's trotter croquettes, and Guéméné andouille sausage. - the revisited chimichurri sauce with trout roe, which accompanied the fish and which I tasted. The sauces were left on the table, which was a very nice touch. - the pre-dessert of rhubarb brunoise, sorrel ice cream, and herb jus. - both desserts were excellent, both the apricot and almond dessert and the peach trompe-l'œil, both being indulgent and well-balanced. - In general, the work with herbs and acidity - The generous portions - The willingness to replace one of the desserts with cheese - The prominent role given to vegetables I liked less: - The pig's trotter cromesquis with blond lentils from La Planèze: not seasoned enough - The house non-alcoholic orange/black tea/vanilla cocktail: I didn't really taste the tea or vanilla... - The service was friendly but sometimes a bit inconsiderate: ingredients in the dishes weren't always listed, questions were forgotten, napkins weren't folded, etc. Finally, the music was pleasant but surprising for a Michelin-starred restaurant: "commercial" pop music: Sia, Pink, Lady Gaga, etc.

24/07/2026: This shop used to be wonderful, but lately, unfortunately, the atmosphere isn't what I look for in a wine shop. Most of the staff are haughty and give advice without listening, assuming you don't know much about wine. A bottle that had been sitting too long in their rack without being at the optimal temperature had a noticeable flaw when opened. This is the first time this has happened to me in a long time. One person who was annoyed by it called someone else, and I was told that everything was perfectly normal. Typical reaction from such a small shop. It's a shame because years ago, when it was family-owned, it was one of the finest wine shops in Paris. Today, there are far more passionate and friendly people in many other wine shops in the capital who talk about wine and share wonderful discoveries.

The service was impeccable: welcoming, friendly, and attentive from beginning to end. Special mention goes to the new terrace, which is truly magnificent and offers a very pleasant setting. 27/07/2026: Run away! The veal escalope was terrible. Thin and tough slice, barely cooked cream, canned mushrooms: extremely disappointing. The shared Flammekueche as a starter was also mediocre, and the small plate of crudités cost €11 and was poorly prepared. The art of taking tourists for fools... Run away! NB: The wines by the glass, however, are of very good quality.

01/07/2026: There is actually an English menu, but the staff doesn't know it; just ask them to flip the board over. Initially, you don't need a reservation, but it's best to make one if you have a large group. A carnivore's paradise, offering a variety of meat dishes at affordable prices and in generous portions.

29/06/2026: A restaurant for meat lovers like they used to make. Old-fashioned atmosphere, cuts of meat that are hard to find elsewhere, and a wide selection. Quick service and a very pleasant waiter. Purely for the pleasure of your stomach.

18/05/2026: ✨ A suspended moment at Le Poème de Grignan ✨ We had an absolutely wonderful evening, enveloped by the delicate flavors and freshness of the carefully prepared ingredients. Each dish told a delicious story, full of finesse and passion. The owner recommended an excellent bottle of wine, a perfect pairing that enhanced this fabulous culinary experience. As for the waitress… a true ray of sunshine and kindness, attentive with elegance and sincerity. A place where you don't just come for dinner, but to experience a warm, almost poetic moment. Pure bliss from beginning to end. ✨🍷🍽️

05/08/2026: Positive points: the decor of the dining room, the friendliness of the waiter wearing suspenders. Negative points: rushed service, no children's menu or dishes, clearing the children's plates before they had finished them, inappropriate remarks from a waiter ("I don't have four arms" when we politely asked for just water and bread), the rum brioche was soggy and unappetizing. Major negative point: we have serious doubts about the authenticity of the Aligot, especially since we were with people from the region. We are from the French Riviera, and this restaurant is just one of the tourist traps we find back home! I wouldn't recommend it, neither us nor anyone from the region!

14/07/2026: Positive points: - Welcoming staff - Quality cuisine - Pleasant setting Negative points: - Ordered a prawn salad and received two small chopped prawns plus one small whole one on top. For a €14 dish, that's a bit pricey. - Dishes are rather expensive, with a lot of vegetables and not enough meat (duck at €24 but with only a handful of small slices of duck). - Very slow service. I thought they were full, but in the end, few tables were occupied. We waited easily 20 minutes for our cheesecake, which, according to the waiter, was going to take a while because it wasn't "ordered in advance." It's a real shame that the dessert was already mass-produced with just a coulis added. In total, from starter to main course to dessert, the service took about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
