13/02/2026: The Val d'Auge is an exceptional address thanks to its inventive cuisine that knows how to enhance quality, seasonal ingredients. Signature dishes such as the egg cocotte with truffles and the sweetbreads with charlotte purée are excellent, and the chef updates the menu according to the seasons and his inspiration. The service is efficient and attentive, and knows how to adapt to customers' tastes, particularly when it comes to wine. The evolving menu allows for constant discovery of new dishes. We'll be back.

15/02/2026: A lovely little restaurant located in the old town of Épinal, near the basilica, a charming spot with beautiful interior decor that perfectly matches the theme. The meal was generous and delicious! All this with fast service (on a busy day, February 14th) and friendly service!

04/02/2026: Lunch for the first time as a family (2 adults, 1 child aged 6), on a Wednesday. The place has a warm, old-fashioned pub atmosphere. There is indeed a children's menu (announced by the waitress) but it doesn't appear on the menu. The welcome upon arrival and during the meal was adequate, but much less so towards the end, for dessert and coffee. Why? My daughter's crepe was served cold (not at all hot or even lukewarm) and my coffee took a very long time to arrive despite the place being practically empty since we were the last customers. This is a shame, as it's the somewhat mixed impression we were left with. Overall, the dishes were good and generous, which is the most important thing.

11/03/2026: A great spot in Rungis. There are two different styles to choose from: a simpler one for a quick and tasty lunch, and another, in the basement, that's more gourmet. As the name suggests, they mainly serve fish and shellfish.

26/02/2026: My experience at La Marée de Rungis was rather mixed. The decor is quite ordinary, although the servers are very well-dressed, which adds a touch of professionalism. The menu presentation, however, seems a bit old-fashioned, which doesn't quite fit the image one might expect from a modern restaurant in Rungis. However, what really disappointed me was the waiter's insistence and repetitiveness in asking us when we wanted to order our main course. This unfortunately spoiled the experience, as it felt like unnecessary pressure. There's potential, but a few adjustments would be necessary to improve the overall experience.

04/01/2026: We went on the Friday after New Year and I was a little worried it would be quiet but that was unfounded as it was almost full. I chose the menu Saison and had a poached egg with comte sauce and truffle served with a delightful mini Croque Monsieur laced with truffle. Perfectly done and superb taste. I followed this with Saint Jacques in a chorizo emulsion -absolutley delicious . For dessert a vanilla mouse with chocolate seated a fine biscuit. We had a bottle of Pouilly-Fumé and no coffee. Before and after the meal there were delicate amuse-bouche. We all felt that whilst the dishes were excellent they were a little small - the risotto with my Saint Jacques could have been a little more generous. That said we had an excellent meal , with friendly service in comfortable surroundings. 223€ for 3 was reasonable. I would eat here again.

04/01/2026: By far the best food we’ve had on our trip around Europe in the past 2 weeks. Arriving at the restaurant itself at night through the vineyards alone was already a uniquely fun experience. Their braised ham was cooked to absolute perfection(well worth the extra wait required), the black angus steak was also juicy and perfectly flavoured… If this was located in a touristy part of town they’d have 2 hour lineups for sure, but I sure am glad that this is a hidden gem.

22/12/2025: The best surprises are often the ones you stumble upon by chance. Discovered on my way back from the Colmar market, trying to escape the tourist traps and crowds. A lovely time spent enjoying traditional home-style cooking and professional, efficient service. Looking forward to returning next time.
