02/06/2026: Very quiet hotel, excellent service, gourmet restaurant!

01/06/2026: The atmosphere was straight out of an Agatha Christie film; we spent our entire stay wondering about the identity of the killer of Belle Isle-sur-Risle. We particularly enjoyed the pianist, the mirrors, and the very chic period decor. The hotel is filled with the scents of Normandy. The room was spacious, with a lovely bathroom and an exceptionally comfortable bed. We loved the outdoor pool and the spa. The hotel's surroundings are very pleasant, with a large garden and a particularly welcoming town with plenty of small shops. When will they film the mystery of Belle Isle-sur-Risle?!

23/07/2026: We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant quite by chance, as other nearby restaurants were closed, and guided by Google reviews. We decided to try it on Wednesday evening. What a delightful surprise! From starters and main courses to desserts, everything was exquisite and exceptional. The waitresses were very pleasant, kind, and attentive. We ate outside, but the interior was still beautifully presented. The cleanliness was remarkable, even down to the restrooms, despite the building being quite old. We opted for the €39 set menu. We made a point of thanking all the staff, including the chef, who apparently trained in a Michelin-starred restaurant. I highly recommend it. Furthermore, the proximity of the Canal du Midi and the Seuil de Naurouze makes for a pleasant stroll afterward. I also suggest visiting the nearby village of Montferrand, with its aeronautical semaphore station that guided Saint-Exupéry and his fellow airmail pilots. It's fantastic! Visiting it will make you understand... 😊

16/07/2026: We had a wonderful time together during our vacation. The cuisine was exquisite, the service impeccable, and the setting lovely (sunset and sunflower fields). This restaurant is well worth a visit and highly recommended!

18/06/2026: The manager and staff are remarkably kind. The service is quick and organized. The dishes are 100% homemade, and it shows immediately because the food is excellent. The Neapolitan-style pizzas are every bit as good as a professional pizza maker's; they're truly delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant; I found nothing but positive things to say. Congratulations again!

The staff is incredibly caring and offers a warm welcome that is one of the rare finds, with humility that puts all the guests at ease. A highly recommended address. 16/08/2026: My partner introduced me to this place in the heart of St Jean de Marsacq. A simple menu, a short chalkboard of suggestions, and a lovely wine list featuring local wines. Between the roasted Camembert with new potatoes and the pork prima, a delightful burst of freshness. For dessert, roasted apricots with a scoop of rosemary sorbet, and a chocolate fondant with a scoop of Bailey's ice cream... how can I even begin to describe how excellent lunch was? 👌👍 Truly. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. All accompanied by a glass of fruity Jurançon wine. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. 14/06/2026: My little discovery of the day! 😋 If you love frogs' legs, go for it! On Fridays at lunchtime, it's all-you-can-eat frogs' legs, and they're absolutely amazing 🤩. Honestly, they're excellent and perfectly cooked. And even outside of that, the food is always great. A place I highly recommend!

27/07/2026: Arriving a little late at 1:30 pm, a group of six on a Sunday without a reservation, we were welcomed with a selection of local charcuterie. Delicious! We had a very pleasant chat with the chef about Normandy Camembert, Neufchâtel, and Ossau-Iraty cheeses. The hospitality in the Basque Country is truly well-deserved. A real pleasure!

For lovers of traditional Niçoise cuisine with a local touch, this is a must-visit. Personally, I loved everything. The place is very peaceful, and the park under the olive trees is very relaxing. The entire staff was attentive. Absolutely nothing to complain about! Thank you for this wonderful experience.
