27/01/2025: Magnificent restaurant, close to Odéon, Luxembourg, La Sorbonne and the Pantheon. It has a very good boeuf bourguignon, but it also offers other French cuisine dishes, and some more international ones. The quality of the food is very good, with homemade flavors and impeccable service, the desserts were also good. The prices are correct for the area, which is quite expensive. It remains slightly apart from the more touristy places nearby, although it is true that the day I went there were many tourists eating. The place is also wonderful. I don't know if the objects and decoration are original or renovated but, in any case, the atmosphere is perfect.

05/01/2025: Visited twice on our trip to Paris - once with friends where we had excellent food & warm service, then twice when we liked it so much we went right back! Beef bourguignon was a favourite, as was the crème brûlée. Will be back next time we are in the city!

28/09/2024: We had an excellent time in this pretty restaurant by the sea, the setting is superb and a beautiful clear view awaits us. So many delights on the menu which offers a varied choice to delight everyone, in generous portions, nothing to complain about! And the cider was excellent. Special mention and huge thanks to the waitress who, despite the crowds, managed to offer quality service with a smile, thank you again and good luck!

27/09/2025: Very good crêperie, the dishes are delicious and the setting pleasant. It's a shame, however, that one crêpe arrived without the required egg. We reported the error, but the cooks didn't acknowledge the problem. A slight lack of attentiveness that contrasts with the quality of the rest of the experience.

15/01/2026: An excellent address. We had a wonderful time there. The setting is friendly, calm, yet understated and refined. We appreciated the warm welcome and the staff's advice. The wines offered perfectly complemented each of our dishes. The cuisine is authentic, refined, and remarkably well executed: a feast for the eyes and taste buds! High-end food at a very affordable price. The BEST.

01/11/2025: We had a wonderful evening at L'Essentiel. The meal was refined, expertly prepared, and delicious. Benoît, the sommelier, offered us some delightful discoveries. All this in a warm and intimate atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant.

18/11/2023: Buckwheat crepe too small, not filled enough and borderline hot. Given its size, it should cost €8 maximum and not €10.50. Plus the so-called shoulder is just supermarket ham. The boss should understand that we do not serve at the table when the customer is in the toilet, especially when he only has 2 customers.
