30/09/2026: A very nice restaurant in a prime location with a view of the cathedral and fair prices. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly; I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

25/09/2026: My wife is visibly heavily pregnant. Before ordering, we politely asked whether several dishes were fully cooked, an entirely reasonable question in her situation. The waiter was unable to answer and fetched the owner. He merely said twice that he didn't know, then walked away without a word and never returned. A restaurateur who cannot or will not explain how his own dishes are prepared, and who brushes off a concern like this, fails at the most basic duty of hospitality. We left without ordering. On our way out, the owner aggressively demanded €2 for the use of the restroom, which we paid without argument. He then called after us: "You are crazy people." Anyone who treats guests this way for asking a question about food safety during pregnancy should, in my view, not be running a restaurant. It also struck us afterwards that there were cats in both the dining area and the kitchen. From a hygiene standpoint, it was probably fortunate that we didn't eat there. The initial greeting was the only friendly moment. After that, competence, respect and basic courtesy were entirely absent. Strongly not recommended, particularly for expectant mothers.

20/09/2026: A lovely evening at the crêperie. A warm welcome; a simple crêperie, you feel right at home. The savory and sweet crêpes are excellent, and there's a good selection of fillings. We highly recommend it.

21/08/2026: This was the authentic French cuisine experience we were hoping for. Great atmosphere, amazing service and the food was better than expected. The traditional French Onion soup, escargot, and the steak frites, manifique!! The servers were so friendly and helpful and very attentive! You will not be disappointed here.

30/08/2026: We were a large table today, the service was good, and the staff were professional and pleasant. Happy to be able to eat our local specialties, we were disappointed by the quality of the dishes… The zucchini blossom fritters were extremely greasy, the saffron milk caps and peppers in oil were uninteresting, and the rest wasn't bad, but nothing exceptional… It's a shame because the set menu prices are attractive, and on paper it really sounded appealing.

30/08/2026: It's a shame, we ate with friends, about ten people, and the service was slow. The pissaladière appetizer was burnt (pastry and onion), and we had to ask for water several times before getting any. For dessert, we had to get up to tell the waiter our choices, and when they arrived, two were missing, which we had to ask for again.

08/08/2026: Discovered this restaurant at lunchtime today in a beautiful setting by the water. The view is lovely and allows you to savor an exceptionally well-prepared meal. The service is excellent. The menu offers a delightful selection of fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it!

Homemade, refined, flavorful, and generous cuisine in a unique and welcoming setting! One thing is for sure, we will be back and will introduce this little gem to the whole family. 05/09/2026: I tried Comptoir des Saveurs in Clermont-Ferrand and overall it's a very good place. The concept is all about surprise, since the dishes depend on the day's market offerings. The cuisine is truly refined, the ingredients are expertly prepared, and the restaurant is mindful of allergies and dietary restrictions, which is reassuring. The atmosphere is simple, a bit subdued, and the service was pleasant and professional. However, you sometimes get the impression of finding similar dishes from one visit to the next, even if they are reworked with different ingredients. In short, a reliable choice for quality and dietary needs, but one that might benefit from offering a bit more culinary variety over the seasons or from year to year.

11/05/2026: Dinner for two on a Saturday night (reservation). Our experience reflects the current rating of this restaurant: excellent. We ordered four tapas (generous portions, and I have a big appetite) and two desserts (definitely try the cheesecake and the dessert cocktail, you won't regret it), as well as cocktails, all on the terrace (the street isn't very busy, so don't worry), and we had no complaints. Hats off to the waiter who managed the dining room single-handedly, with a smile, and without any negative impact on the wait time. It's worth noting that this was our first visit, and the waiter told us that the tapas are seasonal, so there are periodically new items on the menu. We'll be back!
