25/07/2026: Great place. We stopped here on our way to our holiday destination in Brittany. Their traditional Gourin crêpes, made using time-honored methods, are incredibly thin, easy to digest, crispy, and filled with delicious toppings. We thoroughly enjoyed them. What a lovely surprise on our holiday road trip! I highly recommend it. The staff is incredibly attentive to both adults and children. Thank you!

05/08/2026: Perfect place for a tired traveller on its first day. Easy to find. We ate outside, Food is also OK, plenty of choice. Service was fast, attentive, accommodating. Not "haute cuisine" but very acceptable. Not too overpriced. All in all a nice first evening dinner.

10/08/2026: Passing through Saint-Vaast this weekend, we were looking for a restaurant for Saturday evening. We booked for 8:30 pm and received a warm welcome. We were given a choice of indoor or outdoor tables. The owner presented us with the small menu (a guarantee of freshness), explaining the origin of the shellfish and fish. We ordered an aperitif and then went straight to our main course: haddock fillet with saffron rice, baby vegetables, and curry sauce (the sauce was served separately, so the fish wasn't swimming in it). It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared—a real treat. We skipped dessert and opted to share a cheese plate. No problem at all; we were brought two place settings. The cheeses were perfectly aged, and the owner even poured us two glasses of red wine at our request. To finish, we ordered a long coffee. Again, the hot water was served separately for making your own Americano—a small but thoughtful touch, and the coffee was good. The owner is a smooth talker, in the best sense of the word. He loves his job and his restaurant, and he's generous with his knowledge but never intrusive or inappropriate. The staff was also excellent and attentive. The glass of white wine we ordered with our meal arrived a minute before the course, not at the end—again, it's a small detail, but it made a difference. In short, a very pleasant experience, right up until the bill. The owner felt we'd waited too long, which we didn't feel. This isn't fast food; you have to learn to live at a more relaxed pace. The two glasses of red wine were complimentary—classy. This is a restaurant that doesn't try to be something it's not, but does what it does very well. Thank you for a wonderful time.

30/07/2026: A wonderful experience. Obviously, if you're looking for a Michelin-starred restaurant, you're in the wrong place. But if you want a typical Parisian bistro, from the service to the dishes (few but precise and in keeping with the location), well, Le Maximilien is for you! Definitely worth returning to.

28/07/2026: If you're looking for a beautiful, fresh, and perfectly cooked ribeye steak, no matter how you like it cooked, this is the place to go. The welcome is always warm, and we often go there when we're craving a good ribeye. Their homemade couscous is also delicious.

A perfect dinner, from the food to the service! The local produce was bursting with flavor. The best mussels marinière I've ever had! I highly recommend this place.

21/07/2026: Excellent from start to finish. A feast for the senses, both visually and in terms of taste, and a very warm welcome. A must-try for a truly enjoyable culinary experience. The interior is more pleasant than the terrace, which overlooks the parking lot, and it's cooler inside.

18/05/2026: A 5-day/4-night stay at this incredible establishment. We had room 33 in the farmhouse and felt so comfortable there. The view is breathtaking. The room's layout invites calm and relaxation, but the region is full of places to visit. The restaurant offers a single, blind tasting menu. It's unusual, but we enjoyed the experience. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked: fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, brioche and homemade cake, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, scrambled eggs... Enough to satisfy any appetite! We will gladly return.

16/08/2026: While visiting Grenoble with my family, I had the pleasure of enjoying this excellent bistronomic restaurant, which is very affordable and incredibly creative. The cuisine is fresh and homemade, and the dishes are beautifully presented: the mimosa egg reimagined as French caviar, the beef tataki, the tomato tartare, and so on. The ceviche is generous, and everything else is equally delicious. The wines offered by the glass are excellent. While the food is fantastic, it's truly enhanced by the absolutely perfect service: professional, attentive, welcoming, friendly, and even a little funny. That evening, August 15th, the waiter single-handedly handled the entire service with good humor and care for his customers. What a pleasure to be served like that! A huge thank you to him in the dining room and to the chef in the kitchen for their generosity and high quality. It was a truly wonderful experience! A must-try in Grenoble on the charming Place de Gordes.
