13/08/2026: You must definitely visit this restaurant if you are in Nice! Have been here several times over the last 10 years and it never disappoints! I booked a table before arriving. You are greeted with a smile and the food is absolutely amazing. We also had some lovely wines, so please stop by, you won't be disappointed.

15/05/2026: This review isn't about the food, which is excellent, but about everything else—and unfortunately, it ruins the whole experience. Upon arrival, we were told to leave at a specific time, even though several tables were available. This is quite surprising. During the meal, the pressure was constant: the servers stared at our plates, monitored our progress, and even communicated our progress through their earpieces. On several occasions, this became downright uncomfortable. The most unpleasant aspect was the reaction to our request for a doggy bag. The dish was very good, and I simply wanted to finish it at home. Although the request was granted, we were subjected to inappropriate remarks and a persistent, sarcastic attempt to discourage me from ordering dessert. I did order dessert—and I finished it, much to the disgruntled waiter's surprise :) Another point: some tables, with customers who were clearly wealthier than us, received very different treatment… My review is really about one waiter, whom I absolutely do not recommend and who ruined our service. The location is pleasant, as they're lucky enough to have a beautiful view, but the food is excellent, some of the best I've ever had. However, given the prices and the service, you'll get exactly the same experience at any competing restaurant. We now understand the bad reviews about this establishment.

21/08/2026: While on holiday in Cherbourg, we were won over by the Gascon and mountain galettes – absolutely delicious! But a word of advice: reserve them in advance, otherwise… you're unlikely to get to enjoy them.

26/09/2026: Catastrophic service, the worst I've ever seen. We sat down and were finally taken after 10 minutes. We gave our order, which the waitress noted down. Then she arrived with the galettes, handing them to us without cutlery or drinks, which apparently didn't bother anyone. So we had to ask for everything ourselves. When it came to cutlery, the manager even had the nerve to tell us, "Just eat with your hands," before finally giving it to us. After finishing our galettes, we waited about 15 minutes before our plates were cleared. Then the waitress came back to ask us what we had chosen for dessert… even though she had already written it down. But the best part was yet to come: my girlfriend had ordered a set menu and asked for a Coke instead of cider. We were then told there would be an extra charge of €2.50. When we got to the till, I simply pointed out that, with the set menu, the dishes were actually cheaper ordered individually than with the added extras. The manager then made a second, particularly inappropriate remark: "If you want to pay more, that's your prerogative." In the end, I was absolutely right. I won't even dwell on the rest: three people serving only 5 to 10 customers and yet still managing to have so much trouble providing service, dropping an open jar of Nutella and putting it back on the table as if nothing had happened, apologizing to other customers for the wait, dropping the pepper mill, or failing to serve desserts in a reasonable timeframe. In short, a truly disappointing experience, both in terms of the service and the manager's attitude.

28/08/2026: The restaurant is located opposite the entrance to Montreuil-Bellay Castle. We had a very good meal. The waitress was excellent. Dogs welcome.

24/09/2026: This was our second visit to Ba/c. After lunch at the counter, where the chefs were precise and efficient, we tried dinner with friends. The dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented; the food was delicious. Originality blends seamlessly with tradition, creating a signature style. The wine list is also worth mentioning, offering quality wines at affordable prices. In short, we loved everything and will be back very soon!

04/09/2026: What a lovely moment! My eyes were sparkling with delight as I received a parade of dishes that left only room on the table for tasting, laughter, and wine. Speaking of which, there's plenty to enjoy in terms of sparkling wines and other wines at very reasonable prices 🍾 The chef managed to get me to try flavors I don't usually like—a complete success! And a big thumbs up for the dessert, which was delicious! Can't wait to try it again 👀
