14/05/2026: Everything was perfect for these 3 nights. Quality bedding, clean bathroom and toilet. The only downside was the terrace, which was covered in dirt that had probably been there for a few weeks, which was a shame. But overall, I was very happy with my stay here.

04/06/2026: A wonderful discovery in the Vaucluse! We had a romantic lunch on the terrace at Les Pins, and what a pleasant surprise! The menu successfully blends generosity and originality. For starters, a creamy and fresh avocado salad, beautifully presented in a black stoneware bowl, enhanced with golden cherry tomatoes and shrimp—a light yet indulgent amuse-bouche. The fisherman's stew was simply remarkable: a fragrant and generous broth, perfectly opened mussels, plump whole prawns, meltingly tender potatoes, and that gratinéed crouton floating on the surface... A seafood dish that evokes the flavors of the South, served with a smile. The yakitori chicken also won us over: perfectly marinated and golden skewers, accompanied by stir-fried noodles with vegetables and candied cherry tomatoes—flavorful, generous, with that touch of umami we didn't expect to find in Bollène! The crème brûlée was also delicious. The terrace setting is really lovely, the service attentive, and the portions are generous and satisfying. We'll gladly come back!

19/05/2026: Good experience at the Alsatian Tavern: I had a very good meal; the tarte flambée was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The servers were also friendly and the service pleasant. You can tell it's a very popular tourist spot. The only real downside (for me) is the lack of space between the tables; they're really very close together (20cm apart). So you have to like fairly cramped places. Personally, it's not really the kind of atmosphere I enjoy. But it's still a good place to eat a good tarte flambée in Gérardmer 😊

30/06/2026: The truffade and the country ham were both very good, and at a very reasonable price. If you stick to regional/local products, you won't be disappointed. However, I'm less enthusiastic about the desserts. I ordered the basic Dame Blanche (ice cream and whipped cream). The service was quite good.

12/04/2026: Excellent value for money! Elegant, stylish, high-quality dishes with perfect portions. The menu even includes cheese before dessert! I've never seen that anywhere else, except as an extra. The restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated without being over the top. Very comfortable chairs. The staff is competent and very friendly. Well done! A great find, I highly recommend it!

09/05/2026: A good time, but the cheese platter was communal. Like, the same cheese platter passed from table to table 🤗 COVID seems so far away. Friendly welcome, excellent tarts, and I'm probably being too fussy, but still, there are basic hygiene standards.

The flavorful and delicious dishes left a lingering bitter aftertaste. And what can I say about the waitresses… smiling, charming, and with such generous smiles! What a pleasure it was to share this moment with the staff. Top-notch! I highly recommend this restaurant, which has given me a new perspective on life.

17/05/2026: This modest sized restaurant feels very spacious inside due to the unusual white pine panelling. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the ambience is relaxed. I started with the duo of foie gras de canard which was excellent! Two pieces were chilled slices and two pieces were grilled “crème brulée” with a layer of sugar on top. Most creative as the cooked foie gras becomes the ‘cream’ - brilliant! My main course was veal kidneys (always a treat in France as you never see them on the menu in England) in garlic and parsley butter. Also very good, though slightly spoiled by the fact that the garde manger forgot to wash the lettuce (lots of gravel crunching - not good). The bread here is fantastic! Everything I visit France for. Dessert was a novel take on tiramisu involving crème chantilly, apples and pineau des Charentes in place of coffee and Marsala. Not really a success, but a noble failure.

15/05/2026: We were at Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, and since the restaurant at the castle didn't accept card payments, we went to this restaurant based on a recommendation. My girlfriend immediately tried her first tarte flambée and was very impressed. The roast pork with crackling, as well as the desserts crème brûlée and fondant au chocolat, were also très bien. We didn't speak any French beyond what Google Translate could provide, and she didn't speak any German, but with a bit of gesturing and a little English, it was a very pleasant restaurant visit. We highly recommend it, even if it looks closed from the outside—just walk in.
