23/02/2026: Excellent restaurant, with a very warm welcome for both children and adults. We came with our two children to discover regional cuisine and we loved the tarte flambée. The atmosphere is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!

05/03/2026: On March 4, 2026, we ordered sea bream Spanish-style for two, and it was delicious... Spanish-style, meaning with garlic cooked in a surprising way. My friend had a good rum baba, and I had a glass of champagne drizzled with Patxaran, which was also very good but a little pricey. The staff was very pleasant. The dining room was comfortably warm. It's a lovely place to eat, right next to the banks of the Gave River, perfect for a post-meal stroll.

After a 45-minute delay due to travel problems, we arrived a little late and found a restaurant owner who took excellent care of us and gave us a warm welcome. The pizzas were very good and the portions were generous. Thank you for the welcome.

17/02/2026: Gorgeous little bar with an incredibly friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owner(?) was very attentive and even let me practice my french with him and offered me a game of chess while I drank my coffee :) Great place to stop near the sights ⭐

17/02/2026: I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening with my mom at this bar in Bordeaux. We enjoyed a delicious cheese platter, accompanied by two generous glasses of Suternes. The real highlight, however, was the owner, Naji, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He taught us a dice game and joined us at our table. I highly recommend him. We'll definitely visit him again in Bordeaux. Thanks, Naji!

01/03/2026: As regulars at La Vieille Gabelle, we were particularly disappointed by our visit today. Unfortunately, the quality is no longer up to the standard of our previous visits. Several issues spoiled our evening: • Disregard for reservation requirements: I specifically requested a table on the ground floor for my mother, who has a knee problem. Despite this, we were seated upstairs. And don't even get me started on the U-shaped table for five people—it was absurd! • Disappointing ambiance: The upstairs room is shabby, extremely noisy, and the mismatched chairs detract from the expected level of service. It's far from the atmosphere of a "fine dining" establishment. • Declining value for money: The portions are noticeably smaller. The photo of the trout gravlax, with its three tiny pieces, is a perfect example: for the price of the set menus, it's woefully inadequate. • Slow service: Arrived at 7 pm, left at 10:15 pm... The service was slow and poorly paced. It's a real shame, but this experience has put us off returning anytime soon…

05/01/2025: A little (very) late, here I am trying to catch up to describe our experience in August for a short stay in this Hotel in Belcastel. The location is I believe the main asset, because right opposite the castle and the old bridge. And it is also possible to go hiking. Breakfast along the river with this panorama is a moment of pure happiness, the room very functional and pleasant, the small parking lot, and of course the restaurant which well deserves its star. We will come back to it!

26/02/2026: A charming little mountain inn, the rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. As for the restaurant, we enjoyed every meal from appetizer to dessert, and what a pleasure to find such sophisticated and varied vegetarian dishes! A gem in the heart of this valley, don't hesitate to stop by :)

24/01/2026: A real gem of a place near the Gulf of Lava! This is my second visit, and it's just as delicious as ever. I think my partner and I can both agree that we've rarely been so satisfied with a restaurant. The portions are generous, beautifully presented, and the dishes are bursting with flavor in every bite. The cherry on top, or rather the pistachio, is the dessert. I think the other dishes are excellent too, but the pistachio cake blew us away! 🤣 It was truly exquisite. The waitress was super friendly, the service was quick and pleasant, in short, we have nothing to complain about except that it's rare to find such a great restaurant these days. Thank you!

01/03/2026: A significant drop in food quality… and the prices remain the same as before. Don't be fooled by the photos from the previous owners; the products and quantities (fries, desserts, etc.) are completely different. It's a shame, we used to love coming here…
