06/10/2025: ***** 5 stars for all these years of good cooking... but it's OVER!!! Monique can no longer prepare meals; her facilities don't meet EU standards!!!!! We've known Monique for many years, and it's always a pleasure to enjoy a simple meal of good, local cuisine in her restaurant... but Monique had to stop preparing meals, as her kitchen didn't meet EU standards. A year before retirement, she didn't want to incur the high costs of renovations, just to please the EU. She continues to welcome us with a smile, good humor, and kindness, offers us all the other services of her establishment, and we can still order refreshments, an aperitif, or a coffee at the bar, which is still open... what a shame for Monique to have had to stop cooking, which she once did with such generosity. Happy retirement, Monique, and thank you for your welcome and your delicious meals over all these years ♥

26/08/2025: If you want to experience a unique human and culinary experience, stop by Denis and Jean Marc's. If you're looking for a cozy, classic restaurant, move on; that's not what they're after. However, if you want to eat at a local's home and feel like you're at home with family, take the time to meet this wonderful family and taste everything Denis and his wife cook for you. At the bar, you'll definitely share a drink with their son, Jean Marc, and why not a game of pétanque with the kids, along with chestnut, myrtle, or hazelnut liqueurs? As for the prices, this is still one of the rare places where you won't get gouged, with a bill that's more than reasonable and even ridiculously cheap. While on vacation in Bastia, it would be a shame not to discover these people and this place.

20/08/2025: Extraordinary! We've been there 5 times and it's always great. Everything is perfect, an unusual, friendly and welcoming setting, a magnificent view, a change of scenery, rustic and warm, a welcoming and friendly owner and his family :) And above all, excellent Corsican food, homemade with local produce, generous dishes and unbeatable value for money! A very nice discovery!! We'll be back!

04/02/2026: I live near Le Bourgogne and I must say that returning to this establishment more than ten years later was an excellent idea. Everything ticks the boxes for a successful customer experience: * The welcome: warm and friendly. * The service: in keeping with the warm welcome, with helpful advice and genuine care. * The menu: varied but not overwhelming, it's enticing. * The dishes: they are very good, flavorful, and well-portioned. * The ambiance: very well laid out and spacious, it makes you want to stay longer. The many regulars seem to enjoy themselves there. In short, I recommend Le Bourgogne for all these reasons and even more, because the atmosphere is pleasant and the human touch remains at the heart of the establishment.
