17/01/2026: The museum has some very beautiful exhibitions. I'm not particularly interested in contemporary art, but I greatly appreciate contemporary painters who evoke the warmth and light of Provence (Laurent Mattio in 2025). I really love modern art, and this museum has plenty to offer! The bookstore is also very interesting. The museum publishes remarkable monographs and exhibition catalogs.

20/12/2025: The deplorable, even aggressive, reception from the hostess and the security guard made us turn on our heels and leave. Disdainful looks, the feeling that we were intruding. Thank you, goodbye.

01/02/2026: Extremely expensive for what was offered. The lodge is well-designed and spacious, and we were able to observe the animals through the large bay window. Aside from the lodge, the park and services are disappointing. The reception told us there were three open restaurants, but only one offered a very expensive "canteen-style" cafeteria. In the evening, when night fell, there were very few signs to find our way back to the lodges! We ended up with three families, each with a flashlight, trying to find our way back to our accommodations… The evening meal supposedly arrived in insulated boxes that kept it hot until 11 pm! By 7 pm, the meals had already been delivered, but they were only lukewarm. We reheated them as best we could in the microwave. The list of available items (alcohol, wine, sodas, and snacks) had not been updated. We reported this to the reception, who apologized but didn't understand the reason for this discrepancy. Finally, for breakfast, the basket contained coffee capsules, but unfortunately, the coffee maker didn't work… it started leaking everywhere! The reception staff were still apologetic, but what did it matter, we were leaving after this stay. I can understand that the establishment makes a profit from their unusual accommodations, but nothing else is being done to support them… it's a shame! The grounds give the impression of being poorly maintained, and the staff seem ill-trained and uninformed. The people we met had the same impression…

01/02/2026: A wonderful experience among the wolves. The lodge is well-designed and spacious. One small drawback: there could be a few more place settings and two or three plates for those wishing to have a light aperitif before the evening meal delivered to the lodge. While the evening meal was adequate (except for the very small starter for two), breakfast could be improved with fruit yogurt instead of plain, and some cold cuts for those who prefer savory options. Furthermore, the information provided by the staff was sometimes contradictory. The person who brought us to the lodge told us that it would be possible to take us to reception the next day when we collected our luggage if there was space, whereas the gentleman who picked us up refused to take us to reception, saying he only takes luggage, even though the car was empty. A few minor adjustments are still needed to make it nearly perfect.

01/01/2026: Lopez!!! The best ice cream parlor in ALL of Royan!! We already knew that!!! And their ice cream logs are to die for!! That was a real discovery. We devoured the Sicilian log!

30/12/2025: We ordered two Yule logs for four people for Christmas, and what a surprise when we took one of them out of its packaging—it was broken! I checked to make sure I hadn't broken it during transport, but no, the broken piece wasn't even in the box. When we politely pointed it out to the saleswoman today, she didn't believe us until she saw the photo, and the only thing she could say was, "But we check them..." Apparently not that often. I'm not saying mistakes can happen, especially during the Christmas season when there are a lot of orders, but the broken piece not being in the box means it was broken as soon as it was packaged in the kitchen... And to top it all off, in addition to being condescending, the saleswoman didn't even apologize, which, given the price of the log (€21.90 for the four-person version, remember), would be the bare minimum... Lopez is a Royan institution, but it's a shame that some employees don't live up to the brand's standards. the company and this damages its image.

03/09/2024: It was full elsewhere, so much the better, great setting on the terrace by the lake, relaxed and top-notch service, and delicious Carpaccio.

01/09/2024: We were well received, the staff were pleasant and we had a good meal with a magnificent view. Go there with your eyes closed!

22/01/2026: Superb hotel and restaurant with vineyard views

14/01/2026: We received a very warm welcome during our long weekend. Our table of seven, including three children, was impeccable despite the crowds. The portions were very generous, and the value for money was excellent. I highly recommend it.

25/06/2025: 3.5/5 Not bad, but disappointed by the food. The beef bourguignon was good but too small in quantity, and it lacked a side dish for my taste. The wine list is interesting but very expensive and at odds with the cuisine. The service is efficient but not friendly, and we were quickly dispatched, reduced by +300€ for a table of 6. It was a good thing there were only 3 of us drinking wine. However, I recommend the Singapore address, which has a passionate young sommelier and very friendly staff.

03/12/2025: The eggplant, zucchini, and cherry tomato tart was absolutely delicious. The setting was very pleasant and the service impeccable. Thank you!

07/10/2025: Delicious food, I really enjoyed it! Nothing to complain about. The service was perfect and the waitress very friendly. Typical and pleasant setting. Quiet because it was a weekday and we were only at tables of one.

31/01/2026: Served in the veranda with a lovely sea view, I was alone and the ambiance was important to me. There were few customers, so the atmosphere was a bit subdued.

21/08/2025: Store with exorbitant prices, complicated traceability, in the end, we're not really sure if it's better... Sustainable food, yes, meh... A frosty welcome, disorganized traffic... And I come back to the prices, a real joke. Moreover, "online shopping" is more expensive than online. So disappointing. The price-to-quantity ratio is ridiculous. To think that there are people filling their shopping carts in this store. Mind-blowing. I went to the supermarket further away where I filled a cart with plant-based products for a reasonable price and a satisfactory quantity. Never again Biocoop. 😅

04/11/2025: The waitress needs to brush up on her basics: the salt shaker was empty at our table and remained so until dessert. She chatted more with her regulars and forgot about everyone else. The service was far too slow. The food was decent, nothing more. It's time to change the menu, breathe new life into the cuisine, and modernize it a bit. That's my advice!
