15/12/2024: We visited this place for the first and last time today. The good reviews of the restaurant drew us in, but we were severely disappointed. If you thought you couldn’t go wrong with fries, this place will prove you wrong: the fries here are apparently fried so many times that they’re completely burnt, consisting only of crust and air. At first glance, we even thought they were sweet potato fries. The vegetarian burger was okay, but definitely overpriced for what it was, and the burger bun was barely toasted. The service was extremely unfriendly, and we didn’t feel comfortable at all. Very disappointing!

15/09/2024: This restaurant is located in the heart of st Marie de re, The staff was do friendly. I had the best meal of my stay in ile de re which was a pave de Merlu. The fish was so fresh cooked to perfection and it tasted amazing. My mom and sisters both had a dish with octopus and shrimps that was delicious as well. Nothing bad to say about this place. If you want to enjoy a great meal just go there you won't be disappointed.

13/08/2024: Fabulous ! My wife and I opted for the beef fillet with Roquefort sauce. In addition to perfect cooking, the meat was excellent. We don't remember eating such tender meat that finally gave meaning to the concept of "melt in the mouth". In short, a highly recommended address!

25/11/2024: A sunny spring day, at low tide, sitting on the terrace of the "Grand Herbet", contemplating the magnificent panorama, offered by the shimmering golden shine of the herbets (kelp), on the ocher and brownish rocks, and the noria oyster farmers' tractors.
Except for the appeal of the terrace, not much to say...except that.
Ordinary cuisine, Fish And Chips and ordinary lemon tart.
Average service.
Local and noisy atmosphere.
This is all average.

19/12/2024: When we present a video of the cassoulet recipe on the site, and we display the cassoulet brotherhood on the facade of the restaurant, we expect excellence, not a botched recipe with ungrilled sausage, only 4 small squares of pork rind for decoration, insufficient for the taste, peppery and tasteless dish due to lack of simmering to the point of making a black crust of burnt beans I think with a blowtorch...
Positive points, the portion is copious and the beans are well cooked on the chew side.
Maybe 50 people is too many, at that point we won't accept the deal...
11/11/2024: Pretty little restaurant in the countryside. A cassoulet worthy of its name. Fast and efficient service. I recommend.

13/12/2024: Memorable discovery between friends, I will keep delicious memories of this lunch. The setting of the castle is sumptuous, chandeliers, furniture, everything is elegant and having a meal under the beams which have retained such colors can only leave a wonderful memory. But on top of that, the welcome is friendly and frank, the explanations, whether culinary or historical, are given with precision and the pleasure of sharing. As for the cuisine, it was simply a treat! Thank you also for allowing us to wander around the castle.

Les mets sont raffinés et les produits sont excellents
Très belle présentation
Délicieux amuses bouche.
Nous avons tous les 5 adorés, la gouline , les ravioles de foie gras et potiron puis le sanglier, le coq, la lotte tout simplement délicieux.
Les desserts furent excellents le dessert au chocolat et les figues rôties.
La carte des vins est superbe.
Cela mérite une étoile Michelin .. le prix du menu est plus que raisonnable.
On a adoré .. on vas vite revenir!

11/11/2024: Des croques monsieur revisités délicieux, une salle simple mais conviviale, un concept simple et efficace, très bien réalisé.
06/10/2024: Mein erster Croque Monsieur und ich war begeistert. Naja, eigentlich hatte ich den Croque Mam'zelle mit Trüffel Creme und es war sehr gut. Mein Mann hatte den Croque Monsieur, bestellt hatte er ihn ohne, wurde aber versehentlich mit Trüffelcreme gebracht. Der Service war sehr nett und hat sofort einen neuen gebracht und die Pommes gingen sogar aufs Haus. Wäre nicht nötig gewesen, weil das kann mal passieren und ist absolut nicht schlimm, aber es war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wenn wir mal wieder in Paris sind, kommen wir gerne wieder :)

12/09/2024: It took a while before we could place our order and then ask for some salt. But the waiting time was more than made up for by the originally seasoned, tasty dishes. Really a pleasure, pleasantly located on a side street.
12/09/2024: A wonderful restaurant with authentic Moroccan cuisine. The tagine was delicious. Very nice atmosphere. Attention: The restaurant cat doesn't like dogs 😂
But the owner took good care to ensure that nothing happened to our darling.

19/08/2024: I recently had lunch in this restaurant in the mountains where the welcome was friendly and attentive, making the experience pleasant from the start.
As a starter, I chose the Saint-Marcellin salad. While the portion was very generous, I was a little disappointed by the excess honey that coated the cheese, making the dish a little too sweet for my taste.
On the other hand, the sea bream grilled over a wood fire was excellent. Cooking over a wood fire brought a subtle flavor which enhanced the fish, making it particularly tasty.
To conclude, I opted for a fruit salad with lemon verbena for dessert. This choice turned out to be very satisfying, with fresh fruit and a touch of verbena which brought a nice freshness to the end of the meal.
Despite a slight disappointment with the starter, I generally enjoyed this lunch in the mountains, where the quality of the dishes and the friendliness of the service deserve to be highlighted.
