As I was ahead of schedule, I called you several times to inform you of my cancellation. Your answering machine redirected me to the Logis Hotel website (WHICH YOU ACKNOWLEDGED ON THE PHONE), making it impossible to reach you. Therefore, Madam, please acknowledge your lack of professionalism when you hung up on me while I was explaining my difficulty in contacting you. That said, the reason I booked a room with you again is that I felt completely satisfied during my previous stay. Sincerely

06/03/2026: An exceptional, timeless experience. The food was superb, the homemade foie gras absolutely divine. The tartares were simply unparalleled. And what can I say about Carole! A truly unique character who welcomes you with warmth and makes you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. A highly recommended spot. In short, 300 km is no problem for us; we'll be back.

12/02/2026: We went there for my partner's birthday on February 11th after receiving glowing recommendations, and I must say we weren't disappointed at all! It's a restaurant you absolutely must experience, especially if you're a tartare aficionado like me. Carole prepares them, like all her dishes, to order. I watched her prepare my tartare by hand in her kitchen from my table. Thank you, Madam, for this wonderful culinary experience that made our birthday evening truly special. See you soon. We are never disappointed when we walk through the door of LA PROMENADE. Bravo to the chef and his wife! A highly recommended address.

21/09/2025: We want to share our fabulous experience at this hostel. We arrived here on a rainy August night, after an eight-day trek across the Pyrenees from Spain. The welcome was spectacular. We didn't have a reservation; everything was full, but at the last minute, some guests who had reserved a room couldn't get in and were able to offer it to us. We had planned to stay one night, but ended up staying for three. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and Jackie, the founder, continues to be the soul of this hostel. The homemade apple tarts are delicious. We will definitely return. Thank you so much!!!

10/09/2025: A wonderfully relaxing stop on the Chemin des Bonshommes. The welcome was warm and friendly and the food delicious. Highly recommended.

23/03/2026: A starter that was good but expensive (4 small gnocchi in a blue cheese sauce for €11!), a main course that was very expensive, which I was advised to cook medium-rare but which was brought to me practically blue, or rather bloody (a measly slice of calf's liver, about 140g, in vinegar, with no other sauce and some plain fries for €26)... Furthermore, there was a huge misunderstanding between the menus displayed outside and inside; the prices didn't match, and the confusion was so complete that you didn't know how much you would end up paying. A chalkboard was positioned against the inside window, at the bottom, which made it difficult to see, forcing you to read the menu displayed in its proper glass-fronted location. I don't advise against going if you're well-off and like to spend lavishly, because the owner clearly enjoys it, but make sure you know how much you'll pay for what you order from the start, because as I said, the confusion is such that you won't know. The DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) has received a report about the incorrect signage. Indeed, as you can see on the outdoor menu in the photo, it says: "LUNCH MENU... Menu with choice on 'THE BOARD' starter+main/main+dessert: €20 (this has disappeared from the board) and starter+main+dessert: €24 (€25 on the board)." So, once seated at the table, there would no longer be a menu with a choice of dishes on the board, but rather a set starter, main course, and dessert, even though it still says "with a choice" on the board. So I chose from the lunch menu, a starter and a main course which should have cost me €20 (this menu was not on the menu but was available outside). I ended up paying €37, à la carte actually. So, there's no set lunch menu to choose from on the chalkboard as indicated on the outdoor menu, which is blatant DECEPTION, and the €20 menu has disappeared, which is also blatant DECEPTION. (Different prices between the outdoor and indoor menus, different products between the indoor and outdoor menus, menus appearing outside no longer exist inside, products listed below the lunch menu price don't correspond to the products on the outdoor menu, undeniably incorrect information outside—the confusion is there, whether deliberately or foolishly.) It's too complicated to discuss things with a restaurant owner who won't give customers their proper seats, even though she was politely informed in front of the outdoor menu, where she refused to accompany me to verify the error (odd). I never recommend people or websites where there is obvious deception. For your information, since 1998 I have eaten lunch and dinner in restaurants due to my profession, and for €37 I sometimes get a semi-gastronomic, complete and much better meal.

17/01/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant, which offers traditional dishes, pizzas, and delicious burgers. The menu is varied and caters to all tastes, whether you're craving classic cuisine or a hearty, gourmet burger. The burgers are generous, high-quality, well-topped, and served with crispy fries. You can tell the care put into the food. The service is attentive and pleasant. A place I highly recommend and where I will gladly return.

22/03/2026: Extremely disappointed. I came to the kids' park with a 2-year-old, and 9 euros for that is frankly awful. The play area isn't heated at all, and the ball pit was full of chips and all sorts of trash. Everything is very outdated. They seem to think it's more geared towards adults with bowling and other games, but for children, it's terrible. Keep in mind that these are their future customers.

22/03/2026: Following a recent incident at your establishment, I am requesting clarification. A member of our group was asked to remove a cap, citing internal regulations, while other customers were permitted to wear headscarves without any issues. This situation surprised and disturbed me, as it suggests discriminatory treatment that, in my opinion, warrants clarification. I fully understand that each establishment may set its own dress code. However, these rules must be consistent, applied fairly, and, where necessary, clearly explained to avoid any misunderstandings. I would be grateful if you could provide an explanation for this difference in treatment, as well as the specific dress code rules applied at your establishment. This rating reflects the disappointment caused by this blatant discrimination.

11/03/2026: A table was reserved for a pre-theater meal. We had specified our rather tight schedule: 1 hour 30 minutes for lunch. We ordered one main course, cheese, and dessert. The main course was fine, but the cheese never arrived. We waited 30 minutes for dessert and had to eat it very quickly. We alerted the restaurant several times, to no avail... it's difficult to serve cheese and dessert that have already been prepared. We expressed our dissatisfaction at the time of payment, but received no apology and certainly no gesture of goodwill. In short, I do not recommend it. It's a shame because the food itself is good.

21/12/2025: What can I say about this place... Honestly, I was strolling through the streets of Saint-Denis and I saw this place at lunchtime (being Belgian, lunchtime for you French folks 😉) and I decided to stop in... There were lots of regulars in the dining room, but also tourists and workers on their break. I ordered a salmon salad and ended up with a plate of salmon, croutons, green salad, and tomatoes—all very hearty and, above all... delicious! A small basket of French baguette was included as a bonus, and "real" baguettes at that! The staff was very friendly, joking with the other customers, trying to explain to an English couple how to say "vin rouge" in French; "red wine"... I smiled, hearing them laugh as they tried to say things with their accents. I decided to go back in the evening for dinner (yes, dinner for you French folks 😂) and this time I had a fish dish; Red mullet with rice. Two red mullets on the plate with saffron rice and a delicious sauce ❤ In the midst of Christmas decorating, yes, things are moving faster and faster now 😁 they don't hesitate to take the time to share a kind word with you. A little shout-out to that person with whom we had a debate about waiting for Saint Nicholas 😉 And finally, the price, well, frankly, you really, really get your money's worth because beyond the welcome and the food, the atmosphere is truly fantastic!!! Don't hesitate... ============================================== Back in Paris, I decided to return to this place; my main question is, will they recognize me? I'd barely stepped inside when the owner called out to me, "How's the Belgian doing?" Well, yes, he hadn't forgotten me! We chatted over a drink, and the regulars, wanting to play a game of darts, asked if I'd like to join them; which I promptly did! At 1 a.m., I left the establishment filled with a sense of well-being... As I was leaving, the owner asked if I'd like to come to a private party the next day (with a meal) featuring Kabyle and Raï music; three singers performed, and I replied, "With pleasure!" I had a wonderful time that evening. The Algerian atmosphere was authentic, warm, and full of life, and truly, truly welcoming. The dishes were delicious and generous, and even though the place was packed, the chef ensured everyone was served at the same time at their table. Returning to the subject of the welcome, it is simply exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuine. A true cornerstone of the place, it makes you want to return. A wonderful address to discover without hesitation, both for locals and globetrotters!

16/12/2025: A very disappointing experience. The food was barely acceptable. The crème brûlée was frankly awful, lacking both texture and flavor. And to top it all off, the prices are clearly outrageous considering the quality offered. Disastrous value for money. I absolutely do not recommend it.
