The kitchen staff were also very friendly, available, and attentive to the customers. The manager was also very pleasant and professional. Everything is very well organized to ensure that customers are dazzled and have a wonderful time. And kudos to the unsung heroes behind the scenes! I highly recommend this establishment.

A party of four of us waited almost an hour and fifteen minutes for our pizzas (this had already happened on a previous visit). However, regulars had no problem waiting! I came to dine at an expensive restaurant from which I expect service that wasn't provided, and I don't care if it's a protected historical monument. Regarding the view from the table, I could see part of the wall of the papal palace to the side, and another wall of another building in front. It's a shame you didn't mention the three firm nos your partner gave when we asked if it was possible to eat inside. And no mention of the fact that he didn't even escort us to the table, which I find shameful. It was 36 degrees at the time, so it wasn't entirely out of place to ask to dine inside. Besides, when making the reservation, instead of asking for credit card details and threatening to charge €100 in the event of a no-show, you could have communicated that the inside dining room wouldn't be available. That would have been the mark of serious and professional restaurateurs. I don't think he made a fuss about the delay in bringing out the dishes, so all his insults and lies about it don't touch me at all. If I was in a hurry, I wouldn't have come to you. Another lie: I never argued with my wife that evening, as it rarely happens, so his attempts to distort reality are rather petty and out of place. Do three tiny slices of bread and that little tube of butter you see in the photo constitute gorging yourself? You have serious problems understanding reality. The aggression came from your wife toward us, not the other way around, but I understand that you have to take your partner's position to avoid problems. I found all the adjectives you listed (arrogance, rudeness, and aggression) in your response, and I am very sorry about that. By the way, he speaks of arrogance when he wasn't present at the entrance, so he trusted the lies told by the same person who flatly denied us the chance to dine in the dining room and turned his back on us without showing us to the table. 12/08/2026: We came for dinner and loved this restaurant with its "all-tomato" menu. The gourmet cuisine and intimate service are perfect. The wine lists are fantastic.

28/07/2026: We had our meal on the roadside terrace. The traditional cuisine was excellent, and the service was pleasant and friendly. And don't forget to try a Mutzig beer! I highly recommend it.

28/07/2026: Just one small negative point about the terrace: it's very noisy during the week because of the traffic, but I imagine it must be much quieter on Sundays. Otherwise, the food is very good; it reminds me of my grandmother's cooking.

12/07/2026: Perfect! Well done. Homemade. The set menus are a bit pricey but delicious and very generous. Impeccable welcome and service. Very little wait. We were offered an aperitif and a digestif. Having been twice, I've never been able to finish my plate. I highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are essential as it's always packed.

14/07/2026: We stopped at this restaurant after seeing the good reviews online. We had a great time and the food was excellent. The Caesar salad was superb! The chicken curry, sausage rougail, and hanger steak were all very good! It's a shame the portions weren't very generous. For dessert, I loved the profiterole; the 110 sundae was good, but nothing special. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.

The welcome is warm, the service attentive, and the cozy atmosphere invites relaxation. We particularly appreciated the authentic flavors and the perfect balance of seasonings. A restaurant where you feel right at home, with excellent value for money. An address to remember. We'll definitely be back!

06/08/2026: Very disappointed, no menu or wine list, set menu, we asked for rosé and they brought us a bottle, surprise price 148 euros for 4 people to eat a bland starter, braised beef and a slightly dry apricot cake, nothing like all the glowing reviews and photos shown on the internet, avoid it, keep walking.

17/07/2026: I came with a friend for a drink, thrilled to discover this beautiful place. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we felt a certain animosity towards us from the male waiters. The only person who was polite and pleasant to us was the bartender. Despite our requests to be seated at a table with armchairs, and despite the availability of tables, none of the men would seat us. Luckily, the bartender readily seated us. Once we were seated, a waiter came to ask us to leave, to which we had to reply that we had the bartender's permission. Nice, isn't it? We expected quality service, or at least decent service, in this "upscale" establishment, but we received the exact opposite. If you are under 60 and neither American nor Emirati, stay away; you'll be better treated at McDonald's. A huge disappointment. Save your time and money; you'll thank me later.

14/07/2026: The location is beautiful and exceptional, but the breakfast was average... nothing extraordinary. However, we were able to watch the Bastille Day parade on television, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

24/08/2026: Regret now that I have not looked through the reviews. They indeed separate between locals & travelers in two different rooms with very different ambience. The service was also pooer, with our server changing his stance when we took only one option of his recommended starters. There was also another server yelling to our server implying something about our nationality. (I had a companion understanding French). They also place a never-stopping ringing phone which disturbed dining experience. Food was also closer to bad. The duck (£110 ) was very tough with plain sauce. I srsly do not recommend. 비추. 관광객 차별하고 무엇보다 음식이 개노맛임.

23/08/2026: Very cramped seating. The air conditioning creates a cold draft and is unsightly with its large, exposed pipes. A strong musty smell in the dining room. The food is completely unremarkable. Overall, a huge disappointment.
