06/10/2025: A truly blissful moment in Contis-Plage! On our GR8 hiking trail, we stopped in Contis-Plage for a simple lunch break... which turned into a delightful moment. From the moment we arrived, a welcoming, friendly, and attentive welcome enveloped us like a summer breeze. The team is quick, approachable, and exceptionally kind. The dishes are simple yet elaborate, bursting with color and flavor, a true feast for the eyes and the taste buds. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and the setting, nestled between the ocean and the pine forest. You can sense a wonderful collective spirit here: the staff and management take the time to come and chat, to make sure everything went well, with a sincerity that warms the heart. A charming and light-filled stopover that I recommend without hesitation to all travelers in search of a little humanity and real flavors.

On Friday evenings, you can get hamburgers (vegetarian version available), which is very convenient, and there's a new recipe every month. They also have a few snacks for happy hour. One of the highlights of the meal was the Sebas fish, which was cooked perfectly—tender, fresh, and full of rich flavor. The restaurant’s ambience was equally impressive. The space was very clean, comfortable, and elegant, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure everything was just right throughout the evening. Dessert was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The French toast and the pavlova were both amazing—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Each bite had a wonderful balance of sweetness and texture that made it hard to stop eating. Overall, Le Coq delivers an exceptional dining experience with excellent food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. It’s definitely a place worth visiting when in Paris.

The menu offers a choice of bistro or tapas dishes, which can be mixed and matched. In the kitchen, it's an art form: respect for fresh ingredients, perfect cooking, homemade sauces, elegant presentation, and excellent wine. It's rare to find such authentic homemade food; well done! 03/12/2025: The restaurant is well located, the service efficient, but you shouldn't deviate from the standard order. As for the food, the dishes were good but lukewarm, which is a shame for a leek fondue and risotto, especially since they were very good.
