22/01/2026: This was a standout of my short visit to Paris. I lucked out on a Saturday morning in late December at 11am and got the little table by the window at the front, ordered a slice of the Tarte Tatin and Earl Grey. The murals of Alice in Wonderland are beautiful, the service was friendly, and I felt very comfortable as a solo guest staying as long as I wanted. I am still dreaming about this place, it doesn't even matter how much they charge for a slice of pie. To be inside and in that world for a moment is worth it. And the Tarte was magnifique ⭐️

20/01/2026: Went today, service was slack. (30 minutes ignored) Most of us (6) were going to have a meal. As one only ordered coffee and one only cake, we were asked to order a meal or leave, so on principle we left. Very embarrassing for the french. This type of arrogance won't end well for them.

04/09/2024: Wow, what an unexpected experience! Due to bad weather we had to change our plans and ended up here...and so happy! Very tasty food, clean place, very friendly service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area! Price-quality at its best! Thank you for this wonderful experience!

14/12/2025: A must-stay in Balaruc-les-Bains. The owners offer a warm welcome, spacious rooms, and refined local cuisine served in generous portions, not to mention the traditional sauerkraut on Thursdays. We greatly appreciate the hotel's welcoming atmosphere during our stays in Balaruc. I wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Martinez.

29/06/2025: Very reasonably priced and extensive lunch menu, although there isn't much choice. Service was very attentive, and the outdoor seating was very comfortable under natural vegetation. Thank you, beaucoup!

27/12/2025: Excellent truffade and sea bream! We were just passing through on our way back from vacation, and we received an extremely warm welcome with our two meowing kittens. Be warned, it's best to book ahead, as this place has a great reputation! I highly recommend it :-)

10/01/2026: So where to begin? Upon arrival, the manager pounced on us to present his suggestion without even asking if we were there for a meal or just a coffee. Then my boyfriend, finally won over by the suggestion, ordered it, our friend ordered a simple hot chocolate, and when I asked what kind of panini they had, he told me to look at the display case as if he had no idea what he was selling. I ended up choosing the raclette and bacon panini. It arrived barely warm, contained raclette cheese but also goat cheese (for someone who doesn't like it, it's not cool not to mention it), and no bacon. I was given a knife that didn't cut. The supposedly delicious chicken supreme was a reheated dish that must have been from the day before. Very disappointed…

01/01/2026: Historic creperie!!! You're welcomed into a historic home with the husband cooking in the kitchen.

23/12/2025: Avoid at all costs!!! They left halfway through the meal, leaving with an empty, cold galette. I got sick after eating... That's it!

17/01/2026: Five stars! A wonderful discovery! I've been coming to this resort for over 20 years and I just discovered this place! We'll be back every year! The manager is incredibly kind! Fresh and original products! A sheep's cheese fondue! Homemade desserts! Very little wait! Just thank you for the warm welcome and your generosity! We were a group of 13 and we had a fantastic time! See you next year!

28/09/2025: We had just come from an 8-hour motorcycle trip and arrived at the restaurant shortly before 9 p.m. Despite closing at 10 p.m., they wouldn't let us in because they said the kitchen was already closed. We asked them for something cold to eat, and they said no. It was clear that they didn't want foreigners... clearly.

24/05/2025: Nice tradional French restaurant vibe interior. Sunny protected terrace outside. On the sharp bend of a narrow street. Very pleasant and responsive service. Large portions, especially the lasagna. I would gladly dine there again.

14/05/2025: A neighborhood restaurant that's become our canteen. It's in its original form, but that's what makes it so charming. Relaxed. The food is good and reasonably priced.

27/08/2024: During a stop in Montfrin, we discovered the Magenta restaurant, a place that deserves to be highlighted for its warm welcome and its shaded terrace, ideal for a pleasant lunch break. We were looking for somewhere to eat quickly, and Magenta met our expectations perfectly. The burger we ordered was very decent, well prepared and tasty, while the Caesar salad turned out to be excellent, with fresh ingredients and careful presentation. The setting of the restaurant, with its relaxed atmosphere and terrace, added to the pleasure of the meal, making this midday stopover a completely satisfying experience. For those passing through Montfrin, the Magenta restaurant is a safe choice for a quick and pleasant lunch.
