21/09/2026: A very good restaurant near Foch Cathedral. The menu changes regularly according to the seasons, always using local products. The service was excellent and we had a very good meal. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the music was great! I recommend this restaurant if you want to eat local food in a small group.

16/08/2026: A lovely French brasserie experience Chez Pitou is exactly what you want from a French brasserie: uncomplicated, classic, and done the way it should be. The service was great, friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening. The food is typically brasserie-style, without trying to be overly complicated or fancy. Simple French dishes, good ingredients, and the kind of food that works perfectly with a good bottle of wine. What really stood out was the overall value for money. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and experience, making Chez Pitou a place I would happily return to.

06/09/2026: July 2026: Year-end update A beautiful evolution on the plate. Still as refined, but so much more indulgent. Some slightly more unusual combinations. Truly delicious. Service even better than before. We can finally give it a glowing recommendation 😉 March 2025: There's a lot to say, both good and bad. First, the dining room. Cold and drab. We were the second couple to arrive, and we felt like we were sitting in a train station waiting room... Once full, it was very noisy! Then, the service. Excellent. The staff is very approachable, pleasant, and attentive. Finally, the meal. We were a little disappointed for a 2-Michelin-starred restaurant with a €200 menu. Nothing was wrong or bad, of course, but the flavors were rather mild and all quite classic. Even though the result was very good, nothing truly exceptional. Special mention, however, goes to the cheese (what a plate! 😜), the frog leg accompaniment, and the pigeon. Ultimately, we had a good meal, but we find it difficult to recommend the restaurant to our foodie friends.

The interior is relatively small and simply decorated, giving the feeling of a chef inviting friends over for a meal at his home. Tablecloth-less wooden tables create a relaxed and informal atmosphere. 🎗️ The chef presents his dishes under the motto "Keep it simple - keep it good," minimizing unnecessary elements, focusing on balanced plating, and emphasizing the quality of the ingredients. Each dish has a light flavor profile and avoids the heavy buttery elements found in classic restaurants. For the beginning of 2026, the restaurant presents a Tasting Menu called Menu Joyeux, utilizing daily available ingredients. Starting with the lunch-only Menu Envie ($80), consisting of a Starter, Main Course, and Dessert, with the option to add a cheese course for €22; the next is Menu Essence ($160), served both lunch and dinner, comprising 3 courses, Cheese, and Dessert; and finally, Menu Partage ($220), also served both lunch and dinner, consisting of 4 courses, Cheese, and 2 Desserts. Some highlight dishes include: ✨ Lamb Perfectly grilled lamb on a barbecue, paired with artichoke and fried leeks, and a rich Jus sauce. Diced Vaucluse truffles are added, with a thin layer of grated truffle on top. (16/20) ✨ Dessert The main dessert is a variety of rhubarb dishes, infused with the fragrant aroma of lavender. The bottom layer is a cream served with a texture similar to panna cotta (17/20). 🎗️ Takao Takano is one of the most popular restaurants in Lyon. All the dishes have accessible flavors and diverse elements. The prices are very reasonable, making it hard to find a comparable restaurant elsewhere. There's a decent selection of wines. However, due to the limited number of staff, service may be a bit slow. 05/09/2026: We came as a group of 10 on a Saturday evening. The welcome was fantastic, the traditional cuisine was just what we like, the decor was lovely, and the staff were warm and friendly! Highly recommended!

08/10/2026: When I made the reservation, I requested the quietest room. We ended up being seated in the noisiest one, between the drinks, food, seafood, and barbecue buffets, with music playing in the background. The result: a noisy meal with a constant stream of customers serving themselves. But the most unbelievable part was the bill: a total of €261 and a charge of €2,610! That's ten times the actual amount. On-site, there was no solution. We were assured that the owner would call us on Monday to resolve the issue. Monday: nothing. Despite our calls, still nothing. We were finally reimbursed on Tuesday, with only a screenshot of the transfer as proof. Not a word of apology, not the slightest gesture of goodwill, no consideration whatsoever for the inconvenience caused. Mistakes happen, but the way they handled them speaks volumes about their customer service. A very poor experience.

06/10/2026: We came for the second time this weekend. The atmosphere is very friendly, you can tell the team gets along really well. The products are high quality, with plenty of choice and delicious flavors.

27/09/2026: An excellent dinner with two glasses of Burgundy wine accompanying our courses. The dishes were beautifully presented (fish and meat) and were as delicious as they were pleasing to the eye. The service was extremely friendly and professional. And the desserts were the icing on the cake! A must-visit in Épinal if you want to treat your taste buds! The price of the meal is entirely justified by the quality of the cuisine and the excellent ingredients used by the chef and his sous-chef. The team is family-run, with father and son in the kitchen while mother and daughter-in-law manage the front of house and service.

03/07/2026: I've lived in Paris for years, and yet this is the first time I've fallen in love with a place! The waiter, who's also the manager, prepared delicious and anything but boring mocktails. The decor makes the place perfect for getting closer. If you see this review, don't hesitate any longer! Let's go! ;)

15/09/2026: ⭐ 1/5 – Extremely disappointing experience I entered Auberge l’Espérance after speaking with the bartender, who told me that the restaurant was open. I sat down, and shortly afterwards a woman came over and asked whether I had a reservation. I explained that I did not, as I had just arrived in the village. She told me that they could not serve me because the restaurant was “full”. What was difficult to understand was that both there were several empty tables, inside and outside. I even asked if I could at least order something to take away, but I was refused again. I was polite throughout the entire interaction, yet I was given no real explanation and no alternative. I cannot say for certain what the reason for the refusal was, but the way I was treated made me feel discriminated against and unwelcome. As a visitor from another country, this was an extremely unpleasant experience. If the restaurant was genuinely fully booked, I would have completely understood. But when there are empty tables, you are refused even takeaway food, and you are not given a reasonable explanation, it is difficult not to question why you were treated this way. I would not recommend this place.
