07/02/2026: A very warm welcome. Pleasant service. Friendly waitresses. We ordered a main course and dessert (fish, wild boar, and beef fillet). Impeccable cooking, delicious side dishes. The gourmet coffee was fantastic and the panna cotta was superb. It was an excellent lunch. Thank you!

21/02/2026: Fantastic experience at the Auberge des Montauds! We stayed in the family room, which was perfect for a family of four. We also really enjoyed the evening meal with the half-board option. The parking lot was cleared of snow in the morning, but given the location, you should be prepared with appropriate equipment depending on the forecast (winter tires, snow socks, etc.). It must be a lovely experience in the summer too. We'll be back! 🤗

15/02/2026: This crepe shop completely redefines my definition of "delicious." It's my number one crepe shop so far. This time I ordered the classic savory buckwheat crepe (Complète tomato), the edges of which were crispy and the wheat flavor was rich; the sweet crepe was even more exquisitely crafted. Paired with a bowl of Brittany apple sparkling wine (Cidre), it truly enriched my life.

01/02/2026: We came this Saturday at lunchtime to eat a galette, thinking we'd get something good quickly. The service was good and they were responsive. However, 30 minutes for our two galettes to come out of the kitchen is far too long. Given the wait, we didn't order dessert. It was quite good, but not extraordinary compared to other crêperies in Rennes. Furthermore, the salad served on top of the galette ruined it; you couldn't even see your plate. We'll go somewhere else next time.

The service was good and the staff were friendly, but the food was a letdown. Most of the dishes were underwhelming—not terrible, but lacking the spark you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The only standouts were the bread and the smoked tuna. The rest felt forgettable. The pork dish was especially disappointing: it didn’t taste good, the sauce was too salty, and the pork itself was tough and dry—fully cooked but not tender, with no clear flavor or concept behind it. It left us wondering what the restaurant was trying to highlight with this seasonal menu. In France, many places use local ingredients with excellent results. Unfortunately, L’Oiseau Bleu didn’t deliver that same level of thought or taste. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. Dk why google took me review down.
