30/09/2026: I've always enjoyed coming to this restaurant, which I found very cozy, with quality ingredients. So I was looking forward to returning this evening after a while away. What a disappointment… The butcher's cut I ordered was extremely tough, to the point of being practically inedible. But it was especially the attitude of some of the staff that disappointed me. While Esteban was very professional, Gabriel and Roberto's behavior seemed completely inappropriate. Gentlemen, when you make fun of some of your customers, at least show some discretion… This kind of attitude is particularly unpleasant for the other diners. It's a real shame, because I had a very good impression of this establishment. But after this experience, I unfortunately won't be returning.

11/09/2026: A slightly different menu, and that's a good thing. The tuna was delicious and beautifully presented; the sea bream tartare was good but could have benefited from a bit more character. A few details are missing, like the delightful madeleines that used to accompany the coffee. It's a subtle change that stands out and is noticed by customers. The service remains as warm and professional as ever.

08/09/2026: Charming little mountain lake, well worth the climb! It's best to bring your own water (Coke is €5). The rules are ignored by people who clearly don't care about common courtesy! It's deplorable (dogs not on leashes...ours was).

27/09/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⚓🌊 Les Copains d'Abord in La Ciotat, a truly wonderful place with a Mediterranean atmosphere! A fantastic discovery during our visit to La Ciotat. The place lives up to its name: a friendly, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a great time in the South of France. 🍽️ We had a very pleasant time. The welcome was friendly, the service pleasant, and the ambiance perfectly matches what you're looking for when you come to enjoy La Ciotat: taking your time, eating well, and appreciating the surroundings. La Ciotat is also worth exploring: its port, its charming streets, its seafront, and of course, the magnificent surrounding landscapes offer plenty to fill your day. 🌊 After your meal, I highly recommend taking a stroll along the coast or the port. For photography enthusiasts like myself, the Mediterranean light and landscapes around La Ciotat offer wonderful opportunities, especially at the end of the day. 📸 I'll definitely remember this place for its friendly atmosphere and pleasant setting. It's the kind of place you come to primarily to have a good time and enjoy the holiday spirit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly wonderful experience in La Ciotat, I highly recommend Les Copains d'Abord!

12/10/2026: I was very disappointed with this experience. Working in retail myself, I can certainly understand that mistakes happen; no one is immune to clumsiness. However, what I absolutely cannot understand is the owners' reaction to finding a worm in my food. Instead of taking the situation seriously, they chose to laugh it off, explaining that it was "protein," that "it crunches," and that, in any case, their reputation had already been built. Basically, whether I was unhappy or not didn't really matter. I find this attitude particularly inappropriate and disrespectful to customers. To top it all off, the men at the table were also disappointed with their Irish Coffees, which apparently contained no whiskey. The waitress's response was equally inappropriate: "You've probably already had so much you can't taste anything!" A frankly borderline and completely inappropriate remark to customers. Admittedly, after some negotiation, my meal was eventually offered free of charge, but that doesn't change how the situation was handled. A gesture of goodwill is no substitute for respect or professionalism. To make matters worse, the waitress was particularly unpleasant, which only compounded our disappointment. An incident can happen in any establishment. What makes the difference is how you react: acknowledging the problem, apologizing, and respecting your customers. Unfortunately, we were mostly subjected to inappropriate jokes and contemptuous remarks. A very disappointing experience, both in terms of the service and the management's behavior. We don't come to a restaurant to be treated condescendingly when we point out a problem, but to have a good time and be treated with respect. It's a shame because the place itself is really lovely!

27/08/2026: Do NOT get the beef tartare here. It will not be kind to your stomach, could tell it looked off as soon it arrived. Otherwise this place is nice for drinks but avoid that dish.

10/10/2026: There were three of us… outraged! We were offered the daily specials on a cut-out piece of paper: Starter: Foie gras / Main: Beef Chateaubriand: €36 / Reading it, you'd think foie gras AND Chateaubriand were one and the same on the menu… to our astonishment: the foie gras was an extra €15, listed NOWHERE. The only response: "Yes, it's a mistake, we should have written it down"!!!!!!!! In short, a complete rip-off. I don't recommend it… and the menus are dirty and worn. We used to love this brasserie, but we'll avoid it now.

26/09/2026: Not bad, but quite expensive and the service is very slow, making it a mediocre choice for a lunch break.

01/09/2026: Finally, a restaurant just the way I like them! No fries, just fresh, seasonal produce. A warm welcome and quick service. For two people (starter, main course, dessert, sparkling water, and coffees), it came to €52. That's a little more than two McDonald's meals. Just ask the waitress for seconds, and they arrive. A lovely surprise on our holiday road trip! We'll be back!

22/10/2026: Very frankly disappointed. I had a reservation for 9 pm, and upon arrival, they made me wait 15 minutes. At 9:15 pm, they told me to go inside and wait at the bar, but that I would be seated at 9:30 pm. I left and came back at 9:45 pm, same scenario. In the end, I wasn't seated until 10 pm! Great estimate of the time! 😉 On top of that, no gesture of goodwill during the meal. Their customer service needs a complete overhaul from beginning to end! 😳 First and last time for me! Good food, but not the meal of the year!

21/10/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant where the chef puts his heart into every dish. The tastes and flavors are carefully crafted to delight the customers. While the service is very friendly and pleasant, it could benefit from a touch more professionalism in a restaurant of this caliber. Just a notch above in terms of training and confidence (subjective advice).

Professional and friendly, they readily chatted and laughed with the customers. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Special mention to Fred and JC for their warm welcome and smiles.
