12/12/2025: Magnificent setting on the ramparts of Old Antibes, superb panoramic views, and an idyllic terrace. The waitress was also very friendly and polite; no complaints there. However… a huge disappointment with the pastis. I paid €6, and it was served in such a tiny measure that it felt like I was drinking a simple glass of water lightly flavored with anise. The color was lighter than light—almost transparent. For an establishment in such a prime location, one expects at least a decent measure, not a ghostly pastis. It's a shame; the place deserves better. A little more generosity in the glasses, and the experience would truly live up to the setting.

29/11/2025: Bad experience this morning. Two servers were completely overwhelmed, and my order was never served after a good half-hour wait and having to ask twice. Meanwhile, many other customers who arrived much later were able to have their drinks. Too bad, we wanted to eat there afterwards.

16/01/2026: We've been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The quality and quantity of the meat are excellent, and the cooking over an open fire is perfectly executed. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. When I see some negative comments about the staff, I can say that we have always been warmly welcomed each time. Perhaps some people should reflect on their attitude! I commend the entire team, and a huge bravo for the homemade desserts—they were delicious. We will be back!

15/01/2026: The beef and all the meat dishes are excellent ❤️❤️❤️. The waitresses and service are efficient 👍 I can't wait to come back 😀

11/12/2025: I would quite genuinely like to meet Paul in person, simply to thank them for creating the most extraordinary éclairs I have ever tasted. Truly—wow. I have never encountered an éclair quite like this in my life. The chocolate was exquisitely rich, the cream inside wonderfully smooth and sublime, and the entire pastry felt like a small piece of dessert-making genius. The price was very reasonable, the shop impeccably clean and smart, and even the payment process felt refined and effortless. At this point, “Paul” has become a name I’ve grown rather fond of—almost as though we’ve embarked on a one-sided friendship built entirely on exceptional pastries. A delightful experience all around, and one I would happily repeat.

11/01/2026: The setting is old-fashioned and noisy, but above all, outrageously expensive for lunch! €40 for a fish. And if you have the misfortune of sharing it, they'll charge you an extra €13 for a very basic appetizer. We won't be back. These exorbitant prices put us off ordering dessert. What a shame.

20/12/2025: Located on the corner near the Town Hall, it was a place we used to go regularly with colleagues. Unfortunately, on three occasions, we had problems with the food. The first time, we had to change our dish due to a freshness issue, which the chef disputed despite our complaint. Another time, we had the same problem with fish. The day we finally gave up on it, we waited over 30 minutes for ice cream we had ordered at lunchtime, when our time was limited, only to find out they were out. We left and never went back. It's a shame, because the place itself is quite nice.

03/10/2025: The establishment stands out for its warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. The staff is particularly attentive and pleasant. ​However, the culinary experience was uneven. While some of the à la carte offerings (starters, main courses, and desserts) are of a very high standard and fully justify their price, several others have high prices that are clearly disproportionate to the quality served.

08/12/2024: Terrible coffee. It was like water and I got charged 2.80EUR for one ristretto. Other places charge 1.50EUR max and the coffee is better! Avoid!

10/12/2025: Arrived on the go at 1:00 PM. I was greeted warmly and served quickly. Lunch took an hour. The restaurant was packed. A victim of its own success. Traditional, home-style cooking that was delicious. The welcome, food, and service were impeccable. I recommend the chocolate mousse with coffee. This establishment will be one of my favorites whenever I'm in the area.

03/12/2025: If I could give a ZERO, I would. We booked for 12:10 for two adults and one child. Ordering and getting drinks took over half an hour, and the wait for our meal was over 50 minutes, even though I ordered the daily special (starter: green salad + cod) + two ravioli dishes. When we complained, the waitress cheekily replied, "We do what we can." No way! If you're just trying to fill the restaurant and you can't even bring a piece of green salad in under 5 minutes, I don't see why you work in the restaurant industry. I'm not going to lecture you... The worst part is that my daughter was the only child in the restaurant. You could have at least made an effort to bring her food... Frankly, I was very disappointed with the service, and it was past 1:00 PM and the food hadn't arrived. When we went to pay for the drinks, the cashier didn't even apologize. She just kept saying it was because of the ravioli, that it was normal. Oh yes, thanks for the information.

16/12/2024: Second visit, the restaurant which has parking, was exceptionally open on this Saturday, so we were able to enjoy the view and a good lunch indoors. A young and friendly team, tasty dishes. My only regret is not having had the desserts listed by the waitress with my gourmet coffee, 10€ :( We will come back in fine weather to enjoy the outdoors.

15/12/2024: Good cuisine, room with a very pleasant view of the Etang de Berre. The price-performance ratio is really good.

25/09/2024: I deeply feel suspicious of how the Michelin judges rate this restaurant as Michelin Guide... Perhaps Michelin should re-select more professional judges to rate this restaurant! For anyone who wants to try this restaurant, I suggest that you should go to other restaurants nearby. Croque Jeune Homme, the taste is pretty good, but one thing that bothers me was the bread was so burnt... I understand that you cooked this with butter; however, as a professional chef, you should know that high heat would burnt the bread, even though you wanna aim for the crunchiness. Angus Beef Ribeye, the worst beef dish we've ever had, compare to any restaurants in France, Canada, US, & even Hong Kong! I have no idea who the hell rate this restaurant as one of the Michelin Guide restaurants?! This dish is 55€ per person. We left 1/3 of chewy tendon & overcooked beef on the brass plate & plates, which my mom & I couldn't able to eat. It's like chewing a rubber band. I can’t believe I’ve spent 110€ on this lousy dish!!! Message for Chef Jean Kurtz, although I've learned French cooking in US & have tried many top decent French restaurants. Besides a long wait for the dishes, your dishes are far worse than what I was expected! We are NOT the only customers complained to your two servers, who were ONLY busy serving a big party downstairs & ignored the rest of the customers (upstairs) in your restaurant! Compare to other restaurants who were serving dinner on a Wednesday evening, your restaurant wasn't as packed or busy as other restaurants. It’s a shame that your culinary skills seemed going down the hill.

25/09/2024: It’s a shame to give this restaurant three stars because the cuisine and presentation were both solid. I had the foie gras as a starter and the beef tartare as a main. My wife got the salmon with a side salad, and it came with mashed potatoes. We ordered a grand cru Riesling which was excellent. While the menu is limited, the restaurant offers an extensive although pricey wine list. The problem came when we were finished with the meal we wanted desserts and champagne but we sat for over thirty minutes with completely empty glasses - no water or wine - while being intentionally ignored by our server. This wasn’t a case of picky Americans in a rush. We were happy to linger but it was overly obvious they were short staffed or didn’t care. It ruined what could have been a perfect evening. Now we know why this place gets 4 stars and not more.

09/02/2026: If i could review a zero star i would. I had booked through booking.com about 3 weeks prior to the stay. Unfortunately due to a bereavement in the family we couldnt travel. I had booked the non cancellation booking, but was hoping that they would take a sympathetic view in view of the circumstance and the fact that we were trying to cancel 2 weeks prior to the stay. Booking.com kindly tried to contact them, with no reply, I contacted them on their email address and again no reply. Needless to say monies were taken straight from my account on the due day. So funny how communication was ok in this instance. Its been a very stressful time and this has just added to the stress. I have never had such poor communiation in a hotel as much as this. WOULD NEVER EVER STAY IN THE HOTEL. DO NOT RECOMMEND

23/01/2026: The room was stuck in the 80s. Single-glazed windows, impossible to heat, TV signal loss frequent, hot water inconsistent, toilet with poor drainage, cracked bathtub, and poor lighting in the bathroom. A shame, because the reception and restaurant were friendly.

09/07/2025: A customer of this Nice specialty restaurant for over 10 years, I was very disappointed on Friday, July 4, 2025 to be served 5 defrosted shrimps when I ordered a prawn skewer. So 2 small bites to peel and dry. Snail butter on my goat cheese.......very disappointed! And the staff was off the mark....it's no longer the address I knew

07/07/2025: Excellent service! The waiters, Thomas and Robert, were very nice and very accommodating! They had a fantastic sense of humor, and the happy hour was definitely worth it! The food was delicious and the value for money was definitely good! I highly recommend it!

09/06/2025: The facilities are excellent for a 3-star campsite (swimming pool, games, etc.) But the chalets are in disrepair. Old, dirty, the rooms are full of light from sunrise, and above all, there's no soundproofing! I can't wait to get home and rest...

22/09/2024: I have to leave a review. The main guy is super friendly, and so are the waiters, full of energy and always doing their job with love and sophistication. Food was top. I have eaten a lot of (good) steaks in my life and I have added this to my top 5 list of restaurant. Amazing ambiance. Everything fits together. Also good wine.
