07/06/2026: We received a very warm welcome, the meal was excellent and plentiful, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean. We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

04/06/2026: We stayed here two years ago. The hotel room in the main building was okay, but otherwise nothing special. This time, however, we stayed in the significantly higher-quality annex in the only room with a great balcony terrace. The rooms next to it were mostly (completely) in the shade. We were looking forward to dinner, but since we had to wait over an hour (in addition to the already lengthy order taking) without being offered even a small piece of bread or anything similar, we were satisfied, but nothing more. Breakfast: The fried eggs were cold, and there was little choice, as the staff's attention wasn't exactly focused on replenishing the food. On the second morning, at 8:30 a.m., there weren't even the bare necessities left (coffee, bread) because the previous group had apparently already eaten everything. Since they had left some time ago, this wasn't a plausible excuse. Furthermore, they should know how many guests are present and have a corresponding supply on hand. The service was friendly, but not customer-oriented. For the price, we'll find different accommodation next time.

17/07/2026: Discovered during a No Diet Club excursion with the wonderful local guide Caroline, we loved this place. Great menu, great wine cellar. Our appetizer platters were delicious. Highly recommended! We will definitely return on our next visit to Biarritz.

10/05/2026: A pleasant and comfortable stopover with delicious food (Sisteron leg of lamb)

10/05/2026: The hotel itself is charming and full of character, but unfortunately the dining experience fell far below expectations. We chose the tasting menu and ended up leaving multiple dishes unfinished — something that should raise questions in a Michelin-starred restaurant. Just to mention two examples, the asparagus sorbet was honestly terrible, and the trout course (which replaced the scallops listed on the menu, without anyone bothering to explain the change) was particularly underwhelming. Service was polite, though not especially attentive for this category: no bread plates, butter initially forgotten despite asking, and water bottles not refilled unless explicitly requested each time. On a positive note, the lavender and honey dessert was excellent, the bread very good, and the wine selection well curated. Overall, the gap between the reputation, the actual experience, and the price paid felt too large. A restaurant with such history and legacy deserves more consistency, and Michelin recognition should continue to be earned at the plate.

15/02/2026: Initially, we booked a one-night stay without expecting much. In the end, we were very pleasantly surprised by the place in several ways. The decor is tasteful and welcoming; we felt right at home. The spa and hammam area is ideally laid out and perfectly romantic for couples. The room we had was clean, spacious, and functional. A truly relaxing getaway—we highly recommend it!
