06/07/2026: **Rating: 5/5 – A magical interlude and exceptional dining!** Honestly, excellent! The hotel truly lives up to its name and reputation; it's a standard worthy of a superb 4-star establishment. I was lucky enough to go when it was practically empty, which made the experience magical, as if the spa were private. My absolute favorite: the outdoor jacuzzi nestled in the heart of the forest—it was simply magnificent. The rest of the facilities (sauna, hammam) are impeccably clean. A big thank you also for the complimentary tea room, which offers a wide selection of delicious local and artisanal teas. The service is very responsive: the kettle was out of order that day, and I was immediately brought a beautiful cast-iron teapot with a smile. A huge congratulations to the chef of "La Table de François," who deserves a gold trophy! I highly recommend dining there: the cuisine is exceptional, with unique flavors I've never tasted anywhere else, all at unbeatable prices. A huge thank you to the entire kitchen team and the servers, you're all fantastic! My only slight criticism concerns the hotel reception, which could be clearer: the room key card system is a bit confusing, and more details about the spa could be provided (specifying that there's no need to bring a bathrobe as everything is provided, but that you should bring your own slippers as they are not). You leave feeling completely refreshed. I recommend it 200%, an exceptional stay!

27/06/2026: The service was very good. The setting is nice for those like us who appreciate the old-fashioned. The only downside is the price (€170 for 3). I found the portion size a bit small, and a little more decoration on the foie gras plate would have been a real plus, as we had the impression that the three (thin) slices of foie gras were simply thrown onto the plate. Two salad leaves and a piece of tomato would have garnished the plate more cheaply and would have been better. Otherwise, everything was very good.

11/06/2026: We discovered a gem in Vitrac, a haven of tranquility, with unique and very charming accommodations. The owner is a remarkable and attentive person. We had to leave due to health reasons, but we promised ourselves we'd return to finish our trip through this magnificent region of Cantal. In short, I won't tell you everything; you'll have to discover this place for yourselves, which we highly recommend.

18/07/2026: It's a disgrace! The toilets are outside the gaming area. When I left, I wanted to use them, but I was literally refused entry under the pretext that I wasn't going to gamble again afterward, even though I had made a purchase there. Denying access to the toilets under these circumstances is unacceptable. Well done, you managed to ruin in two seconds the whole good experience I was leaving with, all for something so basic.

19/07/2026: We went there as a family last night—three children and two adults, my new partner and myself. I chose this restaurant because they accepted holiday vouchers and also because of the discount on the menu, despite the negative Google reviews. We arrived on Saturday evening when they opened and left after 10 p.m., not because of slow service, but thanks to our wonderful waiter who understood our approach, which was to take our time at the end of our vacation. Some recent Google reviews try to portray the waiters at this restaurant as unprofessional, but once we were there, in this restaurant in a small Alsatian village, we received better service than in 5-star establishments. Let me explain: - Impeccable service, exceeding our expectations, with only one waiter for a full terrace: fresh glasses with ice for every order... A discreet waiter who was always attentive to our needs. A thousand thanks. - No wedele due to a rare supply issue, but a perfect replacement dish—a piece of beef, which is never easy to find. - The desserts: my usually picky children loved them. We promise we'll be back. Thank you for such a delightful experience in every sense of the word.

26/04/2026: The creamy escalopes were okay. The owner needs to work on his smile, which is a shame. There were only about twenty people there. He makes his living thanks to the customers, don't forget that, sir. I was invited, but personally, I won't be making the trip. So let's smile at life... A restaurant is supposed to be relaxing; if it isn't, let's stay home. We're supposed to cook for ourselves.

22/05/2026: The staff were extremely unpleasant. Politeness is clearly not in their vocabulary. At the prices they charge these days, a smile and a decent appetite wouldn't be out of place. The tables weren't even cleaned.

21/05/2026: My Happy Meal didn't have a toy… Once again, McDonald's let me down. I paid for the whole meal, got soggy fries, a lukewarm burger, and zero toys. That's not a Happy Meal, that's a Sad Meal.

21/07/2026: There is a very beautiful view of the sea at sunset, but we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food. THIS IS WAY TOO LONG AND NOT OKAY; people who came after us got their food earlier… because of this, we had a very bad experience.

27/05/2026: The service was very friendly and relaxed, yet efficient. The main courses and starters were excellent, and the fries were homemade! Special mention goes to the artisanal ice cream; I especially loved the raspberry and pear flavors.

30/07/2026: We had a lovely time at Brasserie La Terrasse in Noirmoutier. The service was pleasant and the food very good; we thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. The terrace offers a beautiful view, which makes the meal even more enjoyable. One small drawback: the drink selection is rather limited, especially for aperitifs, with no cocktails or mocktails available. We therefore recommend this place for a good meal and a pleasant setting, but if an aperitif is important to you, it's best to be aware of this before you go.
