Sometimes, unexpected things might happen, but what matters then also is how relevant stakeholders deal with the situation and they did outstanding.. Merci beaucoup.

19/04/2026: Frankly disappointed, starting with a cold welcome, except apparently for regulars, as we observed. Prices are very high considering the neighborhood... more expensive than at Bebert, a Moroccan restaurant in Montparnasse, where the quality is excellent with a much larger portion size, all in a beautiful setting, not to mention the neighborhood. We won't be back.

31/08/2026: We visit the bar every few years and had another wonderful evening there yesterday. I can't agree with the negative reviews from the German complainers at all: the food is excellent, the view is beautiful. You do have to make a reservation, like everywhere else in France. And yes, your feet are sometimes in the wet sand because it is, after all, a beach bar. I find it refreshing and unique. Therefore, I don't understand the complaints in the reviews at all. You can always find a parking space, and dogs are welcome. The staff speaks excellent English, and some also speak German. Regarding the food: this year I was particularly surprised by the top quality. I had tuna, and the others had chicken sandwiches.

11/09/2026: A lovely lunch with the girls on the terrace today, September 11th, with pleasant late-summer weather before heading out for some Friday shopping and a leisurely stroll through Caen. As always, the welcome was warm, the foie gras was excellent, and the beef fillet was cooked to perfection. The fries and a good salad completed the beautiful dish. No room for dessert today... what a shame! But there'll be room for next time! Le Buquet's is a sure bet for lunch or dinner, with the added bonus of a friendly, cozy, and genuinely warm atmosphere.

23/08/2026: Friendly welcome but bland food. Tomato and mozzarella tart: industrial pastry, no seasoning, tasteless tomato drowned in mozzarella. Bland fish, creamy shallot sauce but ultimately very diluted consistency, same with the Camembert sauce accompanying the rump steak (very tender though). In short, not very expensive, but not great.

17/07/2026: Excellent quality food, lovely terrace, smiling and energetic waitresses (Sandra and Valérie were fantastic). A truly delightful experience that I'll definitely repeat.

26/05/2026: The rooms were filthy and dirty. They hadn't been cleaned. Only the linens had been changed, thankfully. There was a smell of wet dog in the room. The mirrors and windows were dirty, there were unidentifiable stains on the carpet, hair in the shower, and unidentifiable water stains on the walls and floor of the toilet. The toilet cistern cover and toilet brush holder were broken, and all surfaces were sticky and uncleaned. The street was quite noisy, but it was either that or suffocate from the awful smell. I almost forgot the thought that came to me when I saw that the fitted sheet was inside out… was that intentional or a mistake? (No answer expected) The atmosphere was reminiscent of The Shining. We were offered breakfast, coffee/tea, or juice as an apology, but it was absolutely unappealing given the state of the room and everything else. Even though the price wasn't exorbitant per person, it's a far cry from the concept of a hotel where you want to feel at home, or even better, but certainly not worse. Awful. The staff feigned surprise at our experience during check-out, but at this point, they need acting lessons to make us believe it even a little. We didn't see any other guests in the hotel, so a more decent room would have been welcome.

31/10/2026: What can I say...? Unlimited fries? Really? Because during our visit, to a nearly empty restaurant, we only got fries once, and they arrived almost 10 minutes after our food was served. I asked for more fries, which never came. Twenty minutes after asking, when the waiter started clearing the plates, still nothing in sight. Furthermore, I don't go to a restaurant to pay for sausage that's over two weeks past its expiration date. Luckily, it wasn't charged to the bill. Otherwise, the food was good. The meat was cooked as intended. But the fries, while homemade, were overcooked. There was absolutely no atmosphere in the restaurant. No background music, nothing. At times, you could have heard a pin drop. Finally, the service was truly mediocre. One waiter seemed completely lost, and there was no communication between the two other waiters. Not even with the food, perhaps, given the oversights. We were happy to come and eat, but we left more than disappointed and we certainly won't be back.

18/10/2026: I found the fries to be of lower quality, too greasy. As for the diot in white wine sauce, it was truly disappointing; the diot was undercooked and the white wine should have been forgotten. The sauce was really bad and the diot was tasteless. It's a real shame. On the other hand, the waitress was very friendly.
