31/03/2026: €7 for a Desperados beer that sells for €1.20 at Carrefour, and not even a glass, straight from the bottle! Even on the Champs-Élysées it's not that expensive! I understand that bars need to make a profit, but this... is that serious?

25/05/2026: I'm posting this comment because I don't understand these people who systematically criticize restaurants, and by extension, restaurant owners and their employees. I've eaten several times at La Peau Vache in Val d'Isère, both for family meals and business lunches, and I've never been disappointed. Perhaps these people who constantly criticize should change their approach to the staff and take into account the challenges of working in the restaurant industry. As for me, I've always been very well received and served. I highly recommend this establishment; the decor is exceptional, and the location is simply magnificent. A big thank you to the entire team for your professionalism and dedication.

19/07/2026: A very bad experience. I strongly advise against this restaurant. The quality of the food seemed very concerning, and I had serious doubts about the freshness of the meat served. The hygiene and organization also left a very bad impression. I was also shocked by the way some employees seemed to be treated by the owner, who herself is already incompetent and unhelpful. Based on my experience, I will not be returning and I do not recommend it.

06/07/2026: The pepperoni pizza is €22.90 with only 6 tiny pieces of pepper 🌶️! Very, very expensive! And the coffee is €3.50. A total of €26.40. Horribly expensive!

13/05/2026: We had booked a table for 10 people at this restaurant for a bachelorette party, after making sure to ask beforehand if there would be any atmosphere. We were assured there would be a DJ. Two days before, we finally received a text message informing us that the DJ would be absent. I then contacted them again to ask if there would still be music, making it clear that it was a bachelorette party and that we wanted a festive evening. I was told that there wouldn't be any problem and that they would play music. On the day, huge disappointment: we arrived and learned that we would be the only customers in the restaurant that evening. No atmosphere, no anticipation, nothing. You should have warned us that there would be no one there and no festive atmosphere. A bachelorette party isn't something you do every weekend. There's no point in saying we should have asked for music: it's not up to the guests to control the atmosphere of an evening, especially after all the assurances given before booking. When you host guests for such an important event, you do everything you can to ensure they have a good time. So we dined alone, in dim lighting, with several dishes unavailable on the menu. A very bad experience and a huge disappointment.

22/06/2026: A small, simple, and authentic establishment, run with passion in the heart of the village. We were so glad to find it open on a Monday, after driving around for over an hour in several villages where everything was closed or on holiday. Thank you for your warm welcome. The menu is varied, and the dishes are colorful and appetizing. We ate very well; we couldn't have asked for more: it was perfect. A big thank you also to the entire team for their courage and hard work in the intense heat to ensure we had a wonderful meal. A huge thank you and best of luck! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

17/07/2026: I received a very warm welcome at the till from a very friendly and professional young woman. The mussels and fries were delicious, the service was excellent, the dining room was spotless, nothing to complain about – it was a pleasure to eat here.

16/07/2026: Same old story. All the all-you-can-eat menus are no longer available. Please display this information on your website. It would save unnecessary trips. I won't be going back.

14/07/2026: The manager gave us a cold welcome, and we had to find our own seats. The pizza was almost certainly frozen and definitely undercooked. The crepe was just passable, accompanied by a rather disappointing salad. The prices are reasonable considering the quality. Cleanliness needs improvement in some areas. On the plus side, the restaurant is air-conditioned. The waitress was much more friendly.

26/03/2026: The owner was extremely unpleasant and dishonest. He charged us for the entire meal even though we didn't order a starter, despite the waitress (his daughter) having suggested we could. His consolation prize? "I'll give you a free coffee," he said, "but that's not the price of a starter..." They both seemed to be arguing, but that's no excuse for treating customers like that. There are much nicer restaurants in the city center.

13/03/2026: We waited about 20 minutes on the terrace without our order being taken. The waitress probably forgot about us, which can happen. So I went to the bar to ask if we could order directly, but unfortunately, the reception wasn't very friendly. We left without ordering anything.

11/03/2026: We come to Les Angles on holiday and we come 3 to 4 times a week. The staff are very welcoming and always smiling; every time we come, it's a real pleasure from aperitif to dessert.

26/01/2026: We hadn't even tasted the food yet and we already wanted to leave. We were a table of 15 who were going to order a lot, but that didn't stop the servers from being unpleasant. It wasn't possible to make even the smallest change to the burgers despite our allergies. The waitress's responses were curt. We didn't feel welcome at all. 26/01/2026: An arrogant boss or manager who likes to badmouth his customers at the checkout; it's just awkward when you're standing right there. Personally, I won't be eating there again; there are far better restaurants in Vars where you get friendly service.

07/06/2026: Fine for one night, but no consideration when you stay an extra night; the room wasn't cleaned. It's a shame because the location and parking are a plus. Lack of supervision from the staff.

25/05/2026: Tiny room. No toilet paper. No shower gel, and not a single bath towel. We've already complained to reception three times. This is getting ridiculous! To top it all off, they put a mattress topper on the mattress. It's much smaller now, so the bottom sheet is completely overflowing! How are two people supposed to sleep in a messy bed? The staff are constantly chatting in the hallways. The receptionist apologizes, but this is just too much! What's more, the hotel's "private beach" is a patch of uncleaned sand. It looks like the outlet of a sewage canal. When you advertise services online, you have to make sure everything is top-notch! And clearly, there was no follow-up. Huge disappointment! The only positive point was the indoor pool and jacuzzi. A terrible experience. We won't be back.

12/07/2026: RUN AWAY!!! A disastrous meal… A closed terrace, despite being advertised as "full," a deplorable welcome, and staff interfering in our conversations… truly unbelievable. We have never experienced anything like it. Everything needs to be reviewed… both the service and the taste of the food. The photos on the website do NOT AT ALL reflect what we experienced that day. A dessert described as "a failure," but still charged €8. Absolutely no sense of customer service.

08/06/2026: What a wonderful welcome! Warm and friendly... I highly recommend this 2-star hotel and restaurant, which is worth 4 stars. The location is ideal, just steps from the sea and the town center. You sleep very well and the food is excellent. The owners—father, mother, and son—are incredibly kind. It feels like being with family! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

29/05/2026: A place discovered by chance, a place that exudes kindness, a place we highly recommend. A simple, fresh, and delicious meal, a very responsive team, a very attentive owner! We will definitely be back.

08/03/2026: I stopped at this establishment for a simple coffee, with the rather extravagant idea—I admit—of having a croissant with it. So I ordered a coffee and asked for a croissant. The waiter's response: "Sorry sir, we're all out. The other customers have taken them all." Very well. The national croissant shortage has clearly started here. A few minutes later, a customer came in, ordered a coffee… and two croissants. Immediate miracle: the waiter calmly brought him his coffee and two croissants, right to his table. A little surprised by this sudden bakery resurrection, I politely asked how this was possible. The very serious reply: "Oh, sir, these croissants were reserved." That's fascinating. So, if I understand correctly, a customer who clearly doesn't know the establishment, who walks in spontaneously, is able to reserve invisible croissants that other customers can't get. Interesting concept: here, croissants seem to be made on a case-by-case basis. For future visitors, I therefore recommend the following strategy: Come here for coffee, but bring your own croissants, and perhaps a pain au chocolat too, just to be safe. This will avoid any logistical disappointment. In short: a rather unique experience. A coffee shop… and an unexpected sociological spectacle. An establishment I don't recommend, unless you enjoy culinary mysteries.
