15/04/2026: 0/10 Regarding the welcome and service: I called this morning because we are hosting a Taiwanese delegation and would like each participant to leave with a Lyon specialty. Being familiar with VOISIN products, I called the République store in Lyon this morning, April 16, 2026, to get information on the different packaging options. I introduced myself on behalf of our association, and the person interrupted me, telling me to call headquarters for any sales calls and that I was calling a store... I replied that I was aware of this and that I had a purchase request. Without even apologizing, she asked me what I wanted. I hung up and called the Rue Grenette store, which provided me with excellent information and took my order. I have just read many very negative comments. It's pointless to say you're sorry for this behavior: do something about your staff; it's unacceptable that such awful people behave this way towards customers.

28/07/2026: We like to have a drink there when we're in the neighborhood. That day it was noon, and seeing the tempting plates our neighbors on the terrace were eating, we decided to have lunch there. We weren't disappointed at all, quite the opposite! We ordered two roast beef fillets with pepper sauce and fries, and it was delicious! We have no complaints about the waiter, who was efficient. The restrooms were very clean. As for the price, it's reasonable. If I'm disappointed next time, I'll be sure to mention it.

19/07/2026: Two waiters were pushy with young women, an inappropriate attitude considering we just wanted to enjoy a pleasant moment and have a coffee. It's 2026, and despite it being a long-established business, some things need to change!

15/07/2026: First and definitely last time I'll ever go to this bar/restaurant. Despite the crowds and the rush caused by the semi-final, and understanding the potential staff shortages and the heat, very little, if anything, was right. We ordered drinks and "homemade" pizzas that certainly didn't look homemade, since at 8:30 pm we were told they were out, and then at 10:30 pm they magically reappeared! Asking for water was probably the most daring request we could have made; they seemed more annoyed than anything else to serve us. Despite everything, the waiter made an effort to be friendly and did his best to salvage the service, which was absolutely not the case with the waitress's attitude. We had the very strong impression that we were bothering her, etc. (sloppy service, mistakes...). The atmosphere, which was supposed to be festive and pleasant, turned into a catastrophic social experience, in addition to the defeat against Spain.

14/07/2026: Grumpy waiters/warriors Complains about a glass of water when we're eating in 30°C heat Gets our order wrong Suggests "homemade" pizzas are obviously frozen because they ran out of pizza at 8:30 PM – unbelievable! Refused to let us take our food to watch the game. The table next to us was calmly eating their Subway when he told them, "You win," referring to the fact that we said no and they said yes. A waiter came over to speak to me (I didn't speak to him) to tell me that if I wasn't happy, I should leave. Honestly, avoid this place, and given the reviews, it's best to do your research before going. Oh, and sorry, I forgot, I paid €6.50 for a measly plate of fries with no sauce, no flavor, and a small piece of metal in it. The prices are exorbitant. I didn't know you had to order friendliness in addition to drinks (not pizza, since they don't have any).

28/06/2026: Exorbitant wait times despite the empty terrace, an employee sitting at the bar, and this isn't the first time. So we switched bars and were served in 2 minutes, even though their terrace was packed. The waiter was rude, disrespectful, and insolent. You need to review your staff.

13/07/2026: A croissant at 1.50, one has the right to expect a quality croissant, but no, burnt underneath, almost like breadcrumbs inside.

10/07/2026: This is a bakery, not a restaurant. They offer various breads, focaccia, tarts, croissants, pain au chocolat, etc. Everything is delicious, so go there, but not for a meal.

27/06/2026: We asked if we could sit on the terrace, and they replied, "Yes, there are tables, that's what they're for." So we left! Clearly, the service is best avoided.

09/07/2026: Kitchen nightmare? More seriously, this is unprecedented for us. There were three of us, and we simply ordered two Strasbourg salads and one quiche Lorraine. My two friends each found three or four eggshells in their salads. The salad itself didn't seem to have been washed in either dish, and we preferred not to take any risks by not eating it. As for me, the quiche was doughy, made with a pre-packaged pastry base, and contained some highly questionable residue. This wasn't just a lack of appreciation for the food; we genuinely had to give up eating (including some of the raw vegetables and the salad, as mentioned earlier) because our health was at stake. We spoke to the man who appeared to be the owner: the cook had apparently been distracted. However, when we went to the restroom, we noticed that the other dishes coming out of the kitchen weren't any better. We don't usually make negative comments, but we really felt like we were in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares...

06/06/2026: As is so often the case: beautiful location, but terrible food. Two stars for the food is a fair rating. It wasn't awful, but far from good. What a shame 😔

30/05/2026: So disappointed I even wanted to try this restaurant! The young woman I spoke to was very hesitant. I think it was the chef who came to see me, but I wasn't convinced. I was the only customer, and I understood why when I saw the quality of the meal and the bill: for €20, a quarter of a melon fighting over three small slices of cured ham (and nothing else), some reheated fries, and a piece of chicken that was also reheated (probably steamed since the skin wasn't grilled), and for dessert, a vacherin. You can find much better at a roadside diner for less. On top of that, you have to add a glass of sparkling water and a little mint syrup for €3.50 and a small coffee for €1.50. So sorry! And definitely not an experience I'll be repeating!

14/06/2026: One star because I can't give less. The portions are too small, which didn't surprise me given the reviews. They sell bubble teas only half full, and when you ask them not to rip you off, the cashier pretends not to speak French, even though she speaks it fluently! Avoid this place; the service is disastrous.

14/06/2026: One star because zero isn't an option. I went to the shop as a regular customer. When I arrived, the young man and the woman working there asked me to remove my one-star rating on Uber Eats because I had ordered repeatedly, and each time the bubble teas were undersweetened and too small, even though I constantly specify this on the app. This instruction is NEVER followed. I gave one star to express my dissatisfaction. This time, I went to the shop to get a bubble tea, and I HAD to come back from home to have them sweetened and refilled because they were undrinkable. Returning to the shop, the lady insulted me in Vietnamese while speaking to her colleague, thinking I didn't understand, because her colleague had retorted that my ratings were a problem because he was losing money because of them, when all you have to do is make the orders correctly, on the other hand, when the boss is there the orders have no defects and the staff are very friendly when the boss is there.

10/06/2026: I'm a tour operator and work closely with the Accor chain. This IBIS STYLE doesn't live up to the quality standards it bears. It's an older property, with rooms that probably haven't changed since it opened. The rooms have new, comfortable beds, but the rest of the furnishings are damaged from wear. The carpet is so worn that it no longer has the red and black color it once had. In the first Google photo, that hint of yellow isn't a reflection or a hue, but rather the color has faded over time (just look under the bed to find the original color). The bathroom isn't much better, with a wooden door with chipped paint and tub panels that fall off. Breakfast is rather meager, with few products and undrinkable coffee. The only positives: The kind and welcoming receptionists, the private parking, and the proximity to the city center. This hotel should be downgraded to an IBIS BUDGET!

09/06/2026: Basic Ibis hotel. Several problems arose during my stay. The Wi-Fi connection was nonexistent, forcing me to use my own phone; there was a problem with the payment terminal. Breakfast was basic: cold cuts, fruit juice, bread, pastries – the standard fare. The rooms were adequate. The reception staff were welcoming, friendly, and smiling.

04/07/2026: We returned to this restaurant, which we had discovered a few years ago, and it used to be a crêperie that was a real treat. Today, everything has changed. We arrived and there was no welcome whatsoever. The table was dirty, and we had to ask for the placemats to be changed (this should have been done beforehand). We weren't even asked if we wanted to eat inside or outside; we were simply shown out. I asked if they had non-alcoholic cocktails, and they said yes, but there was nothing about them on the menu. In short, the menu was useless: ten sheets of paper with a GPT (Google Play) showing us the dishes—we felt like we were at the market. There was very little choice, and the quality left much to be desired. The salad ingredients weren't even listed. No water was served at the table, and we didn't ask for it. The owner or waitress (I don't know which) smoking every 10 minutes in front of the restaurant... that's really off-putting. The salt and pepper shakers were sticky, and the bread basket was filthy with fingerprints everywhere... In short, avoid this place at all costs; we were very disappointed.

14/06/2026: We arrived with very few people there, the owner I think brought us the menu without a word or a glance, we waited 20 minutes, nobody came to see us even to order drinks... so we left when the order of a table that had arrived 5 minutes earlier was taken...

26/07/2026: Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. It started with several dishes and drinks that turned out to be unavailable. No Givry, no Fish & Chips, and after waiting for over half an hour, it turned out the Orangina was out of stock as well. We were only told this after we asked for it again ourselves. No alternative was offered. Remarkably, the food was on the table within five minutes. The Boeuf Bourguignon was fine, but far too salty. The duck breast had a good flavor, but was a bit dry on the outside. Fortunately, the bavette was well-received. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest problem. Our empty plates remained on the table for over half an hour, while the wait staff walked past several times. Eventually, we stacked everything ourselves so the children could play cards. The red wine, which was served by the carafe, was also disappointing and did not suggest that this was the wine we had ordered. With better staff and more attention to the guests, this could have been a fine restaurant. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing for us.

16/07/2026: So yesterday we decided to go for a drink in town. Crazy request, I ordered a decaf iced coffee. The waiter said no problem (well, no problem, right?). It arrived a little dark roasted, but nothing to complain about, very pleasant. I ordered a second one, decaf, of course. Not the same taste at all, but in conversation with my friends, I didn't mention it. Well, I didn't sleep until 4 a.m. (even though I don't usually have trouble falling asleep except when I drink... caffeinated coffee). Okay, it was just a mistake, but be careful. I don't have any serious health problems related to caffeine, but some people do.

07/04/2026: Warning! This establishment has been closed for 6 months, unfortunately...

30/10/2025: Excellent meal, excellent wines. It's a shame the locals didn't participate. We were the only ones there.
