17/12/2024: Ordered on Uber. A single small piece of white ham, a single piece of raw ham. 13€ per pancake for so few ingredients I find it expensive. Too bad because it’s really good.

26/08/2024: Chez Roger was recommended to my wife and I by a friend. On arrival we were greeted by our host Raphael who spoke perfect English. He suggested we sat outside and had a drink before dinner. I enjoyed a locally distilled Pastis, made in Caen. Raphael then explained that the meal was to be five course but we would not be given any details until each dish arrived at the table. He did let us know that it would be predominantly seafood so a white wine might be advisable. We were shown to our table in a very nice dining room. Every table was lit by a large candelabra adding to the atmosphere. When the food started to arrive each dish was explained in meticulous detail. I don’t have the words to explain how nice each course was. The standout dish was half a lobster flambéed at the table in calvados, superb. We were advised on the wine by one of the young waiters and it was the nicest wine I have ever tasted. A fantastic evening that I would like to repeat as soon as possible. Not the cheapest meal available for this area but without doubt fantastically good value. The head chef is Emma, we didn’t get a chance to meet her but I understand she was trained and worked in Paris, it showed. An exceptional evening that I cannot fault in any way. A big thank you to Raphael, Emma and their team.

09/01/2025: After a hike at Pic St Loup we stopped for lunch in this brasserie. The welcome is very friendly and the dish of the day + dessert were delicious. Everything is homemade and it shows. In addition, the prices are completely reasonable.

08/07/2025: Very nice discovery of this restaurant, friendly welcome. Many rooms including a terrace overlooking olive trees to discover in summer. Excellent meal, succulent and tender ribeye steak. Dessert that reminded me of my childhood with this French toast. A nice menu awaits you with many choices. Small downside, 2 choices of rosé wine see with the cellar of Coudoux (St Hilaire) which is a stone's throw from your place that I know 😉. To be seen again. Back, this Sunday, July 6, 2025. Always many choices, ordered octopus plate, what a shame to drown this octopus with this tomato marinade from which the taste is no longer there. Then we ordered Ribeye steak requested rare returned overcooked, what a shame. Then given the number of customers, why not separate them a little, it would avoid hearing the dirty conversations of the neighbors. So, we shortened our meal, no dessert, no coffee. Our joy of having a good time is gone 🤨

09/09/2024: Spent our second evening in Toulouse and Meet the Meat. Had a good meal although were given options of rare or well done but medium would be better for the cut of meat. Great value for money and a great team! Super busy which says it all. My partner had the largest cut of steak and it was a monster!

27/09/2024: We loved it! Very good dishes, all the staff very friendly and pleasant, and a quiet terrace, on a pedestrian street with trees... and as a bonus, the Seine and Notre Dame just behind the trees. We feel the desire to satisfy the guests. Not to be missed!

26/09/2024: Small, simply but harmoniously furnished restaurant with fewer than 16 seats and a small menu with five exceptional dishes. If you choose from the menu (you can choose from 3, 4 or 5 courses), there is a lot more than just a few options. Excellent service.

19/09/2024: Very pleasant surprise at this restaurant where I had the chance to dine. I think (or hope) that the star is not far away. It would be entirely deserved for this young team which already shows a great mastery of flavors.

27/09/2024: Without a doubt the best creperie in the Lyon region and a real corner of Brittany in Villeurbanne. It's good, it's fresh and the service is top notch. The ingredients are of exceptional quality and the dough for the pancake is exceptional. Not to be missed under any circumstances.
