24/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! The setting is lovely, you feel right at home as soon as you arrive, and the welcome is truly top-notch. The food is flawless: local, high-quality ingredients, well-seasoned and generous portions. Special mention goes to the hand-cut beef tartare, absolutely magnificent—a real treat! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end and had a fantastic evening. A place to remember, we'll gladly return!

08/04/2026: As some of the first guests of the season, we found the property to be exactly as pictured, with a lovely atmosphere in the common rooms. We especially appreciated the owner's personal welcome and his kindness in helping us throughout our stay, including preparing the fireplace for us at night. The property has been in his family for over a hundred years! The meals, particularly the breakfast spread, were excellent. Our two children also had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and riding bikes along the property paths. While the weather was too cold to use the pool, it looks like a fantastic amenity for warmer months. Overall, it was a truly magical visit that our family will always remember.

05/04/2026: The Château des Briottières is magnificent. We were greeted by Arnaud, the owner, upon our arrival. The estate is absolutely incredible. We were the only guests on that weekday and were able to fully enjoy the tranquility of the château and admire the different rooms and their individual decor. We had a meal served in the dining room, and beforehand, we enjoyed an aperitif in the green lounge. Impeccable service and a very warm welcome. Thank you, and please continue to maintain this wonderful estate.

15/03/2026: A culinary experience of rare delicacy… I had the pleasure of lunching today at the Auberge du Pont d’Acigné, and I leave with a heart full of gratitude. My appetite was modest this lunchtime, and the team welcomed it with a kindness and understanding that demonstrate a true sense of hospitality, without judgment, without pressure, with a sincere attention to the well-being of the guest. This is rare, and it deserves to be commended. My delight? I traveled. Chef Sylvain Guillemot's cuisine is an invitation to a sensory journey, a cuisine that speaks, that surprises, that touches. A big thank you to him. Thank you also to Isabelle, the sommelier, for her insightful advice and her contagious passion. And a very special mention to our server, a tall, dark-haired man whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, who answered all my questions about the edible plants featured on the plates with remarkable precision and passion. The welcome is warm and you immediately feel at ease. The food is also excellent: the dishes are delicious and you can taste the quality. The dishes are delicious; for example, my last choice, being a fan of sweet and savory, was a mignon with a light grapefruit sauce, followed by quince with a small basil ice cream for dessert... a pleasant surprise. A phone call in advance to reserve is essential.

They offered an Easter menu, as well as an à la carte selection, all homemade (and it shows!), which changes monthly, plus a menu featuring regional classics (carbonnade, Welsh rarebit, chicken with Maroilles cheese, beef). As the chef so aptly put it at the end of our meal, going to a restaurant isn't just about eating; it's a complete experience, and the team clearly understands this. Not only were the homemade dishes generous and delicious, but the service was impeccable and friendly, and the chef was always available to chat with us. Go there, you won't be disappointed! We, for one, will be back.

Expect to pay €100 per person; it was very good, but a bit pricey in my opinion. Given its location and the large number of tourists, the menu should be available in French and English.

The staff is fantastic, always attentive to their customers. I'm a huge fan of the chicken supreme with morel sauce and the little potatoes (spaetzle when they're in season), and every time it's an explosion of flavor. Absolutely top-notch.

02/05/2026: What a change of scenery just 30 minutes from Valenciennes! The service was top-notch. The setting was idyllic. And the food was simple yet delicious. I've never eaten such a tender and flavorful piece of beef in my life!
