06/10/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, passing through Duclair, and it was a very lucky find. We enjoyed some truly excellent home-style cooking, including perfectly cooked veal kidneys accompanied by delicious and beautifully presented vegetables, and to top it all off, one of the best homemade mashed potatoes I've ever tasted. What more could you ask for, especially since the prices are very reasonable? We'll definitely be back on our next visit.

03/10/2026: A pleasant surprise! I went without really knowing what to expect, but I don't regret it at all. Everything is homemade, from the appetizers to the desserts, including the bread. Plus, the waitress was very friendly.

04/10/2026: We came on a Saturday evening. The welcome was incredibly pleasant, and the service was perfect. Tiphany was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire evening. The Welsh rarebit was perfect, the authentic burgers are a must-try, and the roasted Camembert was more generous than ever. I highly recommend it.

Three glasses of very average, not-so-chilled champagne, served in different wine glasses...no accompaniments (tapenade, peanuts, etc.). The starter, main course, and dessert were good; no birthday cake. As for the wine, the quality was far below the price!

05/09/2026: Visited as part of a themed tour with two narrators: a very clear guide and a talented early music musician and singer. The abbey church is a gem and the exhibition rooms are very pleasant (an interesting exhibition on the flood, referencing the fresco of Noah's Ark).

01/09/2026: There were five adults and one child in our party, and we asked to be seated on the terrace, which had a magnificent view. The waiter's welcome was very pleasant and professional; these were our only positive points. Otherwise, the food was average, especially considering the price. For example, the Aravis salad consisted of bagged salad, admittedly a generous portion, but without any dressing, with a small amount of gravlax and a tiny piece of trout rillettes on toast that tasted identical to what you'd buy in a supermarket. The Aravis salad also contained a large amount of tasteless bagged salad with bland blocks of Reblochon cheese and a very salty slice of Savoy ham. As for the Savoyard burger I ordered, the meat was overcooked, even though I had asked for it medium. It came with small, boiled, and tasteless potatoes. The slice of Savoyard cheese was ridiculously small, not to mention the tasteless tomato slice. The lamb shank and the Savoyard escalope were decent, but considering the price, we expected better quality. I wonder, given some of the rave reviews, if the current chef is still the same! In short, we were disappointed by this restaurant!

30/08/2026: We had a wonderful culinary experience during our stay in Leschaux. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. The service was quick and the local dishes were delicious, made with quality ingredients. I highly recommend it. The setting and the view are also worth the trip.
