23/05/2026: I was unable to get to my Seine River dinner and was feeling a little sorry for myself. Walking back to my hotel, I came upon La Bonne Excuse. What a lucky find! I had a delightful solo dinner - excellent food, nice wine and lovely proprietors. I had the foie gras—yum! Not something I eat often but it was delicious, served with a red jelly which added a nice touch. Then I had the asparagus starter which was very different, but delicious. It was white asparagus, lightly grilled, with some bits of salty ham. I know, sounds strange, but it was very good. Had the vanilla ice cream with chocolate fondant. A couple of glasses of white burgundy topped it off.

26/05/2026: I had lunch there with my family on Whit Sunday, but sorry, the omelet menu was just okay! The place is full of history, but it was just okay! The staff were attentive, but the menu was very expensive and, again, just okay!

24/04/2026: The food was excellent and the desserts were to die for (special mention for the cheesecake). The service was top-notch, the waiters were lovely, and the chef's greeting was fantastic! The terrace is perfectly situated and very peaceful!

16/04/2026: A superb lunch with excellent dishes. I was in the mood for offal, so I opted for the sweetbreads with asparagus marmalade and preserved lemon broth as a starter. Delicious and intensely flavorful without overpowering the delicate sweetbreads. The main course was veal liver with very fine mushrooms, which I thoroughly enjoyed, while the apple and Calvados soufflé was a true delight for the senses. So simple, so good, and so difficult to achieve at home. The restaurant was packed that day (for once, and all the better for the owners), so some waits were a little longer. A restaurant that incorporates the essential elements of fine dining (tablecloths, presentation plates, decor, and the use of high-quality ingredients in the kitchen) at a reasonable price (€50 for the lunch menu), with a focus on quality service. A great business restaurant option with a balanced atmosphere to discuss the codicils of the contract without the pressure of a stuffy environment.

13/06/2026: This restaurant was recommended by a friend before we came to Paris. We accidentally made a reservation for the wrong day and they got us in anyways. Food was great, service was awesome and the prices are quite reasonable. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

12/05/2026: Nothing extraordinary, just okay. We were more struck by the waiter's lack of professionalism than by the quality of the food. We spent a long time trying to figure out if he was trying to be funny but was too bad at it, or if he was simply very unpleasant. A bad experience.

31/05/2026: A perfect evening at Maison Kervarrec 🌟 We were lucky enough to dine on the terrace on a beautiful evening, and frankly, it's hard to imagine anything better. The setting, the light, the ambiance… everything was perfect for a wonderful start to the evening. But it was really the team that made all the difference. Attentive, warm, and caring without ever being intrusive—we felt taken care of from beginning to end. The courses flowed seamlessly, each one bringing something new, perfectly balanced, and elegant. And the wine recommendations were outstanding: precise, approachable, and perfectly paired with our meal. We left with that rare feeling of having experienced something truly exceptional. When you ask yourself, "When will you get that third star?", that pretty much sums up the level of quality. This is an address to absolutely keep in mind. Bravo to the entire team. 🙏

10/04/2026: A fantastic restaurant that changes its menu several times a year to offer new dishes and seasonal produce. The dishes are elegantly presented, and the flavors live up to the presentation. Special mention goes to the vegetarian options (surprising for a meat lover like me), but the butternut squash quenelle and falafels on the current menu are truly exceptional! The warm and efficient service makes the experience even more enjoyable. The daily specials are also on par with the current menu!

01/06/2026: Hello, I'm very disappointed. I called six times today. It was around 1:30 PM. I wanted to reserve a table for two, and no one answered. Yet the recorded message said, "Please hold, we'll get back to you." So after six attempts, I gave up. Very poor service for what is supposedly a great restaurant. Have a good evening.

17/06/2026: We loved this restaurant for its helpfulness (they found us a table on our first night even though we hadn't booked), the kindness of the extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, the quality of the food, and the welcoming atmosphere. A highly recommended experience that we'll definitely repeat.
