21/10/2025: This is a very nice stop on the road to the south! A pleasant and attentive welcome, and thoughtful towards our dear little four-legged travelers, from staff who seem comfortable in their own skin. A beautiful, well-kept establishment with interesting architecture, with its suspended lounge, its terrace adorned with superb lime trees and all flowered! Careful decor, comfortable rooms. And refined and delicious cuisine including for breakfast where you can taste the excellent homemade jams. A very safe address to go and recharge your batteries in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne valley and close to the pretty village of Vitrac, its beautiful church which calls for meditation and its attractive café/artist gallery, "l'école buissonnière" not to be missed!

07/03/2026: The restaurant is inaccessible without a reservation due to its popularity. The tarte flambée is generously topped and absolutely delicious. Most of the homemade desserts are hearty and flavorful. Mmm... we leave the restaurant only to return.

04/01/2025: On a Friday evening, no more sole, no more whole lobster. So I chose monkfish fillet. On my plate I received 3 small pieces curled up with the scent of ammonia....so I couldn't eat anything. The lobster bisque consisted of a tiny quenelle... The champagne by the glass tasted really special...

11/03/2026: A wonderful discovery at number 36 in Vallauris. The pizzas are excellent, truly Italian with perfect dough and quality ingredients. The tiramisu is also delicious. A very warm welcome and top-notch service. I highly recommend it!

22/02/2026: Rather disappointed. On the plus side, the atmosphere was cozy and intimate. But from the start, it was a bad experience. The website states that the restaurant opens at 7:15 pm, but it actually opens at 7:30 pm. There were three couples and a family waiting outside. The service was also odd; the first person to order wasn't served. As for the food, it was very good, comparable to what you can find elsewhere for a bit less in Bourges, but the portions were small. The side dishes, for example, were tiny—quinoa, which isn't that expensive! I left feeling a bit hungry after a three-course meal.

28/01/2026: Far too cold for a renowned restaurant; the first table is placed near the entrance, creating too much of a draft. A suggestion: put up a curtain to block the cold and raise the temperature by 2 or 3 degrees.

09/03/2026: Excellent brasserie with great fresh ingredients and generous, delicious dishes. The service is incredibly fast, and you can order the daily specials to take away for just €10. A fantastic spot in the neighborhood!

09/03/2026: We went to La Comète this Saturday around 3 pm. The service was amazing, the steak with pepper sauce was delicious, and the snails were remarkable. The pavlova dessert was exceptionally delicious. The waiters also spoke good English!

08/02/2026: A mixed experience. We hadn't been back for about ten years and had very fond memories of both the food and the service. The cuisine is still as good and refined as ever. We chose the tasting menu with wine served by the glass, which was also very good. It was the service that disappointed us. The manager was very professional, but another waiter was primarily responsible for us. He was pleasant, but he did the bare minimum. No water was offered. We constantly had to ask for more wine. The wine was served very inconsistently, even though there's a clearly marked line on the glass to ensure proper pouring. So, some glasses were full, others only half full... however, the bill charged us the full price. We did mention this for the last glass and were subsequently refilled. I assume that for a restaurant of this caliber, this shouldn't happen and that the service should be impeccable (the same goes for his attire—dirty sneakers were surprising). Was he an extra? In short, the restaurant lives up to its reputation for good food, but it's a shame the service didn't match. We'll still be back, though. Looking forward to it.

06/02/2026: We opted for the tasting menu with eight courses. A very good and varied menu. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We will return to try the Rouen-style duck.
