01/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Tortue restaurant in Honfleur. When we made the reservation by phone, we mentioned that we were gluten-free. Once there, the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the necessary precautions and clearly explained which dishes could be prepared gluten-free. A large part of the menu is available as is or can be adapted. We enjoyed a delicious meal at a reasonable price (around €40 for three courses). The restaurant is located slightly outside the town center, which is actually an advantage: the atmosphere is calm, warm, and welcoming, away from the tourist crowds.

30/06/2026: I had heard many compliments about the Brasserie d'Orléans from colleagues. We had lunch there with other colleagues, and I must say that my impression has been mixed ever since. I ordered beef tartare with homemade fries. The tartare was very sinewy and served flattened across the entire plate, without any shape. In fact, I practically had to put half of it aside because of the sinew. It was very vinegary and spicy. The homemade fries were delicious, as was the homemade sauce. The Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) was absolutely divine, and the coffee was also very high quality. The champagne was served in a tiny glass, which was a bit surprising at first. The waitress was very pleasant and efficient in serving us and relaying any issues (with the tartare) to the chef.

They have a small menu, but everything is delicious, full of flavor and tradition. The owners are delightful, and despite the language barrier, we understood each other perfectly. 16/07/2026: Disappointed with our experience, and surprised given the establishment's reputation. The dishes were bland (we weren't expecting large portions, but rather unusual flavors and textures). The apple and fish carpaccio appetizer consisted of nothing but apple and two tiny pieces of fish, and the cucumber, shrimp, and crab appetizer was similarly bland, with only cucumbers. The fish dishes were tasteless, as were the desserts. The service and prestige were evident, but not on the plate (though certainly on the bill), which was a shame.
