10/09/2026: I came on a friend's recommendation, and I wasn't disappointed! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal from start to finish. I opted for the set menu (starter/main/dessert), which was perfect in terms of both the quality and the portion sizes. They also gave excellent wine recommendations. This is a place you absolutely must visit if you want to have a wonderful time!

24/08/2026: Authentic cuisine worthy of our region. That evening, the 12-hour confit lamb was a marvel; I could have easily had another plate. The dessert was a meringue shaped like a porcini mushroom—a must-try. Bravo!

24/08/2026: A place not to be missed!!! It's definitely worth the drive to dine at this gem! The value for money is excellent, the service is perfect, and the location is lovely. Our only regret is living more than three hours away. The food is excellent, demanding, and I don't see how anyone could be disappointed. The portions are generous. The time between courses is perfect, and despite the amount we ate, we left feeling full but light. A big thank you to the Chef for the quality of his work, a huge thank you to the lovely waitress, and congratulations on the quality of your establishment. If we travel to the Dordogne again, we will definitely be back!!!

27/09/2026: We are beyond thrilled… we are over the moon! Just a month and a half before our wedding, our previous caterer announced they were withdrawing. Needless to say, the situation was incredibly stressful just weeks before the big day. Habib agreed to take over our wedding with a smile, great kindness, and outstanding professionalism. He even agreed to keep the menu we had already chosen, without changing the price. From then on, all our communication was smooth, quick, and reassuring. We immediately felt we were in good hands. And to get back to the main point: everything was simply excellent! For us and our guests alike, it was a resounding success, with a special mention for the savory éclair, which will be remembered for years to come! 😍 All of our guests congratulated us on choosing Café du Midi as our caterer. But beyond the quality of the food, we were also won over by the personal touch. Habib and his entire team were fantastic, with a special mention for his sister in the dining room, who particularly impressed us with her kindness, smile, and good humor throughout the day. The team took care of everything for our wedding, from the cocktail hour to the meal, and even the cold brunch the following day, and everything went perfectly. So, once again, a huge thank you to Habib and his entire team for helping to make the most important meal of our lives such a beautiful and memorable experience. After the situation we found ourselves in a few weeks prior, we couldn't have hoped for a better encounter. We wholeheartedly recommend Café du Midi, and this time, as regular customers, we will be delighted to come back for lunch during the week! 🤍

09/08/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, what a lovely surprise! We had an excellent meal. The owners are delightful and very welcoming. We were seated on the terrace with our baby and dog, enjoying the sound of cicadas. I highly recommend it. The ingredients are fresh and homemade as much as possible. Thank you again for this wonderful break before continuing our road trip.

08/05/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We were able to have lunch on their terrace. Be sure to book in advance if you want to be seated there. The staff is very attentive, from the young woman serving us to the gentleman behind the bar who gives a very warm welcome. The meal was excellent, with delicious dishes. We've included photos. 06/09/2026: We had a lovely evening at Au Pied de Bœuf. On a mild summer evening, we were able to sit outside. The terrace was quite busy – so reservations are definitely recommended – but the atmosphere was still pleasant and relaxed. For our starter, we had the escargots, which were perfectly seasoned with herb butter. This was followed by a Salade Niçoise, and for our main courses, the traditional Baeckeoffe and an Angus steak with Béarnaise sauce. The Angus steak, in particular, was wonderfully tender and cooked to perfection. The wine recommendation, a Pinot Gris from Alsace, was also a perfect match for the food. Our only minor criticism: Unfortunately, we weren't informed that the kitchen was closing soon. As a result, we couldn't order dessert, which we had been really looking forward to. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful evening and would gladly return.

11/07/2026: A very good meal at this little restaurant! We had the vegetable and burrata platter, which is an assortment of seasonal vegetables and a burrata with a gazpacho-style sauce—it was delicious! For our main courses, we had the crispy pork loin and the duck, both absolutely sublime, with crisp, delicate vegetables and a very pleasant sauce! I read in another review that the decor was a bit simple for such good food, and I agree. It's also a shame that there were very few people there. Perhaps they should update their social media and website a bit more? But don't miss out, because the food is absolutely fantastic!!

21/06/2026: I've been traveling through my beloved France for 12 days now. Today I had the best meal of all. The best salad I've ever eaten in France. Gran Compliment! They initially wanted to turn me away because all the tables were occupied. I asked for the high table and was able to stay. Thank you so much! 24/05/2026: Two stays at this establishment, a year apart, and each time the same warm and welcoming atmosphere, spacious and well-equipped rooms at a very reasonable price, and an affordable breakfast with good quality products. A lovely terrace. The overnight package I tried last year was perfect. This type of establishment, which prioritizes customer service and comfort, deserves our support and is truly appreciated.
